Chapter 4

The Dream!

Inuyasha stirred his eyes then opened them. He was carved on a wall. `Must be looking at the drawing.' Inuyasha thought as he turned his head. When he turns around he sees his father. The pharaoh looks at the guards behind him. The points to where Inuyasha is. They start to race forward. Inuyasha runs and hides in some very tall grass. They guards race from wall to wall. Until they get to the last wall where the slave village is. Inuyasha follows. He sees women being pulled by their hair to be taken away from their babies. The guards kill anyone that gets in their way. One mother sticks out to Inuyasha though, she holds her baby close with two small children that race behind her. The little girl carries a basket with her. They race out of their hut before the guards come. While the guards are still racing against the walls the mother manages to get pass them. Inuyasha holds up his hand commanding them to stop. The three run to the river. He sees the mother kiss her baby and wrap him in her scarf. Them puts him in the basket, he holds her finger as she slips it away from his grasp. She puts him in the river and as the basket flows away she puts her head in her hands. One tear rolls down Inuyasha's cheek. Before the river turns black. The guards are chasing him again. He runs and before he knew it he falls into a sea. Many babies fall beside him. He heads towards a crocidle and cowers in fear as the mouth closes on him.

Inuyasha woke up with hot tears streaming down his face and gasping for breath. He looked at his sword and through it. He grabbed a torch and raced down the corridor. Looking at the walls he looks for something. After almost giving up he sees what he was looking for. A sea is seen with crocidles and babies being thrown into it by guards and the pharaoh pointing at them to do it. Inuyasha collapses on his knees. The pharaoh sees him. “It was my duty as pharaoh my son.” “Father, please tell me you didn't do this.” Inuyasha pleaded as he stood up. The pharaoh hugged his son. “Oh, Inuyasha, they were only slaves.” Inuyasha's eyes widen as he pushes away and runs from his father.

Inuyasha was sitting by the river when the pharaohess came up to him. “This is where you found me isn't it?” Inuyasha asked. She nodded. “So everything I have been taught, everything I am…is a lie.” He said while yanking his head away from her sight. “No, your are our son.” She told him.

This is your home, my son
Here the river brought you
And it's here the river meant
To be your home
Now you know the truth, love
Now forget and be content
When the gods send you a blessing
You don't ask why it was sent...

He looks at his mother and she hugs him. “I love you Inuyasha, no matter what..” She said as he hugged back.
