*Sigh* No I don't own my Ryu…
There's a little OOC for Ryu in this chapter, I really just put my own reasoning behind the way he acts.
Ryuichi Sakuma rarely found it necessary to be serious. Except when it came to music, and…his overwhelming love for Kisa Seguchi. So, he was deadly serious as he watched her sleep. He hadn't meant to scare her when he'd reached out to her. It was just that he'd seen her running and she looked so terrified that he had felt the urge to hold and protect her. The sound of her scream when he'd touched her, had scared the living daylights out of him. It broke his heart that something, or someone, could instill that much fear in her. But, when she had whispered his name, as if in relief, he had felt as if float away. She had been relieved that it had been HIM to catch her. So, he had carried her back to his apartment and put her in his bed. He had even put Kuma next to her for comfort.
As Ryuichi was still immersed in thought, Kisa began to thrash around and cry put.
“Let me go! Get away from me! No…no, not Eiri! Help!”
Ryuichi hurried over to her and smoothed his hand over her hair to comfort her. To his surprise, she turned into his caress.
“Ryuichi, Ryu, don't leave me.” She whimpered, surprising Ryuichi even further.
He would never leave her, hell he had loved her for at least half of his life. Even if she didn't feel the same way, it was enough to know that, right now, she needed him. He climbed into the bed behind her, and pulled her back against his chest, holding her close. He was relieved when she sighed and relaxed into his body. He only wished that she would need him this much when she was awake. He pulled her closer, wrapping himself around her in protection. He never wanted to let her go.
Kisa was warm…and oh so safe. She didn't want to leave this warm haven that she suddenly found herself in. She reluctantly opened her eyes to see..Kumagoro? She reached out and brought Ryuichi's stuffed pink rabbit close, holding it to her chest. Then, she really thought about it. Ryuichi never left Kuma anywhere. So, she must be at Ryuichi's place. She moved to get up, but noticed an arm draped over her hip, holding her in place. She tried to roll forward, but the arm tightened, pulling her back against a strong chest. A strong chest that matched strong hands. Ryuichi's hands. She was in bed with Ryuichi…what the hell?!
The last thing that she remembered was running away from Eiri, then…Ryuichi had caught her, and she passed out. He must have brought her back here after she had passed out. But, why was he in bed with her? He was the one who had made her feel safe. She had dreamt of that night in New York with Eiri, and she had felt helpless as usual. But, then Ryuichi had shown up. He saved her, made everything from that night go away. She turned to face him, to thank him, only to find that he was asleep. He had held her all night.
His sleeping face aroused her inner artist. She brought her hand up and traced his sleeping features, wishing that she at least had her sketch pad, so that she could draw how relaxed he looked, how peaceful, how…attractive. Her heart sped up a little as she continued to trace his features, combing her fingers through his hair. Her fingertips trailed down over his ears, his cheekbones, and hesitated at his lips. As she traced his lower lip, she glanced up and gasped. His eyes were open, and he was watching her with a very intense gleam in his eyes. She opened her mouth to say something, anything, but nothing came out. She put her hand to her mouth as her eyes widened. Ryuichi seemed to understand. The gleam in his eyes was replaced with concern, his face contorted with worry, and he looked very intent, very serious.
“Kisa, can you talk?”
She shook her head, and he frowned. He rolled over to lie on his back, and stared at the ceiling in thought. Kisa shifted next to him, and set Kuma on his stomach.
“To help me think?” he asked, as if reading her mind.
She smiled, he understood her, even better than Tohma did. She didn't have to worry with Ryuichi. She was safe.
That smile, it shot through Ryuichi like lightning. He just stared at her for a few minutes, trying to keep his intense passion to himself. Suddenly, as he always did when he was trying not to show how he was really feeling, he seemed to revert to his childish self.
“Kisa, maybe you should talk to Kuma. You don't need to say anything for him outloud. He'll understand. You wanna try?”
She smiled gently and nodded. He started to sit up and reach for the stuffed bunny, when she placed a hand on his chest. She pushed him to lie back down, and moved to place her head next to Kuma.
Instantly, the intense, focused Ryuichi was back. She sighed, and his stomach tingled where her warm breath had touched him. He fought to hold himself still, to keep himself under control. If only her head would shift a little lower…
Ryuichi mentally shook himself, he couldn't allow himself to have such naughty thoughts.
He nearly jumped out of his skin when she laid her head directly on his stomach, staring at his pink rabbit. She didn't say a word, just stared at Kuma. He could match his breathing to hers by the puffs of warmth against his stomach. And that wasn't the only place Ryuichi was feeling warm. It was driving him crazy. He grabbed her shoulders and pulled her up to lie next to him again. If he was going to behave, he needed her to stay away from certain areas of his body. He needed a little distance. He sat up and moved to the edge of the bed.
“You should get some rest Kisa. I'll go find something for you to eat.”
As he moved to get up, he felt her grab his arm and pull him back. He turned his head, and gasped as he met her eyes. Her blue-grey eyes were filled with fear.
“I'll be right back.” He said, only for her to shake her head vigorously.
“I'm not going to leave you. I'll be right down the hall.”
He stood, trying painfully to ignore the tears forming in her eyes. It broke his heart to hurt her, but if he didn't get away from her, he was going to lose what little control he had left. He was about to leave the room, when she launched herself at him, knocking him to the floor. She was straddling him, a wild look in her eyes. Before he could say a word, she leaned down and kissed him. Ryuichi's hands, which had reflexively lifted to her hips to steady her, now tightened to clamp her in place. Her mouth was so sweet, so warm. He felt her tongue push into his mouth, and felt like he was about to explode. He decided that if he died now, he would die a happy man.
She broke off the kiss, and pulled away far enough to look at his face. Ryuichi was past control, his hips arched up against her, and he heard her gasp even as he felt her shudder at the feel of his passion for her. Only for her. He slid his hands up her sides to rest beneath her breasts. As he circled her nipples with his thumbs, he felt her hips push down into his. He groaned as she kissed him again. Kami, he thought, I'm going to come right now, and she hasn't really even touched me.
Overwhelmed, Ryuichi flipped Kisa onto her back, and rolled on top of her.
“Kisa,” he groaned as his body shoved against hers in a futile attempt to fuse itself to her.
He was so filled with feeling that it took him a moment to realize that she was pushing against his chest, and making little whimpers in the back of her throat. He sat up and pulled her into his lap, holding her as she struggled to get free.
“”Don't worry Kisa. I just want to hold you. Let me help you Kisa.”
She sagged against him, and started sobbing.
“Oh baby. What happened to you? Why are you so afraid?”
When she just clutched him tightly and continued to cry, he held her. Someone had hurt her, and Kami help them if he ever found out who.
The next morning, Kisa marched into Tohma's office and closed the door. She was fully prepared to give her brother an earful. Eyeful was more like it, seeing as she would have to write what she wanted to yell at him. She marched over to stand in front of Tohma. She was so angry at her brother that she couldn't see straight. He stood, and moved as if to hug her. She stepped back and slapped her brother across the face. He fell back into his chair, and stared up at her in surprise. She opened her notepad and showed him the prepared explanation. He paled as he read it.
“You saw Eiri?”
She nodded and wrote,
-Why didn't you tell me?-
“I didn't think that you would see him. You haven't even attempted to find him all these years, why should I have thought that you would now?”
-You knew about Shendo-
“Hai. So?”
-You knew he was with Eiri-
“Again, so?”
-Why not tell me when I met Shuichi?!-
He looked away for a minute, not wanting to face his sister when she was this angry. He sighed, and turned back to her,
“I was worried.”
She turned and went towards the door of his office. She was at the door when she stopped and wrote something. She ripped the page out of her notebook and held it against the door. Then, she made Tohma jump as she took out a pocket knife and slammed it into the door, pinning the paper there. She continued on her way out, slamming the door behind her. Only when she her footsteps had faded did Tohma look at what she had written. He paled even more as he read the single word:
-LIAR-
