pairing, I felt that the others could use a bit of
romance to...spice things up so to speak.
~Wild Thang - Part 17~
After making sure Relena was safe, Dorothy set off to
create a few charms to help them out. On the way back
to her own rooms, she heard whisperings of rumors
going around about dishonorable jungle boys and the
enforcers making sure the demon boy will die. Such
whisperings urged Dorothy towards her rooms all the
more quickly.
Within the safely spelled room of hers, she set to
work on charms to keep her friends from harm.
"Spirits of the divine, bless these charms with your
gift of protection. The bearers be one Heero Yuy,
Duo, Trowa Barton, Quatre Raberba Winner, Chang Wufei,
Zechs Merquise, Treize Khushrenada, Relena Peacecraft,
as well as myself. There are people who plot ill
against us. Protect us spirits. For we are at your
mercy." Dorothy chanted. "Let those who sought
possession of thee who were not named be delivered to
justice."
Slipping one of the charms around her neck and tucked
away, Dorothy went to visit the others. She went to
Relena first to check up on her. To her relief,
Relena was unharmed. The village made it a law that
any visitors were not to be harmed unless they pose a
threat. As of right now, Dorothy worried that their
group will soon become a threat to the village with
the villagers' increased hostility.
"Put this on and make sure it's tucked away." Dorothy
said, placing a charm into Relena's hands as she
entered the room.
"What is it?" Relena asked, doing as Dorothy bid.
"It's a protection charm. It will protect you from
any ill the villagers or anyone else have against
you." Dorothy informed her.
"I think the boys will need this more than I." Relena
protested.
"Do not worry so, I made some for them." Dorothy
replied. "Now if you will excuse me, I must visit the
others before they leave."
"Hai. Go to them and make sure no harm comes to
them." Relena pleaded.
Dorothy took a quick peek at Duo, Zechs and Heero's
rooms since they were close to Relena's. She found,
to her disappointment, that they weren't there. She
sought out Treize and Quatre. She found them walking
around the village with packs on their backs.
"Take this." Dorothy urged. "Put it on and keep it
out of sight."
Used to the mysteries of magic, Quatre quickly puts
his on and hid it beneath his clothing. Treize,
trusting Quatre's judgment, followed his example.
"What were they?" Treize asked in a hushed tone.
"So you've noticed?" Dorothy asked.
"Hai. Hai. Now what was it?" Treize asked, talking
about the charm.
"Protection." Dorothy replied. "I must be off. Do
you know where the rest of you lot went?"
"For Trowa-kun and Wufei-kun, try places for
provisions. We last saw them there looking for
suitable food and such." Treize replied.
"We don't know where Heero-kun, Duo-kun and Zechs-san
went though." Quatre replied.
"Don't worry about it. I'll find them." Dorothy
reassured. "You ready?"
They both nodded. Parting ways, Dorothy sought out
Wufei and Trowa. She found them in the food section
picking up dried meats and fruits.
"Duo can help us look for food." Trowa protested.
"Hush and let me pick these out." Wufei snapped.
Trowa rolled his eyes, "If you weren't so great in
bed, I wouldn't be letting you get such luxury."
"Bah!" Wufei snorted.
Dropping off the charms, Dorothy instructed them, "Put
these on and keep them out of sight. For protection."
They did as she bid and continued bickering about the
pros and cons of living off the jungle. Dorothy
sought high and low, trying to look for the missing
trio. Finally she found them at the fountain with
Heero as lookout while Zechs showed much of the
scenery to Duo.
Dorothy approached them and gave them their charms.
She told them the same thing she told the others. Duo
looked perplexed.
"How can I hide this? I am not wearing what they are
wearing. I can't hid this!" Duo protested.
"Hush!" Dorothy hissed. "This is for your protection.
Have it in a pocket or something. Even a pouch would
do until you get into the jungle. Then put it on.
Until then, keep with one of the others."
"Perhaps we can braid it into your hair." Zechs
suggested.
"Braid?" Duo asked, curious.
Running his fingers through Duo's hair, only to get it
tangled, Zechs smiled at his dear little jungle boy.
"Would you like me to show you? You don't have worry
about it Dorothy-chan, it'll get taken care of." Zechs
replied, winking.
Rolling her eyes, Dorothy replied, "Make sure you do
that."
They parted ways, with Heero making sure Duo and Zechs
reach to safety. Dorothy returned to her own rooms,
her mission accomplished. All the while, watching
eyes noted the previous conversations with great
interest.
