Chapter 3

You Can Deliver Us!

Inuyasha and Sesshomaru ran down the corridor with Inuyasha in red, with many gold treasures on, and the same with Sesshomaru except in blue. Except the difference between them was that Inuyasha was as calm as the river, Sesshomaru on the other hand. Was a nervous wreck.

“I am done for, father will kill me.” Sesshomaru said worriedly. “You'll be fine,” Inuyasha said while pulling a curtain back and pushing his brother into the entrance. “No one will even notice us slipping in.” But when he stepped out the whole crowd was clapping and cheering. “No one will notice, eh?” Sesshomaru said as he nudged his brother. “Ha ha haa.” Inuyasha laughed nervously as the pharaoh looked at them and the pharaohess came to Sesshomaru. “Ah the young princes….” She said while hugging her sons. “Sesshomaru, you were just named Prince Regent, you are now in charge of overseeing all the temples.” Sesshomaru smiled goofily. “I suggest you get over there and thank your father.” She said as she pushed him towards the pharaoh, who shook his sons hand proudly. “Apparently Inuyasha, someone told him he just needed the opportunity.” The pharaohess said while clapping. Inuyasha laughed and walked over to the pharaoh. “My Lord Pharaoh, I propose that the high priest give offering to their new Regent.” Inuyasha told his father. “Yes that is a fine idea.” Pharaoh said while turning to the priest, who were stuffing their faces with food. “Naraku, Onigumo.” The pharaoh boomed. Onigumo looked at Naraku. Naraku told him. “The Meridian Girl.” “Yes that is a good idea.” Onigumo said while walking away as Naraku walked into the center of the temple as the lights dimmed. “By the power of Ra. We present for your delicate appreciation and entertainment. A stolen thing from a far away land.” He said as a puff of smoke cleared and revealed Onigumo and women on a camel. “We present to you the rare dessert flower.” Naraku said as he yanked the rope that was connected to her hands. “Ah, ah.” Everyone laughed as she was made to bow before Sesshomaru.” She was like a dessert flower. She had beautiful ebony hair. Fine tanned skin. Eyes a beautiful brown. And a well curved body with silk blue clothing and gold cover it. “Well let us inspect this...dessert flower.” Sesshomaru said while grabbing her chin. She was no more than a human, but a very beautiful human. While grabbing her chin and looking her in the eye and narrowed hers and tried to bite him. “More like a dessert cobra.” Sesshomaru said while shaking his hand. “Not much of a snake charmer are you?” Inuyasha asked while laughing. “No,” Sesshomaru said while pushing his brother towards the girl. “That's why I give her to you.” “No no no that's ok Sessh.” Inuyasha said while shaking his hands in the air. “I will be given to no one. Especially an arrogant pampered spoiled brat.” The women shouted. “Are you going to let her talk to you like that?” Sesshomaru asked weirdly. Inuyasha came up to her and put a finger in her face. “You will show the proper respect for the Prince of Egypt.” He told her sternly. “But I am showing you all the respect you deserve. Release me.” She yelled as she pulled the rope free from Naraku's grasp. “I demand you set me free.” She yelled while hitting people with the rope. Inuyasha dove to the ground and grabbed the rope. “Be still.” He yelled at her. “Let me go.” She yelled back. He looked behind her and saw a pool of water. “As you wish.” He told her as he let go. She fell back he landed in the water. Everyone started laughing, including a couple of laughs himself. He looked back at his mother but she just shook her head with a hurt look. He stopped immediately. “Have this woman dried off and sent to Prince Inuyasha's chambers.” Sesshomaru told the guard. He took her away but not with one last look from her then they left. Sesshomaru grabbed Inuyasha and turned him around. “Father if it pleases you I want to name Inuyasha as royal chief architect.” Everyone cheered. As Inuyasha returns to his chambers he takes a deep breath. There is a shadow of a woman's figure behind the sheet of his bed. He walks up to it and draws it back. What he sees surprises him. There is a man tied up along with his two trusty hounds. He looks to the window and sees a rope of sheets leading to the lower level. There he sees her. She is walking towards the exit with her camel. The problem is that there are guards heading the same way. Using his hanyou abilities he jumps down and runs towards the guards. He stops. If he didn't get their attention she would be caught for sure. “Guards!” He yells as she comes into view, she freezes. “Prince Inuyasha they said while bowing. “I…There's a man tied up in…in my room.” They look at him. “Well look into it!” He commands them. He watches them run and laughs. Then he turns to where she was but she is no longer there. He runs to the exit and sees the camel running away. He follows. Soon he comes across her again, at the well with a male and a female slave by it. “Please I need water; I have a long journey ahead of me.” She said while holding out her vase. The female fills it up. “May god protect you.” The slave tells her as she mounts her camel. “Thank you. Hut hut!!” She tells them and rides away. Inuyasha walks into view and sighs as she rides away. While he is staring he hears a vase break at his feet. The female looks up. “Oh, I am sorry, I didn't mean to… it's just…its you…OH!” She said a she jumped up and down excitingly. “Miroku, Miroku, see I told you that he would come one day.” Sango told her brother happily. “What does she speak of?” Inuyasha asked the male. “What, what do you mean? You finally came because you care about our freedom. Right.” “Why would I care about that?” Inuyasha asked. “Because, you're our brother.” Sango told him soundlessly while pointing to Miroku. “You're lying slave.” Inuyasha told the women. “You mean they never told you?” Sango asked sadly. “Told me what?” Inuyasha asked back. “That you're not really their son.” Sango told him. “Sango, stop it. Leave him be. I'm sorry your majesty she's ill she doesn't know what she is saying.” Miroku told Inuyasha. “Get her to bed.” Inuyasha said as he started to walk off. “No I'm fine, Miroku let me go.” She said while yelling. “You were born of my mother Yocheved, she sent you adrift in a basket to save your life.” Sango yelled. “Save me? From who?” Inuyasha asked. “Ask the man that you call father.” Sango told him. “Now you go too far.” Inuyasha said angrily. “You were sent by God to be our deliver.” Sango told Inuyasha. “Stop it.” Inuyasha yelled. “And you are Inuyasha, you are the deliver.” I said enough, Inuyasha said as he back handed her. She fell to the ground as he walked away. She started crying and sung.

Be still, love, don't cry
Sleep as you're rocked by the stream
Sleep and remember my last lullaby
So I'll be with you when you dream

She said as she lifted up her head and looked just like her mother with that one tear on her cheek. Inuyasha looked at her made a disbelieving face and started to run. He wasn't paying attention and ran into an old slave. The slave looked at him with horror. Then the slaves around him started saying. “Deliver us, Inuyasha, Deliver us!” He got up and ran towards his home. As he sang.

Gleaming in the moonlight
Cool and clean and all I've ever known
All I ever wanted
Sweet perfumes of incense
Graceful rooms of alabaster stone
All I ever wanted

He cried as he hugged the stone.

This is my home
With my father, mother, brother
Oh so noble, oh so strong

Here among my trappings and belongings

And if anybody doubts it
They couldn't be more wrong

He grabbed his sword. That of a sword to slay babies with.

A son of the proud history that's shown

That was the last thing that crossed his mind as he leaned against the wall and fell into a fitful sleep.
