He's a WHAT?!?

"Heero Yuy…" Ever tried to search for something and gotten results for something completely different? That's what's happening right now. Well, not exactly: you're getting plenty of results for Heero Yuy, the colonial leader who died twenty-two years ago, but nothing on Heero Yuy, the boy you met a few days ago. What's really annoying you at this point is that you seem to be wasting your time, and you've got a mission in a few hours. And it's a well-known fact around the base that you like to get plenty of sleep before missions. Thanks to Heero Yuy, however, you're probably not going to get that sleep.

As you're scrolling through your results and muttering curses directed towards a certain pacifist colony leader under your breath, you suddenly stop and blink, remembering what he said to you before. "It's not my real name either, but it's what people call me." You groan. "Gah… why'd I think to do this in the first place? This whole thing's been hopeless all along! Hopeless, hopeless, hopeless… huh?"

As it turns out, banging your head against the keyboard actually serves a purpose, other than giving you a major headache. All your previous search results had been erased (not that you minded much, with about 600,000 more to go through), and now there was only one entry left. It was for a school… some school or another. You clicked on it, and the records came up: Heero Yuy. Aged fifteen at time of enrollment. Brown hair, blue eyes. Left two months after enrolling… ooh, here's something interesting. Was enrolled along with Duo Maxwell, and left at the same time as him too. Curious, you click on the link to Duo's records as well, and blink as you come up with something interesting: a photo. What surprises you is that you actually recognize the person in the photo: his face was plastered all over Wanted posters on both the colonies and Earth during the last war. Gundam pilot 02, Duo Maxwell, pilot of the Gundam Deathscythe… you never would've guessed by the grin on his face. But if Heero was with Duo at that point, during the war, then it would be too much of a coincidence if they just entered and left the school at the same time. So that meant that he was most probably also a Gundam pilot…

You grin slightly, stretching and glancing at the time that's displayed on the computer clock. 5:30 PM. Great, you still have enough time to decide what to do with this information before your mission. That decided, you wander off to find Doctor Y and inform him of your little discovery.

A few minutes later, you wander back into the control room, grumbling under your breath about superiors who just choose to leave all the hard decisions to you. Flopping back down on the computer chair, you blow out a frustrated sigh and leaned back. Since you have enough time before your next mission starts, Y gave you the option of trying to meet this Heero Yuy before you went on your mission. Of course, just like any good instructor would, he'd warned you that all Gundam pilots are highly dangerous, can't be trusted, and very likely to kill you as soon as you tell them that you're the one that summoned them. And then, typically, he told you he'd recommend that you meet him ASAP. What is up with these old men and contradicting themselves?

Sitting up, you stare blankly at the computer screen, trying to decide whether to play a few games of Solitaire to help you calm down. You run your fingers through your hair, trying to will away the headache that's starting to form, and freeze when they hit something solid. Slowly withdrawing the object from your hair, you stare at it.

It's in the form of a small box, more like a square almost, and was apparently stuck to your hair by a few tiny clips on one side. It's about a quarter inch on each side and looks innocent enough, but you recognize what it is right away, and you groan. Heero Yuy had the audacity to stick a freakin' tracker in your hair! And what's even worse, you didn't even notice! Come to think of it… he probably stuck it in your hair when he'd pulled you close to him… you blush slightly, remembering that. It had surprised you at first, but now that you think about it, it wasn't so bad… GAH! What has gotten into you?!? You remind yourself that you're a soldier, and you have no need of such feelings… but you can't shake the image out of your mind, and it's starting to bother you.

Forcefully throwing yourself back to the present and the situation before you, you quickly throw the tracer to the ground and are about to stomp on it as hard as you can when you pause, reconsidering. Actually, it might come in handy later… or actually, maybe sooner than later. A plan begins to form itself in your mind, and you grin evilly, thinking of the perfect way to get back at Heero for the tracker and the annoying thoughts that keep worming their way back into your head. But then again, you do have a mission in about five hours, and you may not get back in time… and Doctor Y's fury isn't something to joke about. Well then, what next?

Hmm… you think five hours should be enough time if Heero's still in the area, right? Well then, this should be easy! Mission Meet Heero Yuy is now officially under way! - go to page twenty-nine

Better not risk it. The mission comes first - your revenge on OZ is what matters most, not some meeting with a guy who may or may not be a Gundam pilot. You need some time to think about what you're going to do first. After all, the mission can't wait, but meeting Heero can, right? - go to page thirty
