Feel No Shame

Wu Fei sat on the bed, nervously playing with his fingers. Usually he would rather die then let himself show nervousness, but it was only Heero in the room with him. Part of his surrogate `Family' from the war, he could trust those four with just about anything; including no mask and a heart full of confusion.

Heero sat on the floor in front of him, not a submissive move, but one of comfort and understanding, one of trust. “Tell me what you know.” Heero's voice was soft, but with a large undercurrent of his war-time mask.

The black haired male paused for a moment, compiling all he knew into the forefront of his head. The words easily spilled from his lips, and he only had a few hang ups, especially when it came to the whole mate thing and sex. Wu Fei was immensely proud of himself for not stumbling over the fact that he was a freshie and required blood. It served to remind him what he had almost done to Sally and what he had done to Heero.

Heero kept silent through the whole thing, nodding here and there in understanding. There was another moment of silence after Wu Fei's monologue as Heero thought. Finally, the usually silent teen burst fourth with his explanation. “Vampires are like a pack.” Heero started. “There are roles to be played and positions to be filled. One way we are different, like Dr. Raugust said, is that even though there is a role as Alpha, which does not give him or her absolute control of our lives.”

“About sex; it is an important activity in the lives of Vampires. The main reason for sex with humans is to spread vampirism. But sex between mated Vampires has many uses. One such use is to make the act of feeding between the mated as painless as possible. Another is to keep them close and intimate so that problems are slow to rise and are dealt with quickly.”

Wu Fei collected the information gladly. It seemed to sink in better now that Wu Fei had someone close telling him this, not someone he had just met and started spouting off things a mile a minute. He could ask Heero questions and not feel like he was being a nuisance. Heero had seemed to catch the thoughts from Wu Fei and took that as a signal to continue. “Physical touch also helps to calm an angered Vampire down, or help draw him out of Blood Lust. You know what happened last night was Blood Lust correct?” Heero asked almost hesitantly.

Wu Fei looked up at Heero and nodded his head. “I know, it was strange because it felt like I was…..something else.” Wu Fei did not have the words to describe it. But what had transpired that night would stick in his brain for a very long time. He had felt like an animal, free from inhibitions and expectations from society. He had liked it, very much. All of the lessons on self control and selflessness that had been taught to him as a child had been taken away and he had done what he had wanted.

A soft touch on his knee drew Wu Fei's attention back to the matter at hand. “There is still much for you to learn.” Heero said, a light smile playing over his lips. “But there is also still a lot for me to learn.” The smile faded from the blue eyed pilot's face as he spoke his next words. “We need to find Duo.”

That clicked something in Wu Fei's mind. “How did Duo turn you?” He asked, his body slightly tensing. Wu Fei thought that if Duo had wanted to turn Heero, then the braided idiot would have stayed with Heero to make sure that nothing went wrong.

Heero arched an eyebrow at that question. “I though it would have been obvious.” Heero stated. Wu Fei searched the other pilot's face and realization dawned on him. With a blush staining his cheeks, Wu Fei looked away and cursed his weakness to anything sexual.

A light but firm hand on his chin brought Wu Fei's face back to Heero's. Lips touched feather light against each other, a movement of comfort and acceptance. Heero was the one who pulled back, his slight smile on his face. “Now time to debrief Lady Une and Sally.”

Wu Fei winced at the reminder then watched as Heero stood up in a fluid movement, still naked. The Chinese Preventer controlled his blush and stood from the bed, gathering his mask and preparing for the confrontation that he knew was overdue. He deemed his clothes acceptable and waited for his mate at the door. Wu Fei rolled that word around his mouth, mate. It felt right when he associated it with Heero.

The blue eyed Preventer joined Wu Fei at the door, also wearing his mask. With a barely perceptible nod to Wu Fei, Heero opened the door and they both stepped out. The curtains, thankfully, were still closed and the door was shut, keeping out any hints of sunlight. The overhead light in the living room was on, but it was soft and did not cause a glare in the Vampires sensitive eyes.

The remnant of their nest was still on the floor in front of the overturned couch. Wu Fei's eyes were drug to the women and Dr. Raugust calmly sitting at the breakfast table off to one side of the living room. It started the separation of the front room and the kitchen. The three could see everything that happened.

Une had a look of understanding on her face, still looking at the doctor. Sally, however, was looking straight at them, her own face blank and unreadable. Wu Fei took that as a bad sign. “Boys,” Une said, turning her face to look at them. “We have much to discuss about your situation and weather you plan to stay with Preventers or not.”

Wu Fei controlled his flinch at her artic tone and simply nodded his head in understanding. It was understandable that she would question their ability to continue doing missions. There were times when sunlight was a key factor in success.

Wu Fei was looking at an abrupt end to his reason for living. After the war, he had nothing. No family, no home and no reason to continue on living. He had silently stepped back, hoping to be forgotten so he could join his clan and no one would mourn for him. Une and Sally had refused to forget him, and he had found his place among the Preventers.

A small touch to the small of his back, bringing him out of the depression the memories were putting him in. Realization dawned on Wu Fei. He had a new purpose for living. He had Heero, and if what the Wing pilot and Dr. Raugust said was true, then Duo would soon be joining them as well.

These thoughts were carefully kept from Wu Fei's face, keeping the mask smooth and emotionless.

Heero decided that he was going to take over at that moment. “Chang and I have just finished our bonding as Vampires. Although it is complete, we still have to find the one who made us and encourage him to come back with us. We shall keep you updated in our search and position. Acceptable?” Heero's voice was blank and straight to the point.

Une seemed to think for a moment, turning her eyes from the two men and looking at Sally. The Preventer Doctor gave Une her thoughts just by a look. Sally's eyes had been narrowed and her mouth in a small frown. She wanted them close so that she could keep an eye on them and their `changes.'

Une's lips twitched ever so slightly before she looked back over to the two exGundam Pilots. “Acceptable.” She stated out loud, nodding her head. “I expect frequent updates boys. Treat this as a delicate mission, ignore any distraction and keep focused on the goal.” This speech was unnecessary considering who she was speaking to, but she said something to every mission she oversaw. To her, Wu Fei doubted this was any different.

Heero reached up and tapped the counter above the table. There was the sound of gears shifting and well oiled metal sliding against each other. A small slot slid out and Heero grabbed something in the hidden passage. Wu Fei had to hold back a snort when he saw the laptop. The indestructible casing was dented and scratched. Wu Fei should have known better then to believe that the Wing Pilot would have gotten rid of the computer that had stayed faithfully by his side.

Wu Fei watched silently as Heero placed the laptop lovingly down on the table before closing the compartment. The booting up process took less then a minute but the security measures took longer. Heero required long passwords and codes to get into the main screen. Finger scanning and different passwords got Heero into his account.

Crossing his arms over his chest, Wu Fei rested against the door frame and waited patiently. He could guess what Heero was doing but he did not want to ruin it for Une and Sally. Heero slid the laptop to face Une. “This is the email I will be contacting you with.” He stated, pointing to the screen. “It is secure and was not used during the war. No one will recognize it.”

Une nodded her ascent and Heero turned his computer to face him again. “I suggest we start on the colonies.” Was Wu Fei's input when he recognized the signs of Heero Yuy's mission planning mode. The tensing of the shoulders and the slight narrowing of the eyes were key indicators. Heero's blue eyes looked up at him in reorganization. “L2.” The Wing Pilot said stiffly. Wu Fei was not informed of Duo's past, but he did know where the braided pilot had come from. He could guess how bad his life had been there.

Nodding his head, Wu Fei's eyes darted to the clock on the wall. It would not be dark for four hours. Turning to face Heero, he forgot about the other three in the room and they continued to plan the route they would take to find their wayward Dominant.

A/N) I apologize for not updating sooner. I have been stressed because of my bus schedule. (I found that puking up blood is a bad thing.)

I have cut my workload almost in half this up coming semester so I should update more quickly from now on. I also want to thank everyone who has kept with me on this, telling me what they think and how I am doing.
