Author Notes: None really, except this is the first major plot line of the fic, the action is heating up faster then a thin sheet of metal on open fire.

Chapter #5: 'Area 51' Part 1/4: The Road Trip

Two days passed, the girls, all five of them lied to the parents saying their trip to New Mexico was a school trip so they could have a week off. Heero amazingly enough managed to hack into the Area 51 computers and confirmed that they indeed have '10 UFOs' down in there.

So now they were on a large cargo plane, heading down to New Mexico, their van was in the cargo hold, stacked for a long trip with extra fuel and all necessities for camping. Heero was reviewing information he got about the Area 51 surveillance systems, to him they seemed primitive, but considering what they had to work with, it would be a challenge. The girls spilled the beans about their machines, telling their design specs, the boys found that machines were amazingly designed to be armature designs.

The girls were checking their gear, ropes, harnesses, and all sorts of equipment, the van would be their H.Q, and it was equipped with primitive radar evader Heero put together from spare parts. They also layered the engine with foil and some cooler pack, so it's heat signature wouldn't be that evident as to spike up, New Mexico was a hot place, engines literarily burned down there. Jessica's cousin who was seventeen and worked as a grease monkey down at a local Chi-town garage upgraded their car to be a four by four, how he did it, was beyond them, vans didn't come in four by four all-terrain drive.

The plane began descent and the guys hid their gear, after all, they were supposed to be teens on vacation, not super spies on a mission. The only weapons they had were the ones that the guys had on them, that arsenal consisted of Heero's gun, and a few knives, Sage managed to sneak out her father's gun out for the guys, after all she couldn't shoot, so might as well as let the masters do it.

As the plane was unloaded the men in the airport hooked the car to drag it out of the back, they thought it was a new car that was being shipped to someone, they were surprised when the car sprung to life, it's hind white lights began to flash, the car descended down the ramp and froze. The window rolled down and Jessica peeked out, "Howdy… Sorry for the scare boys, this car is mine," She backed up and a second later the red van tore off finding the exit from the landing strip to the highway in minutes, they didn't bother going trough customs, they were stowaways anyways.

They stopped briefly by a local tuck shop to get some non-perishable food and ground coffee; Heero took over the driving because the gang wanted to take a nap. Heero was effortlessly doing a hundred on the freeway and soon enough they left the limits of the big city behind and entered the desert freeway.

Heero was driving the car with one hand, the other was clutching a chocolate bar, he wanted coffee to perk him up, but drinking behind the wheel was dangerous, chocolate bars contained the same amount of coffee, but they weren't hot and they didn't spill. The Car jolted when suddenly a giant monster truck came from the passenger side, it was so huge it created a gravity field of it's own with the rushing-by air, Heero put the chocolate on the dash bar and gripped the wheel with both hands.

The truck was huge, it easily had nine wheel axles, and maybe more because the truck didn't emerge completely from behind the van and with blinds lowered on the side windows to block out light, Heero couldn't see any other axles from his rear view mirror. The truck was a flatbed; covered with a tarp, under the tarp were something that looked like crates. He shifted lanes away from the truck and resumed eating his chocolate bar in peace.

Three hours later, just as Heero was turning from the main freeway the others began waking up, "Hey Hee-man… are we there yet?" Duo asked. "No," Heero replied curtly. "Where are we anyways?" Jessica peaked from the side window seeing the desert scenery running by, the only car on the freeway was the flatbed monster truck. The tarp came out loose slightly and began to flap, "Hey… what do letter 'TNT' mean?" Duo asked, he could see a few wooden crates in the back, on them in black were the letters 'TNT' in bold and large. "Explosives… why you ask?" Mandy wondered. "That flatbed is loaded with them," Duo replied as if it was nothing. "What?" the girls yelped and lunged to look, indeed the flatbed had at least three large crates on it labeled 'TNT' Jessica grabbed her binoculars and looked closer, what she saw made her pale, "Boys… that's not dynamite… those crates are loaded with C4 and C12" she looked at the guys who's eyebrows flew up. Jessica sat down in the front passenger seat. Suddenly she felt her stone activate, she pulled it out, the stone was pulsating and glowing hot pink, it floated up from her hands slightly, an image of a compass appearing above it, the needle spun for a few seconds but then settled on North-west, "I think it's saying to go there," she said.

Jessica whipped out a map and looked at it, the stone blasted out a small ray of light into the small line on the map that was supposed to be a road, it was showing their position. She looked northwest of the Road, "There is nothing there, no major roads, no buildings… perfect place to hide Area 51." The stone fell limp on it's chain and stopped glowing. Ahead of them the truck suddenly turned, heading northwest, "Heero stop!" Jessica yelped. Heero slammed unto the breaks and the car screeched to a halt, "What?" he asked rather impatiently.

"Heero did you get a look at the driver? Since when does a driver of a monster truck wear a solid black suit? That wasn't just any truck; it is heading to Area 51, and the driver… MIB in the flesh, if we were to follow it, the driver would radio ahead and notify them of the tail, we would be flanked by a few F16 fighters in no time and treated like terrorists," she explained. "Ok I get your point," Heero replied, he moved the van into the desert a bit, off the freeway, "We are going to have to camp for the night here," He said. The sun was already beginning to set, casting orange glow across the sands of the desert.

And hour later they were done setting up for the night, the guys found some dead tree branches and they made a fire, the girls set up some tents, they didn't want to sleep on the ground, all sorts of crawlies were in the desert, rattle-snakes were the least of their troubles.

The gang was sitting around their bonfire, a warm kettle of tea was heating up on it, the girls were roasting marshmallows while the guys used some tin cans to heat ready-made soup over the small burner they had, you just cant warm soup good over the fire. The sun has set and the air was filled with chirps of crickets and an occasional howl of a jackal to the eerie full moon above. The silence of the campsite was also making the atmosphere appear more eerie then it was really.

Soon enough the girls retreated to their two-person tents, and Mandy went to sleep in the back of the van with Katie. Heero threw the rest of the firewood into the flames to keep wild animals away during the night, and the guys too went to sleep in their sleeping bags.

---Meanwhile at Area 51---

A man in army uniform was standing in a large underground hanger watching his men work. He was looking at the ten UFO's they found by Chicago, some teens found them when they ran away and hid in a cave. The machines were awesome, they were huge, nine of them were humanoid, while the tenth looked more like a fighter plane, but it too was different, it didn't have any wheels, it looked like it could lift off vertically, it's huge wings were larger then any jet fighter the general ever saw. And the giant canons by the side of it coned nose stroke terror in his men, and they had no clue what I would fire, but they knew for sure it didn't fire missiles or bullets out of those.

One they named 'Angel' did indeed have huge wings that looked like angel wings, but they were metal, and a strange type of metal at that, samples were analyzed, but the composition wasn't anything they ever saw before, they however knew for sure, normal explosives wouldn't even dent it. "Sir, the C4 is in place," a lieutenant saluted his superior, "good, don't blow these machines just yet, we just may find a pilot that can fire them up, imagine if the USA army had them in their arsenal, we would be able to stop all wars across the world with these ten." The general was in awe, it was sort of sad to have to destroy these ten, but they had orders.

---The Next Night---

The gang pulled to the edge of the strange fence surrounding what seemed to be a plot of empty desert, "We're here… area 51 perimeter, from here we go on foot… and people… we do it with caution, none of your 'We're macho, we bust in there and take our Gundams by force' stunts." Jessica looked at all the guys, Heero nodded; Duo slumped his shoulder but nodded as well. Trowa just kept quiet but everyone knew he agreed, after all, he always went with the flow.

"If we pull this off, we'll make history!" Mandy squealed. "Our own private history…" Jessica added, she was watching the perimeter trough night vision goggles, trying to see if she could pin point anything living in there. "Well… lets bust the big guys out…" she added opening the door of the car.
