Sesshomaru followed after Selene as soon as he regained his hearing. By the time he reached the clearing where the well was at, he saw the Elvish prince carry the young woman through some sort of portal. Only she didn't look like Selene anymore, she looked like Arsinoe. He tried with all of his demon might to reach the portal before it closed, but he was too late. Helplessly he watched Selene disappear with the pointy-eared princling who tried to take her before.
Arwen and the others were waiting outside of the hut when Sesshomaru returned without Selene. "Where is she? Where is Arsinoe?", the mother screamed. She could feel something was wrong, as if some void appeared in this time.
"She was taken, through some portal, by HIM", the demon lord hissed. He was angry that he wasn't there to protect her. He had failed her again.
"Do you know where in time HE took her?", Alana said as she came towards the doorway. She had a type of connection with her sister and felt the shock of everything that had transpired for Arsinoe.
"It looked like the area near Rivendell, but I'm not sure. The portal closed too quickly before I could get a scent of anything", he scoffed. This was infuriating beton any means. Arsinoe was so close and yet so far away.
"I can open up the same portal, but I cannot go back. As much as I wish I cannot, for I will see HIM again", Arwen said as she set herslf down on the rickety steps of the porch.
"WHO IS HE???", Inuyasha screamed. He was becoming annoyed with the fact that on one would name the HIM.
"I speak of Legolas Greenleaf. The Elvish warrior whom asked for Arsinoe's hand", Sesshomaru calmly stated, "Arwen speaks of Aragorn, Arsinoe's father."
" If my mother cannot face her fears then I shall face them for her. I will accompany you through the portal", Alana replied. She wanted to see her father one last time.
"There is one thing…you must not tell your father who you really are. Neither can your sister, that is why you must get to her quickly. You cannot change the past without tampering with the future", Arwen explained.
After much deliberation the group finally settled with who went and who stayed. Arwen and Kagome were to stay and make sure nothing in the future changed. Sesshomaru, Inuyasha, and Alana were to go through the portal and end up on the north side of the river separating Rivendell from the forest. With the arrangements made Arwen opened the portal.
Arsinoe woke up to a familiar voice. A voice she had not heard in almost a century.
"Morning Lady Arsinoe", greeted Elrond. He had never imagined his youngest grandchild to be a spitting image of her mother. She was a haunting reminder of the fate Arwen chose.
"Grandfather?", the young woman questioned. Her head was aching from her entire life being relived within a few seconds. It was then she remembered everything leading up to her death. She began to cry.
"Arsinoe?", Legolas said as he rushed to her side. He hated the fact that she had to go through everything, even watching her son fight to save her. "I'm sorry my lady I would give my sympathies, but I fear it would not be enough", he continued.
"You're right. Its not enough. Why did you bring me here?", Arsinoe looked to her grandfather. A tear slid down her face as she began to speak once mre, "I thought you erased my memories when you gave me a second chance in the future. I never wanted to remember anything about that day." Slowly she rose from the bed and glared at both the men who she admired in her previous life.
"Arsinoe you must understand. You would have eventually remembered. I am giving you a second chance with him", Elrond said as he stepped towards her.
"I am already married. Sesshomaru beat you both to me and married me while I was Selene Blancas", smiled Arsinoe. She thought Elrond was speaking of Legolas. He never approved of the demon lord who stole her heart as a child. She realized her mistake when her grandfather pointed to the window. Hesitantly she walked toward the balcony and looked down. Her heart skipped a beat and then jumped into her throat. The young man was speaking to an Elvish woman in the moonlight. The conversation was quiet, but loud enough that Arsinoe could hear. They were speaking of the fact that the woman was immortal and he was not.
"Father", whispered the stunned Lady of the West. She was brought out of the trance by Legolas's comforting hand on her shoulder. She returned the affection by placing her hand over his.
"Yes, milady. It is Lord Aragorn", her old friend replied. He could sense tears were coming quickly. She turned around to face him, her rock of foundation. The man who had kept her heart for so many years before Sesshomaru came and stole it. She wept as she had never before, and Legolas held her as he had always wished to.

Sesshomaru was becoming irritated. He had to keep a slow pace for the hanyou and Alana. They had discussed splitting up, but decided it was a bad idea with all the orcs and urukhai (sp?) running around. He feared Inuyasha would not be able to keep his own, plus Alana was a bit rusty.
They reached the road that lead to Rivendell. They would be there by early morning if they were lucky. It was then he c aught her scent. The wonderful smell of jasmine and roses. Sesshomaru sped off into the night not second guessing his leaving. He lost his love once. He would rather die a thousand deaths than lose her again.
When he reached Rivendell, he burst through the guards and headed right for Arsinoe's room where her scent was strongest. Sesshomaru's eyes bled red as he saw Legolas embracing his wife. Suddenly there was a white blur and Legolas was in a defense stance with Arsinoe behind him screaming for her lover to stop his attack.
"Don't you think this is why you lost her the first time? Are you willing to lose her again and put us through hell once more?", Legolas seethed through gritted teeth.
"You know nothing of hell and a life without your soul mate!", the demon lord hissed as he charged.
"Please! He was comforting me!", she screamed crying even more. It was then she was grateful to have her memories back. The armor Sesshomaru wore was Elvish and had a spell on it. A secret spell that only she, her mother, and her grandfather knew about. "Heel!", she commanded. With the incantation said the mighty Lord of the West plummeted rear first to the ground. This gave Arsinoe th chance to push Legolas out the window, but not before he kissed her hand and promised to return. The demon began to come out and charged for the prince of Mirkwood once more, but was "heeled" again.
"What is the meaning of this? You would defend him?", questioned an angry, scorned warrior.
"Why should I not? You would have killed him before realizing the REAL situation. I was upset and he was comforting me! Legolas may be a grand warrior, but he could never kill one who has made it his life's profession", Arsinoe explained as she walked to help her husband. She was surprised when he accepted her silent offer. Quickly she was engulfed in the warm and firm hug against Sesshomaru's well-toned chest. The comforting scent of pine and fresh rain cleared her mind of all her worries.
"I've longed to be held in your arms", the elf whispered.
"I've always had you in my arms even when you were Selene", he smiled about her head with his chin gently resting there.
The happy moment was short lived when Arsinoe heard the inaudible whisper of a certain hanyou. "A…Ar…Arsinoe?"
The lady stood on her tiptoes to see over the shoulder blocking her view. "Inuyasha?", she choked out. She ran to him and quickly looked the young man over. She took his face in her hands as she gently pulled it down to kiss his forehead.
"My little boy, well…my big boy", she smiled trying to blink back the tears. "You truly have grown. I see Yuri's spirit in you. You also have the famous good looks befitting a son of the West."
"You can cry if you need to. I know you're trying to be strong. You're just like Mother", Alana said as she walked past Inuyasha. She held out her hand to Arsinoe who quickly took it before pulling her elder sister into a fierce embrace.
"Speaking of Mother where is she? I thought she would jump at the chance to go through a portal to see Father", the Lady of the West inquired as she stepped away from her Elvish sibling.
"No, she…she is afraid to see him again", Alana explained.
"Well now that you are all here and reacquainted, I will need your attention drawn to a new matter and why I brought Arsinoe back", explained Lord Elron who was forgotten through all fo the chaos in the last ten minutes. The quaint little family followed behind the King of Rivendell as he lead them to the meeting of the One Ring. Sesshomaru and Arsinoe brought up the rear and were firmly holding hands as a message to the world that they refused to be separated.
"Free peoples of Middle Earth, we are gathered here for a common purpose. To rid the world of Sauron and his evil minions", Elrond stated as he walked to his seat, "I present to you the demon Lord Sesshomaru, ruler of the Western Lands in Japan, his wife, the Lady Arsinoe, his younger brother Prince Inuyasha, and finally Lady Alana of the British Isles", he continued as he signaled them to sit. The meeting went on for what seemed like hours, but finally the party assembled.
Elrond turned and began to speak, "Now, Lady Arsinoe you are to travel with this company until you reach the road leading to Gondor."
Arsinoe was completely confused. She began to say something until Sesshomaru gently squeezed her hand. "Might I speak with you Grand…Lord Elrond, in private, please", the young elf whispered as she approached his right side. She looked back to see her husband's displeased look as she followed the Elven king to his study.
"May I ask why exactly I was brought here", she was in the dark. She was completely lost.
"I asked him to bring you here", said a rough voice. The Dunedain turned to see a spitting image of the woman who had captured his heart. He could easily see she held her mother's spirit, but she also held her father's stubborn presence.
"Lord Aragorn,…why…why would you send for me?", Arsinoe played dumb.
"I wanted a chance to spend some time with my youngest daughter. You were barely nine when I died", Aragorn answered, "Also…I need your help. I need you and your sister-in-law to purify the land of Mordor."
"Mordor? What does Mordor have to do with anything?", Arsinoe was curious now. What could her father benefit from if Mordor was purified…in his time?
"It has something to do with Naraku. If the land is purified then he will cease to exist. You're lives will depend upon this one mission", her father explained.
"Then I shall go, but I need time to get Kagome. Will you wait for me?", the elf proclaimed.
"Of course. We leave in the morning", Aragorn said as he hugged his daughter good night.
After all was said and done, Arsinoe prepared to go through the portal and drag Kagome back with her. Yet she could tell her husband was unhappy with her decision. So she took Inuyasha with her to retrieve the young miko and update her mother on the recent events.

Author's note: Sorry guys I have been flowing on this story so Celestial Chances and Past Best Forgotten Future Most Looked For will have to wait until I hit a writer's block. So any who next chapter will be titled: Adventures and Quarrels.
