(Blue, after getting up, runs to Cheza and begins licking her in wolf form.)

 

Blue: Are you ok?

 

(Cheza looks at Ayame worriedly before turning to Blue in time to see Hige clean the last of Ayame's blood from Blue's dark muzzle.)

 

Cheza: Yes, this one is fine.

 

Kiba: It was the savagery of the fight that set her off.

 

Blue: But…it was a fight. Doesn't she understand that?

 

Tsume: She doesn't want to see the pain.

 

Cheza: This one could see what the others were all blind to.

 

Blue: No, everyone saw our pain but they… (sighs) they knew that pain is a part of life. You have to understand that Cheza.

 

Cheza: This one cannot watch such life.

 

Kiba: But, I'm going to fight!

 

Cheza: This one cannot watch you fight.

 

Kiba: Cheza! I need you on my side.

 

Cheza: This one cannot be at your side when you fight.

 

Kiba: Then…I will not fight.

 

(The other wolves make to argue but Kiba merely puts his hand protectively around Cheza and they both walk away.)

 

Inuyasha: So, the wolf is not going to fight.

 

Kagome: What?

 

Kouga: Kiba, the one next to Cheza, just gave up.

 

Ayame: Then who're you going to fight?

 

Kouga: I don't know. Do I just advance?

 

Miroku: I'm sure they have some kind of alternate.

 

Kagome: Yeah, Miroku's right, they've got to have someone else for you to fight.

 

Aisha: Take her out quick, Twilight. Don't give her anything, not even a foot.

 

Twilight: I underestimate nobody, unlike some.

 

Aisha: Hey! I won, didn't I?!

 

(Twilight sips her tea quietly as Aisha continues berating her.)

 

Hiei: I really want to see that human fight.

 

Yusuke: She's stupid though. I mean, come on, she's fighting with a wooden sword.

 

Kurama: And I use a rose, Yusuke.

 

Yusuke: Come on, that's totally different and you know it.

 

Hiei: She is powerful. It will be one to remember.

 

Yusuke: She's fighting a demon. That Kagura chick is going to obliterate her.

 

(Kagura smirks slightly as the comment reaches her ears.)

 

Naraku: You know the demon and his youkai friend are right.

 

Kagura: No, you think they are.

 

Naraku: If you underestimate her, she will defeat you.

 

Kagura: So you've told me.

 

(Naraku scowls angrily)

 

Rin: Lady Sazuka, you fight next. I hope you're ready.

 

Twilight: I think I am.

 

(Twilight looks toward Sesshoumaru)

 

Rin: Well, I just wanted to wish you good luck.

 

Sesshoumaru: She needs no luck; she will crush the so called wind sorceress.

 

Twilight: You really think so?

 

Sesshoumaru: Unless I overestimate your power.

 

(Twilight zeroes in on Kagura's form, her eyes inquisitive of the demon's power.)

 

Twilight: Perhaps you are right.

 

Announcer: Fifteen minutes to fight three of the first round. Fighters Twilight Sazuka and Kagura please prepare.

 

(Twilight finds her hand holding the hilt of her wooden sword.)

 

Sesshoumaru: Why don't you use a real sword?

 

Twilight: This is all I need.

 

(Sesshoumaru takes out Toukijin and hold it out to Sazuka who looks down at it.)

 

Hiei: His sword surges with demonic power.

 

Kurama: It is indeed a powerful tool, especially in the hands of such a demon as Sesshoumaru.

 

(Hiei nods at the comment. Twilight grabs the sword and turns it in her hand slightly.)

 

Twilight: There's something weird about this sword.

 

Sesshoumaru: It surges with demonic power. I see you can wield it perfectly.

 

Twilight: And if I couldn't, what would have happened then?

 

Sesshoumaru: The demonic energies of the sword would have taken your body over.

 

(Twilight smirks slightly as she swings the sword with incredible finesse and agility. She throws it up and playfully draws her sword on Sesshoumaru who catches Toukijin mid-air and aims it at Sazuka. Her wooden sword and his Toukijin are at each other's throats in a second. They both look at each other and slowly return their swords to their belts.)

 

Sesshoumaru: Fast for a human.

 

Twilight: You have no idea what I have hidden up these sleeves.

 

Sesshoumaru: Nor you what I have to show.

 

Twilight: Perhaps we shall find out in battle.

 

Sesshoumaru: You should hope for better luck than that.

 

(Twilight chuckles lightly and heads toward the ring.)

 

Shido: These fights are far more dangerous than I would have expected.

 

Riho: Yeah, they are definitely better than we originally pegged them.

 

Shido: You sure you're ready to fight. You could drop out.

 

Riho: What?! No! I want to fight!

 

(Riho tries to scowl angrily but only succeeds in making Shido smile.)

 

Bankotsu: This should be good. From the way she moved earlier she hides much in her tight form.

 

Kagura: Why do you all seem to think that frail little human will beat me!? I will break her in the wind!

 

Vash: I should fight first thing in the mourning. That guy is going to be easy. Look at the size of that thing. He is going to be lethargic with a sword that size. It's gotta way like a million pounds.

 

Wolfwood: I wouldn't bet on it. I lug this thing around…

 

(Wolfwood pats his cross)

 

Wolfwood: And I'm not lethargic…Am I?

 

Vash: No, of course not. (Puts his hands up in defense)

 

Wolfwood: I would be more worried about fighting those girls. They're pretty dangerous.

 

Vash: You have a point there.

 

Announcer: The next fight will begin momentarily.

 

(Rin jumps up and down waving at Twilight Sazuka as she enters the ring.)

 

Sesshoumaru: Rin, calm down.

 

Rin: Yes, Lord Sesshoumaru.

 

(Twilight smiles to Rin slightly before turning toward Kagura, who holds her fan tightly with conviction in her eyes.)
