Quatre's POV

I was running in the grass between my house and Heero's/ Duo's dorm. Slowing down to cross and walk up the sidewalk to their door. As I was about to walk onto the walkway, Duo flew past. Chasing him, I fell behind, then watching Duo as he ran into Wufei. I mean literally, ran into him and then bounced off. He hit the ground, butt first and then fell back and hit his head. Wufei kneeled next to Duo's head, lifting it, he checked if Duo was bleeding. He moaned as I moved closer.

"I wasn't good enough." Duo said, then he passed out. Wufei and I glanced at each other, and silently agreed. He lifted Duo into his arms, taking him back to his room. I turned and went back to Heero. I wasn't his best friend, but I saw how he had opened up to Duo, over the last couple of months. I could feel the love emanating from the room, when it was just the three of us. The way Heero watched Duo, when he thought nobody was watching him, told it all. I wanted ask Heero what Duo meant.

Heero's POV

I lifted my head looking at the door.

"Don't go." I said as I took a deep breath then the song started in my head. The one Duo flung out at his exit and it was Duo's voice, in my head.

Closing my eyes I felt a tentative knock at the door. Opening it wide, quickly, expecting Duo. Duo never backed down. Looking for his lover he was shocked to see Quatre.

"The meetings canceled." I said as I was about to close the door on Quatre. Quatre spoke up.

"Duo is with Wufei, he was knocked out."

"Oh god, I have to go to him." I said as I tried to walk out.

"Duo said something strange before he passed out. Can you explain it, before we go over there?" Quatre said as I turned to get my first aid kit. Looking back around I saw grief in Quatre face. Turning for the door I walked out into the hall, waited for Quatre to follow. Locking our door and taking the stairs down gave me some time to think of what to say to Quatre.

"I don't know what to say, Quatre, I came in here and found him packing. We had words and he stormed out of here. I don't even know what the fight was about. He said I lied to him and how could I do that to him. I haven't done anything." I explained as tears came into my eyes. I moved faster so Quatre couldn't see the tears in welling. Then Duo's voice mocked me, it whispered.

"Lets go see how Duo is." Quatre said before I could turn around and go back. He seemed to sense my indecision.

"If he doesn't stop, we are going to have to restrain him." Wufei said as we walked in and saw Duo moaning and thrashing. We couldn't go to the hospital because fingerprints would identify us. I walked over to the bed, placing the aid kit on the bedside table. I sat on the edge and slowly felt for the growing lump. Duo moaned, 'Heero?'

"Yes, Duo, it's me." I whispered after leaning closer. I opened his eyes to check his pupils. They seemed to be fine. Duo started thrashing around again.

"Don't leave me Heero, please. I need you." Duo moaned.

"I'm here, Hellcat, I won't leave." As I said this, he rubbed his face in my hand. He calmed down after that.

"I think, he will be ok in a day or so. If he gut's some sleep, I think he'll survive. I'm splitting." I said, as I turned to get up and go back to our room. Duo's arms snaked out and grabbed me around the waist, I stared at the floor in shock and fear. What was I going to do? Then my best friend, before Duo and I got together, saved me.

"I think you should stay here tonight. He is calmer since you got here and I don't want to gag him or restrain him. I'll go stay at your place, tonight. Do you need your laptop or anything?" I responded with a shake of my head as the two other pilots left. After the lock clicked I decided that the only way Duo would stay clam was to get into the bed with him.

I moved Duo's arms as I removed his uniform shirt. Laying him on his back I removed his shoes, socks, and pants. I quickly stripped down to my shorts and crawled into bed with him. I laid on my back like I normally did and Duo moved into his normal spot. He moved his head under my chin and laid his ear over my chest. Sliding his hand over my nipple I felt myself go hard. Coming back from the bathroom, I walked in finding Wufei holding Duo down.

"What happened?" I asked sitting on the edge of the bed by Duo's hips. I laid my hand on his chest to hold him down and he moaned, 'I love you, Heero," and slid his hand over mine on his chest. He settled down in his sleep again and Wufei moved away towards the window. I closed my eyes. I had never heard that from him when he was awake and not in the heat of passion. Thank God, Wufei was so much like myself. If he was uncomfortable with what someone said, he ignored that and went on like it was never said.

"I'll check in at lunch, do you need anything before then?" Wufei said as he pulled his hair back and put the holder in it.

"No, but could you fish out my keys and bring me some clean clothes? I would appreciate some food, too, if you can get me some?" I said trying to show my friend how much I appreciated him, with my eyes, for all that we had dumped onto him.

"Fine, I'll be back at lunch. With some clothes and lunch. There is some juice and stuff in the mini-fridge. I'll see you later, if anything changes page us. See if you can get some liquids in him today I don't want him getting dehydrated" I just sat there, as he closed and locked the door, Duo had curled around my butt and was rubbing his cheek in my lap like the cat he was, I felt him pressed against my butt. He had started moving while Wufei and I were talking and started with the head thing right before Wufei left the room. I grabbed an apple off the top of the fridge. Biting into it, I looked down at the unconscious cat nuzzling my hard-on. It brought back bittersweet memories, all my love and grief over him. I really hope we could work things out. I finished my apple and grabbed a bottle of water to was it down, ignoring what Duo was doing to my body. After finishing most of the bottle I remembered what Wufei said.

"Duo I want you to drink some of this." I lifted my head off my lap and held the bottle to his lips. Eyes closed, he parted his lips. Remembering the last time I saw this look on his face, I had a hard time concentrating on my task. He swallowed the small amounts of water I placed in his mouth. He finished the water and I laid his head back onto the bed.

I placed the bottle on the table and crawled back under the covers. Duo curled up next to me and his hand started to wander. I was not quick enough to grab his hand and he had his hand clasped around me. His lips started nuzzling my chest, when he found my nipple, my back bowed off the bed and I gasped. "DUO? Are you awake? Come on Duo, you better not be awake?" I said as I shook his exposed shoulder with my right hand. "Duo is some sort of game? Have you been awake all this morning?" He moaned at my shaking and rolled over. Sighing, I grabbed some tissues and tried to clean-up most of the mess. I curled up against Duo's back and fell asleep, escaping his accusations.

"Any changes? Did he wake up, yet?" Wufei asked me as he walked in. I looked up. He took one look at me and stopped.

"What happened?" I shook my head and looked down at the floor. He walked over to the ringing phone, I hadn't even heard it when I was looking at Wufei's dress shoes.

"Yes? Yeah. Quatre, I think you should come over, I think something is wrong with Heero. Ok, I'll be here." The last part was whispered, I didn't care. I sat there until there was a knock at the door. I had glimpsed Wufei's shoes a few times. He opened the door and stood talking to Quatre at the door, then it closed. One pair of smaller shoes stepped into my sight.

"Heero, talk to me, Heero. What happened today? Why do I feel that you are hurting more than yesterday?" Quatre said, as I looked up at him.

"I'm leaving, Quatre. I can't be here any longer."

"Why, what happened today." Quatre asked again, as he sat on the bed with me. I jumped up and walked to the window. Looking out, I saw kids running to class. Closing my eyes.

"I can't stop myself from loving him. I have no strength to fight against Duo, even unconscious, he has that over me." I said to Quatre. Startled, I felt arms come about my waist in a hug, his head buried between my shoulder blade. I sighed, and surprising myself, I hugged the arms back. Being with Duo had changed me, I needed to be touched and comforted, when shit went down. Just then, Duo started moaning my name, again. Quatre let me go and I went to the bed.

"I'm here Duo."

"Why, why did you do this? It hurts so bad. Don't leave me. Don't hurt me this way. I love you." Duo said over and over, until I touched his arm. He quieted down at my touch.

Duo screamed as he grabbed my wrist. I closed my eyes in pain, tears seeping out. Quatre touched my arm. I cried silently until Duo let my arm go.

"Why don't you go back to my house. I'll stay near Duo, and we can talk when Wufei gets back. I'll contact you if anything changes. I nodded as I gathered my things and walked out. I went back to our room to clean up and check if anything had happened. Numb. A blessed release from the pain.
