The white wings of a dove
White and pure like snow
For no matter how they are broken
They are forever pure

I had looked up to you
Adored you and gave you my heart
You were everything I wanted
But the abyss took you over

I looked down upon my trembling hands
Your crimson blood spilled upon them
I felt the scream caught in my throat
I could not let it go

They told me many things
To help me get through your death
But did they not know I caused it
So how could I ever be at peace

And I was consumed
I fell blindly into the darkness
I could not be saved
I could not be forgiven

But then I met the Angel
Who rescued me from the Inferno
And he lavished me with his love
Slowly I was saved

No matter how much they are stained with blood
The wings of a dove remain white
And though I am no longer innocent
In my eyes you will forever be
