A/N: I like where this is going. I don't own Inuyasha or Blade or Blade: The Series.
Inuyasha woke up and rubbed his head, trying to figure out where he was.
"Hey," Kagome said softly as she sat down on the chair next to his bed.
"Hey." Inuyasha looked around his bedroom. "What happened?"
"You got hit by a truck." Kagome said sarcastically.
"Yeah, that's what it feels like. Ow!" Inuyasha cringed as he touched one of his ribs.
"It's broken." Kagome pushed him back onto the bed, into a laying down position. "You shouldn't move for a few more hours until the bones heal."
"How many did I break?"
"About six," Kagome said softly as she got up to move toward the kitchen. "Only miner breaks. They'll only take a few hours to heal."
"What was that thing?"
"All we know is that it was immune to silver and garlic, but not sunlight. Just like the reapers." Kagome whispered from where she was standing in the kitchen. Inuyasha looked down at the kitten sleeping on his lap.
'Looks like I won't be able to go anywhere any time soon anyway.' "Did you put Ben to bed?"
"Yeah. He wanted to stay in here, but he eventually fell asleep."
"Hmph." Inuyasha rested his head on the pillow and looked up at the cieling.
"He's turning out just like you." Kagome chuckled. Inuyasha just smiled and closed his eyes as he tried to go back to sleep.
Eight and a half hours later...
Inuyasha woke up and looked next to him to see Kagome sleeping, laying with her head on his shoulder. which was now healed.
Kagome heard his movement and looked up at him. "Feeling better?"
The hanyou cracked his neck. "Yeah."
Kagome sighed as she got up to start getting ready for work. "They're going to wonder where I went yesterday." She picked up her brush and began to brush her hair.
"Just tell them you got knocked out by a stray bullet or something." Inuyasha stood up and started removing his bandages with his claws.
"You don't have a job, so you don't know what its like," Kagome teased as she lifted up the small kitten from the ground and carried it with her to the other bedroom where Ben lay sleeping in human form.
"Yeah, whatever." Inuyasha pulled on his vest.
"I found one of Kouga's relatives."
"Really." Inuyasha looked at her with an evil grin.
"No, puppy. You can't kill by partner."
"Fun killer." Inuyasha's ears drooped as he holstered his Glock 21 and grabbed his keys. "I'll see you when you get home from work." Kagome nodded and Inuyasha closed the door behind him as he left for HQ.
Three hours later...
"Okey. Quiz time." King said as he entered the room where Blade and Inuyasha had already been sitting. "What isn't a reaper, but is a vampire and at the same time immune to silver and garlic." Blade sighed and shook his head. King caught this sighnal. "You seem like you might have something to say. Wanna share with the class?"
Blade stood up and walked over to one of the computer moniters. "Before I met Inuyasha, I had been hunting a house of vampires who had been expeirimenting with something called the aurora project. Similar to the reapers, those infected with the aurora vaccine become immune to silver and garlic. The major difference is that the vampire's body doesn't go through any genetic changes."
"And they don't suffer from hairloss." King looked around as everyone just stared at him. "Come on! Somebody laugh!"
"The other difference is that their metabolisms stay the same. They eat humans and at the same rate as normal vampires."
"So, the real trick is destroying these fuckers before they really hit the streets." King pulled out one of his sundogs. "This should do the trick. Those things still don't like sunlight right?" Blade nodded. "Okey then. It's settled." The hunters stood up to leave the room when Blade stopped Inuyasha at the door.
"Hey, the vampires no longer have their empire. The police are no longer controled by them and now that they got to see the truth after we defeated Drake, I think they'll listen. You get Kagome and see what she can do."
A/N: I'm close to finishing the series if you guys want me to. I always have new chapters hidden somewhere so if you guys want more. Just ask.
