~Part 5~
"Strangers at Midnight"
Wufei lay back on the pillows of his bed. He felt uneasy, his heartbeat was accelerating. No, this wasn't because of the usual reasons, he hadn't been doing anything physically strenuous, nor running through a kata in the practice hall. No, allthough it was the middle of the night, his preffered time for doing such things, Wufei was bothered by something else.
Julie Yu....she was the woman in his dreams...she was the woman that was pleading him for something...he wasn't sure what but she was asking for something from him...
Wufei rolled over onto his side, his hand gripping the bedsheets in frustration. Why did Julie want to kill him? God, she was a good martial aritst....she had a very fast body...not that it wasn't an extremely *shapley* body under that tight dress she always wore...
Wufei forced that thought from his mind as he stretched out on his bed. He had to distract his mind...but the same image kept appearing...an image he thought he had burried....
It was the look on Julie's face when he told her all those years ago that he was leaving...that he was giving up on her...on himself.
There had been rage, yes, but there was more to it than that. There was a look of pure passionate dissapointment in her eyes, that said quite plainly to him "You're better than that. I used to know you."
No matter how many times Wufei tried to shut Julie out of his mind, and his heart, he disscovered he could not. Julie had been so loyal to him when they had been friends, and now she was loyal to her promise to hate him....
Wufei rolled over and tried to comfort his mind to sleep.

Relina opened the window of her room for some fresh air. It was a slightly windy night, and although it was cold, Relina liked the cold. Looking out into the frosty but dull night, Relina felt the cold air rush at her skin in a sudden blast of wind. She smiled to herself. This was the kind of night where she dreamed best, where the dreams of Hiro just spurred out of her mind....
Relina spun aorund joyfully, pretending to dance with an ivisible Hiro as she dreamed about him.....he was gorgeous, perfect in every way, and he would become her's, yes, her's!
THRACK!
A loud noise outside distracted the Princess from her fantasy world, Relina raised her head, and peeked outside. There was a sillohette outside, of someone...she couldn't make out who....the figure slumped down onto the pavement outside, and Relina faintly made out the sight of blood. Starteled, two of Relina's fundemental instincts sprung into action.
It could be an assasin. He might want to kill her.....but then again...
It could be a friend....an innocent even, who had just been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Relina rushed downstairs and through the dark room to open the door. The sight that met her eyes was not what one could call pleasent.
There was a young man on her doorstep, crumpeled by his obvious injuries. His shoulder had blood seeping out of it and staininghis allready wet white shirt. Hiw body seemed to be powerfully built though, or at least, it normally would have been....something about that soaked brown hair reminded her of...
"Hiro?"
Relina bent to examine the body, no he wasn't Hiro. He did look a lot like him though, my god, that face was almost the same...except this boy's eyes were differently shaped....still, when he opened them and spoke in a choked low voice, his gaze carried the same intensity as Hiro's monotone speech and eyes did.
"Am I....safe?" he asked softly, as Relina held him up. She nodded. "Yes...who are you?"
The boy shook his head and clamped a hand over his face. "You...must not....see my face....."
The hand slumped back onto the cement to support himself. Relina blinked. Was this boy a soldier? Must be, he seemed so much like Hiro....
"Who are you?" Relina repeated, as she helped the boy inside her house. Goodness he was weak...
The boy looked away from her, determined to hide his face even if it was not fully possible.
"I'm Relina Peacecraft..." Relina offered, comfortingly. Maybe if she offered him what she expected she would get the same in return.
The boy faced her, and his blue eyes penetrated into her the same unreadable way Hiro's always did.
"R-Relina?" the boy asked in a choked voice. Relina nodded. The boy slumped over again.
"I...am not an enemy....." he whispered, as he slipped into unconsiousness. Relina scrambeled to get a doctor on the phone.
Had she been paying more attention, she might have noticed the gun carefully concealed underneath the boy's wet shirt.
