Christmas Surprises

"This is way too small." Duo said, walking around the flat he shared with Heero, Quatre, and Trowa. Wufei had moved out almost immediately after they returned from their vacation.

"What are you rambling about now?" Heero asked, looking up from a book on pregnancy.

"The flat is too small to raise children in!" Duo said, flopping down onto the couch. He rested his head on Heero's lap and ran his hand lovingly over the messy haired boy's stomach.

Heero looked down and smiled into Duo's violet eyes, "I hope our child has your gorgeous eyes."

Duo smiled, but didn't say anything.

"We'll talk to Quat about it tonight during dinner," He paused, "Did you want to get our own place or…"

Duo cut him off with a vehement shake of his head, "No! I'd miss Quat and Tro way too much!"

Heero raised an eyebrow, "So what are you suggesting?"

"We need a house."

"A house."

Duo smacked his koi lightly on the arm, "Don't start," he grinned, "But, yes, a house. One big enough to raise two children in, secluded would be nice. Huge backyard. Wufei, Milli, and Treize as neighbors…"

"I see you've been thinking this out." Heero chuckled.

"Hey, give me some credit. That was all off of the top of my head."

"Really," Heero bent down to kiss Duo's nose, "You amaze me koi."

"I'm glad." Duo stood up and offered his hand to Heero, "Come on love. Let's get started on dinner."

"Okay." Heero stood up and the two walked into the kitchen. Duo was digging in the freezer when the phone rang.

"There's pork chops already thawing in the fridge. Start peeling potatoes or something." He picked up the receiver, "Hello?"

"Hi, Heero, it's Sally."

"Hi, what's up?"

"Umm, well, it's been close to a month now so I feel I should schedule your first checkup…"

"But the book said once or twice every three months…"

"Yes, for females. You are a male. I just want to make sure everything goes alright."

"Uh, ok. When?"

"Well, next week Tuesday is good. Four P.M?"

"That's fine."

"Okay, I'm setting up Quatre for four thirty then."

"All right. I'll be sure to let him know."

"Okay then. See you Tuesday."

"Bye." Heero hung up the phone and walked around the table to get a pot to start some vegetables. Duo reached out as Heero passed by and pulled Heero onto his lap.

"Who was it?" Duo asked, kissing his cheek.

"Sally." Heero replied, turning his head to receive a kiss on the lips.

"Oh?"

"Yeah. Baby's first check up."

"Oh, OH. Wow. It's been that long already?"

"A month."

"Wow." He leaned forward and rested his forehead against Heero's, "I love you and junior, Heero."

Heero chuckled, "We love you too."

"Awe, how cute!" Someone said and a flash went off.

Heero and Duo pulled apart slightly and glared at the door. Quatre and Trowa stood there, Quatre holding a camera.

"Sorry bout that." Trowa said, walking into the kitchen, "Quat insisted on buying a camera."

"Hey, good idea!" Heero stood up and ran down the hall to write himself a reminder, "Oh, before I forget, Quat, we have an appointment on Tuesday with Sally."

"Oh?" Quatre put the veggies on, and then sat down on Trowa's lap to finish the potatoes.

"Yeah. She called like seven minutes ago."

"Okay. What time?"

"I'm at four, you're at four thirty."

"Oh, all right."

They then prepared dinner in silence. Trowa and Duo looked up at the same time; "I've been thinking…" they both broke out in laughter.

"Go ahead Duo, you first." Trowa said.

"Okay. Well, I was walking around the apartment earlier and I came to the conclusion that this place is nor the best place to raise children."

"My thoughts exactly." Trowa said, "I was thinking a larger house somewhere, the four of us, a huge backyard…"

"Oh my God! Trowa, you're a genius!" Duo exclaimed.

"Uh, Duo, that's exactly what you said earlier." Heero said, elbowing his koi.

Duo beamed, "That's why he is a genius!"

(Well, this part is kinda boring, unless you're into architecture, or want a rough idea on what their new house is going to look like.)

"Well, here are the plans for the new house." Quatre said, dropping a bundle of rolled papers onto the floor in the living room, a few nights later.

"Ohh, lets see!" Heero slid off the couch and unrolled the one labeled, 'first floor.'

The foyer of the house turned off to the right to a small sitting area that only had walls that went half way to the ceiling. Going straight led to a dining room. Turning left from the dining room led to a large master bedroom which had a door right before hand that was labeled 'nursery.' The master bedroom had a set of shelves with a fireplace right in the middle of them. There was a walk in closet separating the nursery and main bedroom. The master bath held two sinks, a shower and whirlpool tub. This also contained a huge walk in closet.

Heero whistled, "Nice, Quat."

Quatre smiled and motioned for Heero to continue with his visual tour.

Back at the dining room, a wet bar on the dining room side and a pantry on the kitchen side separated the two rooms, with a hallway on each side. North of the kitchen was an open area family room, with a great view of the backyard.

Through a sliding door off the kitchen was a mini rec. room. A hallway went off of that which led to a garage. The first door on the right in the hallway was a spare bedroom and directly across the hall was another hallway leading north. The length of the hallway was a storage closet. At the end of the hallway was the door which led to another nursery. On the opposite side of that nursery was a door which led to another master bedroom of the same exact size.

"Didn't want us to feel inferior, eh Quat?" Heero asked with a smile.

"Of course not. You're bathroom is bigger but your closet isn't as large." Quatre answered.

Each side of the house had a three car garage, except the one on Heero and Duo's side had an option for an extension.

Heero re-rolled that plan and set it off to the side. He then reached for another roll marked basement. It held a laundry room, an extensive rec room and a bar.

"I like it Q-man!" A voice popped up from somewhere over Heero's left shoulder.

He jumped and turned his head, "Duo? Where did you come from?"

Duo grinned, "Hi to you too. I just got home," He smirked, "Groceries need to be put away."

Heero scowled, "Fine. I saw the new house anyway."

"Well Heero, you ready to see your baby?" Sally asked with a grin.

Heero nodded, "Yes, and please make it fast. I really need to pee."

Sally smiled, "I'm sorry, but in order for me to check your child, you need to drink the water. You're only a month along. Its not big enough to see without it."

"Sure, but 32 oz?"

"Yes, now lay back."

Heero did as instructed. He pulled up his shirt to show his slightly puffed up stomach. Sally placed a gel like substance on his stomach and on an instrument that looked like a store scanner. She then placed it on his stomach and looked intently at the monitor.

She pointed to a circle of sorts that was slightly smaller then a dime, "That's your child. It's still too small to see the full thing though."

Heero smiled, "Oh my God…"

"There's one thing I'm trying to figure out, but it is of no concern at the moment." Sally said as Heero watched the screen for a few moments. She then put down the scanner and went to check the slight vital signs that the embryo was sending out, "Well, everything's checking out good…" She paused when she noticed that the normally low vitals were twice as high as should be expected, she smiled at her secret, "Now you can pee." She said with a giggle.

(Not sure if this is how things actually are. Obviously I've never been pregnant, and my mom was of no help. She couldn't remember. *pouts*)

Quatre came out of Sally's office beaming. Heero and he looked at each other and just grinned.

"It's perfect! Very healthy." Quatre gushed.

Trowa kissed him, That's great!"

"Umm, there's one more thing…" Quatre blushed and Heero looked away with a smile.

Duo and Trowa paled slightly, "What?"

Quatre giggled and kissed Trowa lightly, "Uh, no sexual activities for the next two months or so…"

Duo's mouth dropped, "No shit!" He turned to his boyfriend, "Seriously?"

Heero nodded, "Seriously."

It had been close to two months since Heero and Quatre had found out that they were pregnant, and a little over a month and a half since Lady Une had placed them at desk jobs.

So, today, like any day, Heero was stuck in his office, paperwork piled high on his desk. He was about half way through one of the piles when the door flew open.

"Duo, I told you…" He looked up and saw not his boyfriend, but Relena Peacecraft marching in, excited. She bounded up to the desk and tried to glomp him, which he barely managed to avoid.

He turned his head and glared at the preppy princess, "Relena? What do you want?"

She smiled sweetly and sat down in the chair across from him, "Heero, I've set a date for our wedding."

The ex-pilot blinked a few times, "Uh, what? Relena...? I never agreed to this…"

"You love me don't you?" she gazed around the office, taking in her surroundings, "Um, Heero, what are you doing in this musty old office?"

"Where have you been for the past month or so?"

Relena blinked, and then shrugged, "Taking a vacation on one of my many estates."

The pilot of the late wing-zero sighed and shook his head, "I can't marry you Relena. I…I'm in love with someone else."

Relena sniffed and her nose instantly went up, "So? You loved me first, ne? Dump her and Marry me."

Heero sighed, he'd been doing that a lot since she came waltzing in, and rubbed his eyes, "I *never* loved you. You were under some stupid fucked up conclusion that I did, and I'm sorry, but I'd never dump *him.* I love him." He stopped talking for a moment, 'maybe if I tell her…' "I'm pregnant Relena."

Relena stared at him slightly dumbfounded, "What? Wait a minute…Him?!" she paused and contemplated Heero's last statement, "Hold it, hold it." She looked at him, "Heero, you're a guy. How the hell could you be pregnant?"

Heero sighted yet again, he was getting sick of that question, "Look. Before I was a gundam pilot, I was a test subject of Dr. J's"

"Who in their right mind would want to be his test subject?" She asked, the tone of her voice disbelieving.

"An orphan boy who didn't have much of a choice in the matter."

Relena shrugged off that particular subject, "Who is your…lover then?"

Heero smiled as a picture of the braided boy with brilliant violet eyes, flashed before his eyes. He sat back in his chair, "Duo."

Relena shot out of her chair, "What?! That braided brat!? Why Heero? I'm so much better then…then that…that…Street rat!"

Heero glared at her from his position behind the desk, "Relena, watch it! I love him more then anything else on the earths sphere or the colonies!"

Relena was fuming, "You mean to tell me, that you can love that bastard over me?! You must have jumbled your brain from self-destructing too much! I'm taking you to see Sally. Maybe she can talk some sense into you!" She stood up and grabbed Heero's arm. She managed to get him standing and around the desk before he managed to pull his arm back.

Heero glared at her, "No. I don't need to go anywhere. Now will you please leave so I can get back to work?"

Relena marched up to him and attempted to death glare at him, "No one orders Relena Peacecraft around. Especially not you!" She had been taking some karate class for self protection and decided it was time to test it out.

She quickly lashed out, aiming for his stomach. She missed, though and punched him squarely on the chest.

Heero's eyes went wide. He really didn't think Relena was the violent type, "Relena?"

She didn't seem to listen as she tried to punch him again. He easily blocked it. Soon, she was hitting and attempting to kick him, but the more he blocked, the more wild and majorly frustrated she became.

"Heero! You're the fucking bastard!" As she got more ecstatic, more of her punches began slipping through. They landed off target on his chest again.

Heero grunted and realized that she could do major damage if she continued in her assault. She wasn't hurting him, but the maternal instincts were kicking in, "Relena, stop! You'll hurt the baby!"

She continued with her kicks and punches, "I don't give a flying fuck! You're going to pay for insulting me in such a manner!"

Heero quickly turned around, so his back would start receiving the punishment. Soon, his back couldn't handle the constant weight and his knees buckled.

"Heero! You are going to marry me or no one at all! You are an insensitive bakayaro!"

Heero winced as she kept on going, 'Like the energizer bunny.' He thought idly through the warning signals the maternal instincts were sending his brain.

Suddenly, the door burst open wide, "Heero? We heard screaming…" Duo's eyes grew frantic at what he saw, "Oh shit, Heero!" The braided blur rushed into the room and attempted to pull the enraged princess off of the poor boy. It took him at least two tries to pull off the kicking terror in pink.

Duo stood in front of Heero after helping him up, "Thanks koi. I was so worried about the baby." Heero gave Duo a kiss.

Relena screamed in rage and tried to get at Heero again.

Duo slapped her across the face and glared at her, "If we didn't need you to keep peace, I'd kill your ass!"

Another man came to the door at Relena's screech. He looked down at the normally bubbly princess with a scowl, "Relena? What the fuck is going on?" He saw Heero in Duo's arms, Heero's own arms wrapped around his stomach in a protective manner. Both boys were glaring at the blonde haired air head.

The blonde turned on her heal to glare at her older brother, "Milliardo? Did you know about, about this?" She waved her hand frantically at the two lovers.

Milliardo nodded, "Of course. I was there when Heero found out he was pregnant." A chuckle escaped his throat.

Heero grunted and turned his gaze to Milliardo, "I see you still find this funny."

Milliardo smirked, "You bet. Treize does also."

Duo sighed, "Will you two ever give it a rest?"

Milliardo shook his head, "Nope, not a chance."

Duo sighed again, "Figures."

Relena glared at the three men, "I *will* marry Heero."

"Uh, Relena…What does Dorothy say about this?" Milliardo asked with a raised eyebrow.

That got Relena to shut up immediately. A crimson blush crossed her face as her gaze fluttered to the floor, "Umm…"

Milliardo's smirk quickly grew into a huge grin, "Well? Or does she not know?"

"She knows…but…well…um…I'm leaving now. Bye bye." She quickly dashed out the door.

Heero and Duo exchanged a look, and then turned to Milliardo, "What was that all about?" Duo asked.

Milliardo's grin didn't falter as he answered, "You don't know? She's dating Dorothy." He chuckled at the two boy's blank faces, "She's bi."

Heero paled slightly, "What?! And she wanted to marry me!?"

Duo made a face, "Eew, gross…"

Milliardo shrugged, "It's quite hilarious."

"You would think so…"

"You're right, I do, and Treize is gunna love hearing about this."

Heero groaned, "Give it a rest you two…please…"

Milliardo let a bellow of a laugh, "Why? The things that happen to you, Yuy, are quite humorous."

Duo looked at Heero with a thoughtful gaze, "Say Heero," Heero looked at him, "I think I've got a way to keep Relena off of you…"

Heero perked up at this thought, "Really? How?"

Duo smiled at him, "You'll find out later. Right now, I need to go shopping." He gave Heero a hug and a kiss, "Love ya." And with that he was gone.

Along the way, he ran into Trowa and Hilde, "Hey Trow, I have an idea…and we may need your help Hilde."

A/N I should clarify here that even though this isn't alternate universe and how this is a Japanese anime, same sex relationships are not frowned upon. In fact they are openly accepted. Keep this information in mind for further chapters. It will help with understanding some things.
