Heero walked down the street after buying some clothing he needed. He stopped when he saw Wufei talking with someone down the street. The person was wearing torn breeches and a billowy shirt. There also was a black bandana around his head. Heero knew the type, it was a pirate. Wufei turned slightly and his eyes widened when he saw Heero. He turned quickly to the other man and gestured for him to leave.

The other man left quickly. Heero continued to walk toward the carriage he had ridden in with Wufei. Wufei met him there and helped him into the carriage.

"I don't need your help."

"But it would be dishonorable of me as your future husband not to help you into your carriage."

Heero sighed once again. He liked that Wufei wanted to help him but he felt that he was being treated like a girl. That irritated him and it further irritated him when he thought that he wouldn't have minded if a certain violet eyed, longhaired pirate captain helped him in.

He sighed and sat back in the carriage and watched as Wufei got in as well and whipped the horses to get them to move. Once they were moving he asked, "Who was that man you were talking to?"

Wufei stiffened for a minute before smiling at Heero, "Nothing to worry about. It was some low life pirate who I was telling not to come around here again."

Heero frowned at Wufei. He knew that was an outright lie but he didn't bring it up. He didn't want to call his future husband a liar. He kept quiet for the rest of the ride. Wufei did as well thinking that he had successfully duped his love.

******Couple of Days later*********

Heero walked down the street towards his favorite trail he liked to hike. He gasped in surprise when he heard a familiar boisterous laugh. He spun and saw Duo walking down the street towards him. He turned back hurriedly and walked quickly onto his trail. He hoped that Duo hadn't seen him.

Duo walked down the street laughing with Quatre and his new conquest Trowa. They had just gotten back from their mission and where now looking to relax before telling Treize about how the mission went. Quatre was smiling brightly at Trowa who smiled slightly in return. Quatre had found Trowa at a local bar and it looked like they got along fairly well. Duo looked around and spotted messy brown hair and smiled. He turned to both Quatre and Trowa and said, "Well looks like I have to go. I see my future mate."

With that Duo rushed off leaving Quatre chuckling and a confused Trowa. Duo ran to where he last saw Heero and found the trail. He started jogging along it and found Heero in no time.

"Heero!"

Heero's eyes widened and he swore softly. He started to run away from Duo but tripped on a root. He fell hard and his breathed wheezed out of him. Duo saw him fall and ran quickly to him.

"Heero, are you alright?"

Heero glared up at him but he couldn't be angry with him. It was those eyes and that handsome face. When Heero didn't answer Duo became slightly frantic.

"Heero, are you alright? Answer me."

Heero finally managed to get himself under control and coldly stated, "I'm fine. Now leave me be."

Heero moved to stand and pushed Duo's helping hands away. He wanted to do this on his own. Duo moved back to let Heero have some room to stand. Heero stood on his own and smiled slightly. At least Duo didn't treat him like a baby. Then he remembered he wasn't supposed to like Duo and took a step forward to walk away when he fell again.

But instead of hitting the ground Duo was there to catch him. His ankle throbbed painfully and he hissed in pain. Duo picked him up smoothly and walked down the path further from the town. He found a small clearing and set Heero down.

"Now, where does it hurt?"

"My ankle."

"Alright." Duo lifted Heero's ankle in his hands and started to feel around it. Heero hissed in pain sometimes but it didn't hurt that much anymore. Heero was enjoying the feeling of Duo's hands on his ankle and he had also enjoyed the being carried in his strong arms.

Duo looked the ankle over and let his hands massage it. He didn't want to let go of Heero's ankle. His skin was nice and smooth and Heero, to his surprise, was incredibly light. He reluctantly let go of Heero's ankle and sat beside him.

"It appears to be just sprained."

"Well that's good."

Duo stayed silent for a few minutes and thought of the many questions to ask the boy. He finally decided, "Would you do me the honor of walking around town tomorrow?"

Heero wanted to say yes but remembered he wasn't supposed to like the pirate and there was another small trivial matter, "I can't. I have to prepare for my wedding."

Duo sat shocked, "Wedding? When?"

"The day after tomorrow."

"To that Wufei guy?"

"Yes."

"I can not believe this. How can you marry him?"

"I love him." Heero winced at how uninterested he sounded. He didn't sound like someone who was in love with the man they were going to marry.

Duo heard the uninterested tone and smiled. He knew the boy couldn't possibly love that uptight boy. He drew closer to the boy, "No you don't. You don't sound like you love him."

Heero squirmed. Duo was too close to him, "Yes I do."

"I don't believe you. Why don't you let me show you what love is?"

Heero gasped at the close proximity. He could smell Duo and it was heavenly. He pulled back to clear his head and knew if Duo got any closer he wouldn't be able to say no. His hands searched behind him, looking for something to hit Duo with. His body responded to Duo's closeness and he could feel a tightening in his groin. He never felt this way around Wufei but he didn't have time to think about that now.

His right hand finally encountered a rock and he brought it forward. Duo was looking at him intensely and didn't see what Heero had in his hand. One minute he was looking into deep blue eyes and the next was black.

Heero threw the rock he had found away and looked down at Duo. He feared he might have killed the man when he hit him in the head with a rock. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Duo was still breathing. He pushed Duo off of him and he shakily got to his feet. He took one last look at Duo then limped his way back to town.

Duo awoke later, and it was realized it was late afternoon. He looked around for Heero but didn't see him. He stood up and made his way back to town.
