The Introductions

The two boys simply stared at the girl-THE GIRL-that had just beaten both of them with what appeared absolutely no effort. Yuki hadn't been beaten in years and that girl wasn't even trying.
And Kyo, well Kyo likes to think he can't be beaten.
The boys were startled out of their revere by a high pitched shriek. They watched in stunned silence as Tohru, their sweet, meek, shy Tohru, launched herself at the stranger. "Kagome!" She screamed. Kagome returned the hug with a smile. "What are you doing here? When did you get here? How long are you gonna be here? Where are you staying? Are Sota and your mom here? Why are you here?"
"Whoa, Tohru. One question at a time. But first I think we should explain what is going on to your friends here. They look a little confused." By this time Yuki had stood up and was watching Tohru with mild surprise. Kyo was still sitting on the floor and Shigure was muttering something either about someone destroying his house or more high school girls. Kagome bowed to Shigure and said, "My name is Kagome Higurashi as I said. I am Tohru's cousin. My mom was Kyoko's sister. I am living in an apartment near Tohru's Grandfather's house. I am going to be going to school here this year. I wanted to see how Tohru was doing and what kind of people Tohru was living with. She seems fine but I'm not sure I like the idea of her living with people who have fist fights like that.
"Hey!" Yelled Kyo, standing up. "What about you? You can fight too."
"That was learned for self-defense." Kagome replied. About six months after the first time she had gone through the well Inuyasha decided to start teaching her to fight. It might not do much harm to a demon but it might keep her alive until he could get there. He made her train every day for hours and she had gotten very good.
"That wasn't self-defense." Shot Kyo.
Kagome gave him a death glare and then responded. "You were upsetting Tohru." Kyo at least had the decency to look ashamed. Kagome smirked at him, the battle won. She turned to Tohru. "So how are you and how did you come to live here?"
Tohru smiled and replied. "Just a second. I am going to go make tea. Make yourself comfortable." Kagome sat down at the table and the three men come to join her. Tohru returned with the tea and sat too.
The two spent the rest of the afternoon exchanging stories. Tohru told Kagome how she came to live with the Sohmas and about all of the family members. She didn't talk about the curse though. Kagome told Tohru the same story she had told Tohru's Grandfather. She also told her all about her family and the shrine.
When the alarm on Kagome's digital watch beeped she shrieked and jumped up. " Oh My God! It's four o' clock already! Sorry, Tohru! I gotta go!"
"Why? I wanted you to stay for dinner." Tohru said, looking confused.
"I have to train. I practice at four every day."
"Well, Couldn't you train here?"
"I guess, but I don't have any of my equipment so I would have to fight someone." Kagome said obviously unsure about the idea.
"Well Yuki and Kyo both do martial arts so you could probably fight one of them." Both the girls looked expectantly at the two younger Sohmas. Yuki replied that he had to work in his garden. "Kyo?" Tohru asked innocently.
"Oh no. NO!" He yelled at the pleading puppy-dog eyes of Tohru and Kagome.
"Please Kyo." They chorused.
"NO! I am not fighting a girl." He yelled turning his back on them.
"Oh, so that's it." Kagome said going to stand next to the boy. She looked at him and shook her head.
"What's it?" He asked.
"You're scared." She replied.
"WHAT?! I am SO not scared of you, bitch! Come on! Let's go!"
"Ok." Replied Kagome happily.
"Wait! What?" Kyo yelled, confused about how he had been roped into fighting Kagome.
"Just come on." She grabbed his hand and pulled him into the yard. She let go of him and took a fighting stance.
"Fine!" He conceded, taking a fighting stance as well. Both waited not moving.
"Go!" Tohru yelled. Kyo ran at Kagome. Kagome focused on Kyo's body trying to read where he was going to attack.
Both missed the red and silver blur that jumped from the cover of the trees.
Kyo was slammed backwards into a tree before he had even reached Kagome. Kagome understood what was happening instantly and cringed.
"WENCH!"
