Small shoulders shook as Quatre jumped, hearing the front doors burst open. “Uh…oh,” the petite blonde whispered as his light eyes turned to look out the window, noticing dark clouds beginning roll and the winds picking up, causing tree branches to scratch against the window unnervingly.
Sensing something was wrong, and sniffing the air lightly, the Arabian fledgling scurried out of the large kitchen in fear. Peering around a corner he noticed the rigid back of his lover's brother. The ancient's braid hung from the back of his head, unmoving, although the wind blew at him furiously. His face took on a look of surprise and fear as an enraged Duo Maxwell turned to lay cold eyes on him, his long teeth protruding from his lips, his large eyes glowing brightly, and a scowl on his face that promised death.
Gulping quietly, the blonde slowly backed away suddenly praying for his lover to come. He nearly yelped as he bumped into a solid body, and turned sighing in relief as he looked up into serious green eyes. “Trowa…” he whispered, “What?”
His question was cut short as a curt voice sliced through the air like a knife, “Grab whatever you need and lets go. We leave NOW!”
With wide aquamarine eyes, Quatre allowed himself to be pulled against his taller lover's chest, in a protective hold, “I'll inform Relena and Dorothy,” was all the green-eyed ancient said and grabbed the pale hand in his hold, pulling the small fledgling behind him hurriedly.
Fisted hands shook in suppressed rage, and the braided ancient turned his glowing eyes to focus on the worried Chinese standing outside the wooden threshold. “You need to calm down.” The seemingly calm Asian stated, a concerned frown tugging at his lips.
He didn't flinch, or even move when the other suddenly appeared in his face, violet eyes stormy and glowing, “How do you propose I stay calm? You know damn well what they are going to do to him.” Sharp pointed teeth gleamed, as the angry vampire yelled, but the Chinese remained calm, pulling the other into a fierce and demanding kiss.
Glowing eyes grew wide, then gradually slid shut, and Duo slowly brought his arms around the others back, grateful for the momentary distraction. The two ancient's tongues warred and they caressed each other passionately, but without emotion. When the two pulled away, violet eyes remained shut and the proud head was bowed, before gentle fingers raised the chin, and the once glowing eyes slipped open to reveal sparkling amethyst.
His jagged teeth still visible, the brunette smirked ruefully, “Thanks, Fei.” Dark eyes closed momentarily and the other nodded in reply.
Both vampires looked up and released each other simultaneously as they heard a gentle clearing of the throat from behind them, “They know to come when they are called.” The tallest ancient stated, his hand still clinging to the small one of his lover.
The braided ancient nodded turning to face the other fully, “You've made your decision?” he asked, his voice void of emotion. The banged brunette merely nodded, tightening his grip on the others hand, gently.
Large teal eyes blinked, and blonde bangs shook as the pale face looked up into forest green eyes, “I'm going with you?” he asked in a slightly shocked, but pleased tone.
The ancient merely nodded to his fledgling and placed a chaste kiss on waiting lips, “I'll always protect you little one,” he whispered causing the Arabian to smile happily.
“Alright,” the brunette stated, feeling a pang of jealousy in his chest at the display, and turned, walking past the Chinese and across the gravel path.
His steps were hastened, and he could hear the others behind him as he turned to look upon the silent, crying statuette. His eyes flashed once as he spoke to the stone figure, “Protect him.” Was all he said, and he suddenly ripped through the sky and wind, the others behind him. The crying figure's eyes seemed to shadow as more crimson flowed from her heartbroken eyes watching after her son as he disappeared.
Icy blue eyes flickered back and forth across the flashing screen, “Give me a status report on the boy.” The cold voice shot through the dark room like a bullet and the fanged workers stumbled to gather the requested information. A beefy man, with fiery red hair stepped forward, his lime eyes reflecting the images on the screen.
“His vitals are normal. His heart rate and brainwaves are beginning to pick up. More activity is being noted, and his eyelids and fingers have been twitching. He should be awake within the hour.”
Finishing his report, the larger man stepped away from the slender officer, who waved him off disinterestedly. “Very good. I want to be notified the second his eyes open. Clear?”
The entire room nodded and a cacophony of affirmative answers were spoken collectively. With a slight nod the longhaired blonde turned on his heel and briskly stepped out of the room into a dark corridor where he sped through a series of walls to appear in a soft candlelit room, “My Lord,” he said softly, his head bowed.
Behind the large mahogany desk sat an obviously well built male with a full glass of what appeared to be red wine in his hand. The man was hidden in shadows, however as he spoke, “Tell me, Zechs. When is he going to wake up?” the British accent rolled of the shadowed man's tongue.
Taking a step forward, the slender blonde took note of where the wine had come from in the form of a sagging body cramped in the corner of the room, “They say he should be awake within the hour, my Lord.”
Hearing this, thin lips curled in a vicious smile, revealing sharp jutting fangs, “Excellent.” Was all the other said and raised his glass towards the longhaired vampire standing before him, “You will inform me.”
The pale blonde head bowed, “Of course, My Lord.” With that the slender vampire disappeared within a dark wall.
Enfolded in the shadows the sharp fangs still glittered with traces of blood, “Very soon, Shinigami. This will all be over and I will have your head.”
Thick lashes fluttered, and a quiet groan echoed throughout the marble room, as drowsy lids lifted to reveal cloudy blue eyes. A gasp loudly joined the groan in echoing off the room's white walls and the small figure that lay on the bed sat up quickly, regretting it with a wince as his hand went into his bangs immediately.
Blinking largely, coffee brown bangs tossed wildly as the small head turned from side to side trying to gather a sense of direction. The small figure frowned, `where am I?' he thought as he looked down to find himself covered in a white body suit. The suit seemed to glitter back at him and had random areas of hard white metal that seemed to act as an armor.
The slender brunette made a face and attempted to pull himself out of the large bed. Once his covered feet touched the ground, he walked to a far corner of the sparsely decorated room to see himself standing before a long mirror. Frowning in distaste, the shorthaired boy raked his eyes along his own reflection. The clung to his body as if it were his skin, the white material, overlapping in jagged cuts, came up to cover his neck and going over his feet like shoes. (1)
Sighing, the boy walked away from the mirror, turning to look for an exit of some sort, “There's got to be a door,” he whispered to himself and smiled slightly when his eyes landed on an open archway leading into a black hallway.
The brunette hurried to the door and by the time he reached it he was almost running until he came to the actual archway. Ready to make his way through the doorway he screamed in surprise and pain as a wall of electricity threw him back.
Wincing and leaning forward on his elbows, the brunette cursed and pushed himself up onto his feet. He wearily walked towards the seemingly innocent exit and scrutinized it carefully. Sighing, he turned away only to double over as his head began to feel as if it were cracking in two. Through hazed eyes he screamed as he saw the floor coming closer to his face. Blue eyes widened then squeezed shut tightly as the Japanese realized that he was going through the floor.
“Open your eyes, puppet,” an English accent ordered, and midnight eyes shot open immediately and focused on a tall man standing directly in front of the short Japanese.
Almost as soon as they took in the regal looking gentleman the dark sapphires narrowed, “Who are you? And where the hell am I?”
The honey haired man chuckled throatily, “You're home, Heero.”
Hearing the familiar line, a full lip curled in annoyance, “I've heard that one before.”
Again the taller man chuckled, his face crinkling without mirth, “I'm sure you have, puppet.”
The Japanese took a step back, “It's clear you know my name, so call me-“ His angry sentence was cut off with a gasp as small cornflower eyes appeared inches away from large stormy sapphires.
“You're very bold, my puppet. But that can be changed.” Heero's eyes widened as he noticed the sharp, pointed canines that shone back at him as the other spoke.
Struggling to remain composed and keep his mask of indifference in place, the shorthaired boy breathed out a sentence that betrayed his inner emotions, “You're a vampire…”
The tall man grinned, leering at the brunette, “Oh no. I'm a Vampyr. And you're mine…”
