He had been all over the zoo but still couldn't find her. All he could see were screaming kids and happy families. Where the hell was she?

He entered the `Primate Jungle' area of the zoo. He had already checked here once, but he would look until he found her.

Heero's eyes wandered over the building in search of her, from the Gorillas to the Spider Monkeys but no sign of her.

It wasn't until then he noticed a security guard coming at him. He had already dealt with 2 of them, one of which was to scared to help his comrade so he didn't have a need to knock him out. He didn't plan to waist any time dealing with this one.

"Hello there little boy." He said with a cocky attitude. "I hear you been given` my buddies some trouble at the front gate. Care to explain."

"No, not really. Would you care to tell me where I could find Relena?"

"Now why would the hell would I tell you? Wait a minuet. How do you know she's here anyway?"

"You'll tell me so you don't get hurt, and it's none of your damn business how I know." Heero said with a glare.

The guard was a little affected by the glare but didn't let up.

"And how in the world is someone like you gonna` hurt me?"

"LIKE THIS!" he yelled as he kicked his foot across the guards face knocking him to the floor.

People either gathered around to watch or screamed and ran out the door.

The guard wasn't down for long and was on his feet ready to fight, blood flowing from his nose. He started forward to grab Heero's arm and restrain him but he wasn't quick enough. Heero had gotten behind him and put an arm around him neck squeezing just enough to bring the big guy to his knees.

"Where is she?" Heero asked in the guard's ear his voice a deadly growl.

"I…I…don't…know." He said trying to take a breath.

"I'll ask again. Where is she?" Heero said even deadlier tightening his arm around the guard's neck.

"She's…was…near…t-…the…fla-… ;mingos…last time…I saw…her."

He let go of the guard's neck, who took in a breath like it was the breath of life. He regained his composure and miraculously his courage and lunged at Heero.

Heero, who was headed toward the door, spun around and punched the guard square in the jaw and rendered him unconscious.

Heero exited out the door without ever breaking a sweat.

"I'm hungry." Andrew said.

"Well what do you want to eat?" Quatre asked.

"Er…could I have a… hotdog?" he asked the four teenage boys hopefully.

"I don't see why not." Said Duo picking up the boy a placing him on his shoulders, "And after that we can go inside the reptile house."

They went to the nearest food stand and got 4 chili cheese hotdogs. Quatre got a pretzel.

When they finished they went to the reptile house just like Duo said. There was a large display of different snakes, turtles, alligators, and so on. They ranged from the Inland Taipan, the worlds deadliest snake, to the Nile crocodile. Andrew seemed most interested with the anaconda.

Duo however, who was following Andrew, just liked the look of pure joy in the kid's eyes.

"Did you see the incident in the monkey house?"

"No, what happened?"

Duo looked around to see 2 women gossiping back and forth. His eyes returned to watch Andrew, but his ears listened to the conversation behind him.

"Well, there was this one boy, in a green tank and spandex black shorts, who was just standing there looking around. Then for some unknown reason a Security Guard came up to him. They exchanged a few words, I couldn't hear what they were saying, and all of a sudden the boy attacked the guard and forced him to give him some information of something like that."

"That's horrible. Maybe we should go home. I don't want to be around here with some creep like that on the loose."

`That guy has some major issues' Duo thought and followed Andrew to the next snake.

"Why are you being so nice to me?" Andrew asked.

"Huh. W-what?" Duo asked a bit confused by the question.

"Why are you being so nice? No one has ever treated me like a normal kid. I'm just some lost kid not worth anyone's time and effort."

"Come here." Duo said taking the boy up in his arms. He went outside and sat down in the bench.

"I want you to understand that you aren't just some lost kid. You are just as important as anyone else out there." Duo told him pointing out there. "And don't you ever believe other wise."

"But what am I supposed to do? I'm just a kid. I can't do anything."

"That's not true." Said a voice, "You can do anything you set your mind to. Haven't you ever heard that `great things come in little packages'?" it was Quatre.

"But that still don't matter. No ones gonna listen to me. No one listens to anyone on the streets."

Duo couldn't help but think this kid is just like him.

"True, but you don't live on the streets." He said, "You live with me."

Andrew's just stared at Duo. Then, as if to repay the hug form earlier, he threw his arms around Duo and hugged him tight.

`Duo is going to spoil that kid.' Quatre thought.

`Man this kid can hug! I can hardly breath.' Duo thought.

When Heero finally got to the flamingos Relena wasn't there but further down the trail looking at panthers.

But the scene bothered him. He didn't like it at all. It wasn't the panthers in the cage that bothered him. In was the panther staring at Relena that he didn't like.

He was a tall, thin, man dressed all in black, gloves included. His hair was a dark brown hair and brown eyes. His eyes were fixed on Relena with a deadly intent in them. Heero could see a slight bulge in his shirt meaning he had a gun. With security in this place he was obviously trained at this sort of thing. It's like they were a challenge for Heero but then again few people were. But until he gave him a just cause he couldn't do anything.

He approached Relena but still kept an eye on the strange man.

"Relena, what the hell do you think your doing coming in the zoo alone?"

She jumped but when she noticed it was Heero she smiled. "Oh Heero!" she yelled in pure delight and hugged him. Heero's eyes still kept a steady eye on the man panther.

"I came in alone because it doesn't feel comfortable with them around. I mean, I know it's only for my protection but, I just needed a day away from them."

"You could of at least let one them come with you."

He noticed that there were fewer people around. The fewer the people the more likely that creep would pull his gun.

The creep took the opportunity.

Heero shoved Relena to the side and ran for the creep who had already fired the gun. Heero took the bullet in the arm but didn't slow down.

He punched the man in him gut hard with his good arm. While he was on the ground in pain Heero took the opportunity knock the gun out of his hand to kick him in the face.

The man got back up quickly and punched Heero in the face. Heero ignored the pain but repaid him for the punch.

He kicked him in the ribs and punched him square in the jaw. Hearing a satisfying crack he knew the man's jaw was broke. The man was one the ground trying to get up again but fell each time he tried. Heero grabbed the man by his hair, pulled him up, and growled in his ear, "Next time you do anything to try and harm or kill Ms. Relena I will personally kill you. You're lucky I didn't this time."

With that Heero threw the man back on the ground and watched as he fell unconscious.

Relena watched the whole thing with a look of horror. She couldn't believe what just happened. The one day she didn't have any guards. She ran to Heero and started to cry. Heero held her in a gentle embrace. He then pushed her out a little, titled her head up with a finger and kissed her gently on the lips.

"I love you Relena." He whispered.

Okay, how do ya'll like my story? Is it good? I probably won't update for a while because I'll be grounded from the computer, bad Report Card (I get grounded for C's).

But I might be able to check e-mail on my friends computer every once and a while so please e-mail me if there is an animal you would like to see in the zoo or any other comments you might have. okay
