Chapter 2

Sweet Emotions

Kagome rolled onto her side. The clock's neon red lights read 6:00am. Great another night, no sleep.

The phone's ring madder her jump. Who in hell's name would call at six o'clock in the morning?! She just sighed and felt around for the cordless phone. Finally finding it she pressed talk and held it to her ear.

"Hello?"

"HEY! Uh…I hope I didn't wake you, did I?"

"Oh no Rin, you just happened to scare me shitless is all."

"Oh…I'm sorry."

"No it's okay, I had to get up anyway."

"Oh okay, well back to business. You know how Sango's getting married next month?"

"Yeah, and…?"

"Well tonight I'm throwing her a bachelorette party for her. And well…could you please be the designative driver?" Oh this is what Kagome needed. To be woken up on a SATURDAY at six o'clock just to be asked to go to a party at NIGHT and hang around DRUNK friends. Oh yes…this truly was her day.

"Fine."

"Really?! Thanks! Remember it's going to be at eight!" With that the disconnection tone pounded loudly in Kagome's ear.

"Doesn't anyone know how to say goodbye anymore?!" She was irritated, dropping the phone to the floor she moaned loudly. She was tired dammit! Didn't anyone understand that?! Slowly she touched her hand to her cheek. It felt so warm, even if his lips parted from there twelve hours ago, it still felt warm.

"WHOA KAGOME! Snap out of this! Remember he's a vampire now!" She yelled at her self, hitting her head with a hard book. "Besides I have to get ready."

Slipping herself out of bed she guessed she had to act happy for Sango's sake. After all, she was to marry Miroku next month. Smirking she mentally told herself on what a cute couple they'd make and…*giggle* how many children they might have.

Apparently she'd been to busy daydreaming Miroku and Sango having 100 kids that she didn't notice that the bathroom door was closed. WHAM!

"I gotta stop doing that!" she rubbed her nose.

`I don't want you hurt. You're so precious to me. Don't forget that.' Did he really mean that? She looked deeply into the mirror, as if it was a movie, she saw the day when she first met him.

"OW! Stop it!" Little six year old Kagome cried out. Although the 2nd grade boys were too eager to continue to beat her.

"You stole my sister's doll!" One of the bigger one's yelled at her and kicked her forcefully in the side.

"No I didn't!" They ignored her. Pulling her hair and twisting her wrists back. Her eyes widened in horror when she saw them pull out a knife. She quickly shut her eyes…waiting.

"AH!" A loud shriek broke through the air. Surprising…it wasn't of her own. Opening her eyes slowly she saw a red haired boy. He might be a 1st grader.

The boy who had the knife was bawling on the ground. He had a black eye and his nose was bleeding. The red haired savior's hand was still clenched in a tight fist.

"Get out of here before I decide to take that knife and ram it through your heart!" His voice was so calm but so forceful.

The gang of boys scurried away like frightened mice. Most of them were screaming for there mothers. In an instant Kurama was by her side.

"Are you alright?" He asked, emerald eyes looking into hers.

"I…think." Her voice was squeaky.

He helped her to a sitting position. Kagome winced while a few tears trickled her eyes and fell lightly onto her cheeks. He had managed to break her arm somehow. She was taken aback when he hugged her suddenly.

"I'm so sorry…Kagome."

She was still clueless on how he knew her name. Kagome sighed deeply while she brushed her hair. They were best friends ever since, until he turned to the dark side.

The clock turned to 7:30. Damn she had to be there in a half hour. No problem, she was pretty much dressed to kill. Literally. Her hair was worn in a high ponytail; she had on black pants and a black tank top. High heels and dark makeup.

She slipped a dagger in her pocket. A dagger in her purse, yea she knew, by the time she dug out her knife the bad guy would've already killed her. She put a dagger in her shoe too. Who knows right? She also put a gun in her trunk, not much help there but she wouldn't want to be going around a party with a gun.

The streets were deserted. She finally reached Rin's house, once she opened her door she somehow regretted coming. Something was screaming at her, but she had no idea what.

"KAGOME! I'm so glad you made it!" Rin's voice boomed in the night. She hugged Kagome tightly and led her inside.

Kagome's mouth was hung agape. No one was here! Just Sango, Rin, and herself! This didn't seem right.

"This was sort of short notice and everyone had plans." Rin backed herself up so Kagome wouldn't slap her. Sango just smiled sweetly.

"Rin says she wants to us somewhere Kagome."

"Oh really…where?" Kagome's eyebrow went up slightly as she looked to Rin.

"Oh just a shady place I know called Blood Fangs." Rin slightly smirked.
"you mean the bar of the undead?" Kagome asked crossing her arms. She wasn't liking this idea at all.

"Oh! You gave away the surprise!" Rin pouted disappointedly.

"Is that bar called "Bloody Fangs" for a reason?" Sango asked. Jeez, talk about dense.

"Oh, I guess you didn't give it away after all Kagome!" Rin grinned wider. This didn't bode well with Kagome. It was suspicious. Either Rin didn't know Bloody Fangs was a vampire strip bar or she was up to something.
