Rei: This way, please.

Rei shows her the room, and as soon as she enters, Quatre races out the door. The poor boy looked as if he were about to have a stroke, the way he clutched at his chest.

Quatre: How'd she get here?! And why?!

Rei: Well, Dorothy heard that Wufei was sick and wanted to visit.

Quatre: *suspicious* How'd she know he was sick?

Rei: Good resources? *smile*

Heero: Wufei won't tolerate her in there even if he is sick and with delusions.

Rei: Well, I wouldn't say that. *chuckle* But anyway, I've got to go shopping with Lita. Oh, and Trowa, is our date still on for the day after tomorrow?

Trowa: *looks at the others nervously and blushes slightly*...yes of course...

Rei: Great! See you later! ^_-

Lita: Bye guys! ^_-

Duo: I still think she did something. Wufei hasn't screamed for Dorothy to get out. I'm gonna see what's up. *goes to door and opens...then shuts quickly* HoLy sHiT!!

Trowa: What is it?

Duo: He's fuckin around in there!

Heero: Thanks for the details, ya couldn't speak in more general terms could you?

Duo: Well la-dee-da! *nyah* It ain't my problem! Yo Q-man! What kind of tea did you give him?

Quatre: Herbal tea.

Trowa: Look, Rei left her bottle of "special relaxation."

Duo: Lemmie see dat. *sniff* Woooo-wee! That's some powerful shit!

Heero: *sniffls bottle* Votka?

Duo: It is? Boy Heero you sure know your alcohol!

Heero sweatdrops as Duo takes what little is left in the bottle and gulps it down.

Duo: Daaamnnn. She practically used the whole bottle!

Trowa: The results will be catastrophic.

Quatre: Now why would Rei do something so terrible to Wufei?

Duo: Cuz she's evil.

Heero: You'd better be careful Trowa.

Quatre: Yeah, she's nice and everything, but she has proved to be very tricky. To be on the safe side, you should break up with her.

Trowa: *stares*....leave me alone...

I should kill Heero and Quatre for saying that! Oh! The nerve! Well, anyway, we're gonna skip ahead a bit when Dorothy leaves and Wufei isn't in a hangover. The bastard doesn't remember a damn thing and the guys don't even bother telling him. Wufei finds a scrunchie in his bed, but his mind can't fully comprehend everything yet. Well anyway, the setting is at Heero's appartment and Wufei is sitting on the couch. Quatre is in his mansion trying to get out of debt. Trowa was preparing his date with Rei. Duo...well no one knew what the hell he was doing. Now, on with the story!

Heero: *looking out window* Why are you here anyway?

Wufei: Why you ask?

Heero: We really don't talk much.

Wufei: True, and that's exactly why I'm here. It's quiet.

Heero: What's going on?

Wufei: *sighs* You wouldn't understand.

Then the doorbell rings! (a/n funny how in a tense spot the doorbell always rings)

Relena: Hi Heero!

Heero: Can't you wait until I answer the door?

Relena: If you did that you wouldn't let me in, silly! *tee-hee* ^_^

Heero: That's true. How'd you get in here anyway?

Relena: How else? A key!

Heero: Nani temo? (what are you saying?)

Relena: I'm saying that I've seen your place and from what I've seen it could really use a woman's touch.

Wufei: Why, you've seen any?

Relena: *glare* Shut up!

Wufei: *rises* No, you shut up. If you're gonna stay here, I want quiet!

Relena: Well I think we should-

Wufei: You see THAT'S the problem. You think! The last thing I need is for you to start thinking!

Relena: But-

Wufei: But nothing! Now shut up woman!

Heero: If you want quiet why don't you go to your own house.

Wufei: I can't go back. Sally Po moved in and she won't leave me alone.

Relena: It's tough bein' you.

Wufei: I thought I told you to shut up!

Relena plops down in a chair and pouts while crossing her arms. Wufei relaxes as he sits back down on the couch, relieved that it's finally quiet.

Relena: *thinking* Oh, Heero is so cute! I could look in those deep cobalt eyes forever....

Wufei: *breathing faster and twitching*

Relena:*thinking* It's a shame that I can only dream about our romances. A moonlit stroll on the beach then him carrying me to our suite in that fancy hotel downtown, and then....

Wufei: AHHHH!!!!!! Why can't you just shut up! *runs out the door*

He continues to run utnil he reaches a coffee shop. He sits in a chair sipping his order of yet another java, still twitching at Relena's thoughts. Perhaps she shouldn't have left Heero alone with her. Oh well, he can take care of himself and right now throwing her out the window or something. His thoughts were interrupted by some chatter.

Serena: Hey Wufei! How's it goin?

Wufei: Hey meatball head.

Serena: Grrrrr! Woofy-chan!

Mina: I saw you and the guys on that Survivor show that Rei hosted. Did you have fun?

Wufei: It was a time of many injustices, much like now.

Mina: Wow! You're so deep!

Serena: Mina! Get a hold of yourself!

Mina: Oh right! I dunno what I was thinking.

Wufei: *muttering* I sure do.

Mina: What did you say?

Wufei: Nothing.

Mina: Oh my gosh! Serena take a look at that waiter!

Serena: Wow he's cute!

Mina: Back off, you have Darien! This guy is mine! *starts thinking*

Wufei: Uh I gotta go someplace.

Serena: Where?

Wufei: I have to stop at Rei's

Serena: Oh really? *sly grin*

Wufei: You really are hopeless, meatball brain.

Serena: GRRRRR!!! I'm gonna get you one day!

Wufei goes to Rei's Shrine and finds her sweeping the temple steps. He straightens his collar and brushes off some imaginary lint off his shoulders and puts a pleasent smile on his face.

Wufei: Good afternoon Rei.

Rei: Oh, hello Wufei.

Wufei: How are you?

Rei: Very well thank you.

Phobos and Deimos then came out of no where, attacking Wufei. Wufei flipped out as the two crows swooped down and pecked and snapped at him.

Wufei: Hey! What's the big idea!!!

Rei: Phobos! Deimos!

The two crows land on Rei's shoulders whle Wufei grunts and brushes his clothes clean. The once pleasent smile was now replaced by a scowl.

Wufei: What's with those crows? They got rabies or something?

Rei: Of course not. They know why you're here as well as I. Your facade cannot fool me.

Wufei: What gave that away?

Rei: Well, the first was that you came up with a "smile" on your face. That says right off that you're up to something. And the fact that you greeted me politely and actually said my name was another thing that gave away your shrewd tactics. Things becoming too unbearable for you?

Wufei: Hnnnn.

Rei: Amazing. The great and strong Wufei Chang overpowered by a woman. *chuckle* This will make headlines.

Wufei: Woman! Why don't you just-

Rei: No way in hell am I going to lift the curse from you! Now, is there anything else I can help you with?

Without answering, he just turned on his heels and left. Rei went inside to get ready for her date with Trowa. She wore a red kimono-type short dress that she knew was Trowa's favorite because in his words it was "quite slimming on her." She put on black heels and got her black purse. She wrapped her hair up and secured it in place with two black chopsticks with a red engraved design of a flamed pheonix on each one. Just when she secured her hair in place there was a knock at the door and Ami walked in.

Ami: Wow! You look nice! Going out?

Rei: Yes, with Trowa. We're going to the Olive Garden tonight.

Ami: Then maybe you should have dressed Italian instead of Japanese.

Rei: Good point. *giggle* But oh well, too late now. *pauses* Hey, is there something wrong Ami?

Ami: What?

Rei: You look like you've got something on your mind with that intense look in your eyes, like you're searching for something.

Ami: Well, in a way you're right. I'm searching for the right words to say to you.

Rei: What do you mean?

Ami: I came over hear for a very important reason. It's about Trowa.

Rei: What is it? Is he okay?

Ami: He's fine, I mean....sort of. *sighs* How can I put this simply. He's not being fateful to you.

Rei: You're kidding right?

Ami: Would I joke about something like this?

Rei: *in shock* B-but that can't be right!

Ami: That's what I thought, but I was wrong. I passed by the circus one day and saw him talking with Catherine. I thought it was nothing since he treats her like a sibling. However I kept watching and I saw her kiss him. Since he didn't make the move I wasn't too suspicious, but I decided to watch them more closely. Today I intercepted a phone call from Trowa to Catherine. He plans on ending your date early so he can be with her tonight.

Rei: NO! *pacing* That just can't be right! I mean, we were...he was...and I...

Rei was at a complete loss of words. Ami couldn't be serious! However, once she looked at her friend, she could see the confermation of her worst fears in her blue eyes. This realization hit her like a stone. For a brief time, she thought she had left her body and was whirling in a spiral leading to ....nowhere...to nothing...darkness...

Ami: Rei? You all right?

Rei: All right? You think I'd be all right after you just told me that my boyfriend is cheating on me with somebody whom he treated like a sister? You ask me if I'm all right?!!! *eyes-wide* Oh Ami I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to lash out at you like that!

Ami: I know. Even calm little me would freak if my boyfriend was being disloyal. But now you know what you have to do tonight right?

Rei: I have no choice.

(a/n: Okay for some of you, you might be thinking that what Trowa did was completely gross going out with his own sister, but in this story Catherine isn't his sister. Just thought I should put that in so as not to cause confusion and some other people just to throw up. Ok continuing on...)

That evening, Rei didn't speak much to Trowa. She was too concerned on how to ask him about Catherine. Should she just beat around the bush or just bluntly say it so as to catch him off guard? Trowa seemed his normal self that night; as if what Ami had told her was nothing more than a dream. Rei starred at the napkin she had twisted in her lap from her frustration. The only smile to grace her lips was to thank the waiter for pouring the wine. She felt she would need a lot more of it that night.

Trowa: Listen Rei, I'm going to have to shorten our date. I have some late-night work that needs to be completed by tomorrow...Rei? Are you listening?

Rei: Oh y-yes, it's fine.

Trowa: Are you all right? *places hand on hers* You haven't said much tonight. Have you been up late reading visions?

Rei: *pulls hand away* No, I haven't stayed up late, and NO I'm not all right.

Trowa: What's wrong?

Rei: *annoyed* What this crap I hear about you and Catherine?

Trowa: What?

Rei: I know that you're leaving early so you can be with her. Don't bother denying it! I've been a fool for so long now I should have just looked in your eyes for the truth; like now, I can finally see how you've changed....and you betrayed me!!

Trowa: What's this all about then?! You using your powers to read my mind?

Rei: No a reliable source informed me!

Trowa: So now you've got spies to watch my every move? Damn it Rei, what ever happened to trust?!

Rei: *slams napkin on plate* You're a fine one to talk about trust Trowa! What ever happened to loyalty huh!!? Who knows how long you've been with that girl! What are you going to say next, that you were with her while we were on the island!

Trowa: No!

Rei: How do I know if you're lying!

Trowa: Because it's the truth!

Rei: You don't deserve to be trusted anymore! *bolts up*

Trowa: Where are you going?

Rei: *gathers things* I'll be leaving so you can get an early start with your new girlfriend!

Trowa: *grabs arm* Rei just wait-!

Rei: Get the hell off me you bastard!

Rei shoved him into a waiter that was carrying a tray full of food. Both crashed to the floor spilling the contents everywhere. Trowa looked up at Rei bewildered while she merely glared at him. Taking the bottle of wine that was on the table she turned on her heels and left the restaurant.

It was pouring rain outside, but she didn't care. She didn't care that she was miles away from home with no transportation. She didn't give a damn about what could happen to her. All she wanted was...for all this to be a bad dream in which she'd wake up in her room with the sunshine lighting her life.
