Summery: Toshiki and Shido just get it.
Warnings: Anime continuity with a hint of manga (apparently Fuuga and Shido butted heads a lot back in the day).

After the incident in Mugenjou with MakubeX and Masaki, one of Kazuki's old crew started helping out MakubeX once and a while... though only at Kazuki's request. Occasionally, when Shido would swing by to help out a little himself, they'd end up working together.

Of course it was a little rough at first, both remembering battles fought between them back when Shido was on his own and Kazuki was running Fuuga. But the more time spent together, the more they realized how similar they were to one another. Like how Toshiki shared Shido's same distain for most of humanity, and how Shido could appreciate Toshiki's dry sense of humor - something that had caught him by complete surprise. 

Of course they still disagreed on a lot of things, and still sometimes fought over the stupidest of things (like Sakura; though once Toshiki realize that Shido didn't actually want Sakura for himself and was just looking out for her, the fight ended with both of them getting their asses kicked by Sakura herself. But of course, it was in the nicest way possible, since it was Sakura).

Kazuki teased Shido about his odd friendship with Toshiki, "How can you be friends when you hardly say a word to each other?"

 

"We don't have to."

They just simply got each other.
