Gundam Wing Fan Fiction ❯ Giri? Ninjo. Koibito! ❯ Chapter 3
I could have sat there looking at that delicate creature for hours. Why was I reacting this way? I tried to mentally take a step back so I could analyze the situation. Failing that, I found myself drooling openly like any other hormone-ridden teenager.
A blinking icon on my screen brought my attention back to my laptop. A lot of students used the classroom laptops to send each other notes during class, but I'd never received one. I opened it as if it might explode.
| You're staring.
I looked at the note, uncomprehending, before I typed a quick reply.
| Nani?
| You're staring. Something wrong?
| No. You'd never know.
| Never know how shy you are, the way
| you were staring? ;) J/K.
I realized that Duo was staying in character, and was glad that he was being so careful. Chatting on the school's computers was hardly a secure method of communication. I glanced at my partner again out of the corner of my eye. I wouldn't have a problem playing along. In fact, I might have trouble remembering who the girl sitting next to me really was. I grinned.
| I don't think that I've ever seen you smile.
| You should do it more often.
| Why? I see no need.
| Silly! You'll never get invited to the dance
| if you don't act friendly to people.
| Dance?
| Yeah. Tonight. Good timing, ne?
I wasn't so sure that I agreed. I tried to avoid interacting with others. It was not necessary to the mission. But … the professor had said not to allow our covers to be blown, under any circumstances. Would it be suspicious if we did not attend? Would it single us out? I didn't have any experience with things like this. I came to the conclusion that I should not make the decision myself.
| Should we attend?
| Why, Odin, is that an invitation? ;)
I blushed, and saw Duo smirk before he added:
| J/K. Yes. Everyone will be there.
| Besides, it will be fun.
I stared at the last message dubiously, thinking that I had heard that one before.
