Gundam Wing Fan Fiction ❯ Lost Gundam ❯ running out of Time ( Chapter 2 )

The clock was ticking with every 10 minutes Captain Sarah lost another percentage of oxygen. She typed ridiculously fast, nearly breaking the keyboard. Her mind raced as she surveyed maps of the surrounding systems. Nothing. Not a single star she recognized. She punched the keyboard with all her strength breaking a few keys. Tears fell from her eyes. There was no way any one could find her.

 

The rebel Gundam's moved forward just as the Earth Sphere alliance did. Stern faces in each cockpit but behind them cold fear. Captain Sarah was the first to open fire on the enemy shortly followed by every rebel Gundam. It wasn't long before the battle erupted into full contact as both sides collided. Missiles flew at every moving target. The rebel's saw hope as they destroyed their enemy quickly and swiftly. Sarah had lost all her missiles and had then resorted to full on contact taking hold of the controls firmly she punched and kicked all her enemies to their death. As they exploded it became clear there was something else watching the battle.

 

Tears stained her cheeks. She summoned what strength she had left and typed in commands to the computer. After checking a few controls Sarah sat back down in the main seat and clicked enter. A timer appeared on the screen and a red dot that flashed continuously.

“This is Captain Sarah A. Maxwell of the rebel alliance.” Sarah sighed. Her last words and they probably wouldn't be heard by any one.

 

Many of the rebel's became aware of this giant ship floating not to far away from the battle.

“Captain! There's something out there. On the edge of the battle field and it doesn't look friendly!” Lt. Julie's voice echoed in Sarah's ear. She turned on her screen and tilted it o that it pointed at the coordinates that this supposedly new threat was sitting. She was stunned to see an Earth Sphere Alliance Battle Ship. What the hell is that doing there! She thought. Suddenly the black Battle ship opened its main hull doors to reveal carefully placed missiles one on top of the other. Sarah didn't have time to count how many there were.

“RETREAT!” She screamed down the mouth piece. “RETREAT!” Sarah grabbed hold of her controls and turned the Gundam round so fast that she nearly crashed into a passing Lt.'s Gundam. She pushed her Gundam to the full as she fired up the engines and headed back to the station. Large explosions could be heard from behind her. The missiles had been launched and they were aimed at every rebel Gundam in the area. Sarah barley had time to bark more orders down the mouth piece when she was hit. Everything seemed to move in slow motion. The explosion forced her seat into the main panel. She became aware of a sharp pain in her stomach as she was pushed from her seat. She caught on the edge of the control panel cutting her stomach as she was flung into the screen. Amber and Julie could just be heard screaming her name in her ear piece. She thought she'd gone death as she was flung back into her seat. Another explosion occurred and the cockpit went dark. The world went dark as Sarah's head hit the keyboard.
