Who I choose is my own business. What I do is my own business. I am an adult, not a child even though I may act like one sometimes.

Chapter 4

(three months later)

During the last few months, I remained in the hellsing house doing paperwork and caring for Joseph when need be, giving Integra a break. I was trained by her to sort out all mail, handing only the important things to her. Including her favorite magazine.

"Good morning Angel"

I looked up from my work and saw Walter entering with my breakfast. He placed the cup on the desk and squeezed a little lemon into the red liquid.

"Thank you. Has everything been taken care of this morning."

"Everything is being taken care of as we speak. Sir Integra said she would be up in an hour to take over so you could go to bed."

"Oh, I'm fine. She didn't have to get up this early."

Silence ran throughout the room for at least two minutes before I became brave enough to ask what I was going to ask. It was now or never for me to ask him to the festival, which only came once every three years. I was so nervous. I looked at him and blushed under his gaze. For someone his age, he really did look handsome.

"Ummm….Walter?"

"Yes ma'am?"

coughs. "Integra told me you like going to the rose festival everytime it comes." I leaned back in the chair. "And I was wondering if….well…maybe…..you would…..ummm…..like to go……ummm….with me?"

"Why, Miss Angel….are you asking me out on a date?"

I cover my face with my hands thinking he was going to say no and was about to speak when he broke in.

"I would be delighted but first I must check….."

I hoped up with excitement and then realizing what I had done, straightened myself up and sat back down. "It's already been worked out. Integra said that would be fine."

"Then I guess we will be going to the rose festival together." He smiled "Now, if you would excuse me." He turned to leave and I watched as he closed the door behind him. After I made sure he was gone and no one else was around, I jumped up and started dancing around like a teenage girl who just won homecoming queen or won a part in a play with her favorite guy. Joseph started to giggle as he watched me from the floor. I picked him up and played airplane with him.

The night came that the rose festival was being held. I waited patiently in the garden for Walter, sitting on one of the benches. As I waited, I sensed Alucard coming. As I turned to greet him, Walter was right behind him. If I had been human, I would have stopped breathing.

Walter's hair was out of it's ponytail and hanging loosely around his shoulders. He wore a black dress suite with a white tie.

"You going to stare all night chica or are you two going?" I ignored Alucard as he spoke.

"Shall we Miss Angel?"

Walter held up his arm for me and I took it. As we were walking off, I turned my head and stuck my tongue out at Alucard.

"That isn't very nice Miss Angel."

I turned my head towards Walter. "He isn't very nice."

Alucard had made a comment to me as we started walking towards the car. I saw him give me a wide smile inside my mind after he spoke, Give him a good ride tonight chica.

Everyone at the hellsing manor knew of the special bond that Walter and me began to share. The words were never spoken nor were there any moves but I guess the way we acted with each other.

I sighed as I stepped into the backseat, Walter sliding into the seat next to me. On our way, we spoke but only a few words. It was exactly midnight when the doors opened to the festival. Walter and me exited the car and went in.

Hours went by as we went to each exhibit and spoke about each flower and their beauty. For awhile, he had disappeared and then he came back with a long white box.

"For Integra and Miss Victoria and you of course."

I smiled at him. "They will love them Walter. Oh look how beautiful this one is. White with red tips and still blooming. Reminds me of Seres."

"How is Miss Victoria doing?"

"Doing well. She hasn't come to my room in awhile now. I think she is coming to terms with everything."

"That is good and what about you?"

I looked over at him."I am who I am. I made the choice even if sometimes I wish I had the chance to redo things but …..then I wouldn't have met you nor the others.

The whole night we spent walking and talking. Mainly about Alucard and how he annoys everyone to the brink of killing themselves just to get away from him and his sick humor.

Walter looked at his watch. "Look at the time. We better get you home before the sun makes an appearance."

"Is it really that late?" I didn't need to hear the answer when I felt my body go sluggish.

The car was waiting for us. I must have fallen asleep because next thing I knew, we were back at the manor. Walter got out of the car first then helped me. My arm was linked to his arm till we arrived to my room.

I stood in front of my door. "I had a nice time. Maybe…we could do this again?"

"I had a nice time to. Yes, we should do this again."

I felt the warmth in my cheeks even if it could not be seen by the human eye. "Well, good-night Walter." I was staring at the floor as I spoke then I felt his fingers touch my chin and lift my head so my eyes met his. We stared at his other for awhile in silence then he came closer to me. His lips pressed onto mine and they remained there for a few minutes. All I remember after that was my name being called.

I awoke the next night with a start. The coffin lid came into contact with my head. After I fell back on my pillow, I pressed the button to lift the coffin lid. I sat up rubbing my head. Swinging my legs over the side, I noticed a vase on the table. I opened my eyes a little more to see that they were from last night. I walked over and smelled the beautiful scent.

"Bloody hell, do you know how to knock?"

"You sound like police girl. Nice show you put on last night. You had me laughing."

"What are you talking about?"

"That little kiss you two shared, you fell asleep during the last moment."

"OH SHIT."

He started one of his laughing fits as I busted out of my room running to look for Walter. I finally found him in Integra's office and as I stood there, Integra gave me a look of -aren't you missing something-. I looked down at myself and squeaked as I noticed I was still in my short, short, T-shirt.

The baby began to laugh.

I don't think I did as good on this as I wanted. I've been working on it for a couple of days and couldn't find the right spot where I wanted to go. Anyway, I have one story on fanfiction.net which a lot of people didn't read the whole thing before putting a review. The main thing they kept saying was it was a Mary-Sue. Which, a lot of story's have characters like that. For me, I think Integra portrayed a Mary-Sue in the anime of Hellsing. Maybe just me. :sighs: oh well. I mainly write to get emotions out. Writing calms me. I don't write to win anyones praise. If you leave a comment, leave a reviewers comment not a gay ass one.

To all the ones who actually have been reading my stories. Thanks. If you want, you can just say hi ;p
