Amidst The Change

Chapter 4: Fucking Swearing! The ones that stand in our way...

 

~Kim's P.o.V.~

I took a deep breath as I dialed the number to Maxine's house. I knew that her mother and brother would be there. Her brother, Marlon, picked up. I immediately felt like questioning him as to why he thought I was such an awful person and went with what his mother said. Instead I took a deep breath and spoke calmly,"Marlon...It's Kim...Max is missing," I said. I guess their mom snatched the phone away because now she spoke,"Where is my daughter? What did you do to her? I'm coming to take her home!" she said. I bit my lip and fought the urge to yell,"We don't know where she is...she disappeared...talk to her husband," I said, handing the phone to InuYasha. He hung up in a minute. "They're coming here," he said. "No! I will not have Max's mom in my house!" I said, standing up and glaring. "Kim, what the hell is with you and Maxine anyway? I mean...you guy's aren't supposed to be friends or what?" he asked. I clenched my fist,"Just because one person stands in the way doesn't mean I have to give up someone as dear as a sister!" I yelled. "Maybe it's best for my wife's sanity, Kim!" he yelled back. "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SAYING INUYASHA?!" I screamed,"YOU WANT ME TO LEAVE HER ALONE?!" He screamed back,"I WANT YOU TO LEAVE US ALONE, KIM! YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A NUISANCE AND A LYING BITCH!" He was breathing heavy as I lunged at him, punching every inch of his worthless body,"I FUCKING HATE YOU, I FUCKING HATE HER FOR MARRYING YOU, YOU BASTARD SON OF A BITCH!" I screamed. Seto pulled me off and held me back while InuYasha wiped his bloody nose,"I don't need this..." he whispered and walked out the door, just like that. "FUCKING BURN IN HELL!" I yelled after him. Sarah yelled at me now too,"SHUT THE FUCK UP KIM, STOP SWEARING DAMNIT!" she screamed,"Meg and Max and Jack are probably dying and we're screaming!" We were all...on our last nerves.

By noon the next day, what I thought I couldn't handle with my own sanity came. InuYasha showed up with Max's mom and brother. InuYasha looked calmer although I doubt he forgot what I had said. The rest of her family though, Marlon and their mom, looked livid and jumped down my throat. I held up my hand,"First of all...she's a grown girl, with all do respect," I added, forcefully,"Second of all...this is what happened..." I explained everything. They thought we were psycho and left, but not before yelling some more.

By that night, InuYasha was crashed out on the floor, leaning against the wall. Sarah and Will were on the couch, curled together. Marlon had left with his and Max's mother to a hotel for all of our sakes. I was curled up in the recliner while Seto went to fix coffee in the kitchen. He came back with two cups, handing me one and kissing me. I took it gratefully, while we talked in whispers.

"Seto...am I that bad...as bad as everyone says?" I asked. "No...you just protect people you care for, Kim...no matter what stands in the way..." he replied, stroking my hand lightly. "I've tried to protect Max ever since I knew her...I don't remember a time when I didn't call her my little sister practically...I always tried to protect her even when her mother stood in our way..." I said softly. "Only you and Max see what you're trying to do though...that's the thing..." he whispered. "If I say one bad thing...one disagreement...it all goes out of control and I'm considered,'Kim, the bad influence fuck-up..." I said. He sighed,"You're not though...and you know that, Max knows it...one person, maybe two or three, can't see that...but it's not your fault and you don't have to fix it..." he said softly, kissing me again. With that I fell asleep, even with my coffee, thinking of all the things that stood in our way and that we fought it always...

~Baha...I'm writing these quick...and...the last two have been rather short! >.> and you still don't know about Meg, Max and Jack and their nightmare thing. But...yea...that's it. Till next time~
