Chapter three: Past never Dies
A few weeks had passed since Kagome and Shippou had come home from Grampa Roshi's Island; all the boys were enjoying their summer so far. Unfortunately for Kagome and Goku; Gohan, Goten, Shippou, and Trunks had started a band. Yes they are good, as Shippou picks things up very easily and the other parents had made them take music lessons.
Goten was on the drums, Gohan was lead guitar and backup singer, Shippou was bass, and Trunks was lead singer. The teens seemed to fit together very well as a band. And as friends period. Their sound was different with every song, one song may be emo while the next is very metal. One thing that worried Kagome though was when the school year started back up. She knew they loved the band and it was good for them to do something after school. But she told them strait up that if thier grades dropped then they would have to cut the practices to twice a week.
Kagome was glad Souta was coming today so she had someone else to help her keep an eye on the teens, because she had some grocery shopping to do for the week ahead. She hadn't told Shippou but they were having some company for a week from Sunrise shrine in East City; and shippou was not allowed to leave or have any friends over for the week our of respect for the monk that was going to be visiting. Luckily they hadn't scheduled a gig next weekend, and she was glad that Sundays were rest days where they just lied about on the couch watching TV. But regardless this is going to be a long week. She could hear the kids practicing outside in their shed. The intro to this one was...well different compared to the rest of them.

'Don't tell me they have been hanging out with Souta again...he has turned into sutch a hound' She was startled out of her thoughts by the front door opening. 'Speak of the devil'
"Hey, Sis, the band sounds great" Kagome smiled at her little brothers antics and stood up.
"Yeah they do, but Shippou is not going to be happy with the not being able to practice for a week." Kagome's tail swished behind her, and her fuzzy ears twitched making sure her son was out of hearing distance while she was saying that.
"You haven't told them yet? Kagome, you know that is going to blow up in your face." Souta winced remembering the insident when kagome was trying to explain why she had to stay in the future to Inuyasha. yet he tried to take her back anyway...the monk was furious, and he used a sutra to freeze Inuyasha to the tree he had been imprisoned to for fifty years the first time.
Kagome sighed. "I was going to tell them after practice today..." She didn't get a chance to finish; the kids came looking for their usual snack and Souta gave a pointed look at her and leaned against the wall with his arms crossed. As if saying 'i'm waiting.'
"Guys..." She Paused heasitantly. The Boys looked at her with a 'what did we do now' look. "You wont be able to practice here next week, and shippou you wont be able to practice at all next week." The early-teens looked at her with astonishment.
"Mom, what, why?" Shippou asked, and Souta smirked, that was what Kagome said when the Monk started to come yearly 'cause he sensed the Miko activity here.
"A very powerful monk is coming and staying next week, no visitors are allowed that week, and no one is allowed off the shrine." Shippou now understood. He remembered Inuyasha coming back after a week of saying that he will bring Kagome back, he was stuck to the well grounds for the whole week. Kagome continued to explain that it was a cleansing for the shrine, and he was going to come twice a year now that she was part demon.
Later after Goku came to get the boys,. He didnt expect to see Kagome playing with pink lightning, but in her human form. He walked up behind her about to startle her, but he ended up on his back looking up at the female cat demon. "I could hear you, you know." She laughed.
Goku blinked. She was laughing at him. He could not believe it. Kagome was laughing. She hadn't laughed since she was back in the feudal era from what he had heard from Souta and Shippou. He got up off the ground. "You better run." Kagome took the suggestion to heart and started jumping from tree to tree. Goku let her have a head start but not a long one.
'Maybe i shouldn't have given her a head start after all.' He slowed down, they were deep in the woods of the shrine property. And a natural hot spring was within the boundaries. A twig snapped to his left. As he went in that direction, Goku was pounced on from behind. Both figures lost their balance and toppled down the hill, Goku landed on top.
"Kagome?" He asked, and the figure below him smiled seductively and raised her head a bit. Goku had a bad feeling about this. For one, when on the shrine property Kagome didn't use her illusion; plus this woman, although very similar in looks and can mistake her for Kagome, if you didn't look in tho their eyes, and hair style. Kagome had silky dark blue black hair, and bright Sapphire eyes, while this woman had stiff looking pitch black hair and brown eyes.
As the woman moved to kiss him an arrow buzzed over top of them. "Kikyo...aren't you supposed to be in hell right about now?"
