Sango's cheeks redden as I lean in eager to taste her luscious lips and wipe that defiant look out of her eyes. Her heartbeat quickens and her breathing turns erratic. I smirk about to close the space between us when Kuronue comes to the doorway. I feel my ears twitch and I turn to look at him with probably an exasperated look on my face. He smirks and arches his eyebrows. Damn him.
“What is it? Or are you just going to stand there?” I ask impatiently.
“Sorry, did I interrupt something?” Kuronue asks suggestively, his indigo blue eyes holding laughter.
“Yes,” I respond.
“NO!” My kitten screams and pushes me away from her. I sigh and walk over to Kuronue.
“What is it?” I repeat slightly disappointed that I was interrupted.
“What, did your fox seduction not work on her?” Kuronue chuckled again.
“It was working just fine until you came,” I glared.
“N-no it wasn't!” Sango yells from somewhere close behind me. I smirk at Kuronue with amusement and he laughs.
“Anyways I came to tell you that everything is set up for Yomi's punishment,” Kuronue states and I nod. Yomi will learn a lesson that he will never forget.
“The other members?” I ask wanting to know if everyone was ready.
“Already in the chamber,” Kuronue stated. What would I do without my second in command? I began to walk off to deal with Yomi when my kitten's voice stops me.
“Wait, what are you talking about?” She asks and I turn to look at her a smirk playing on my face.
“Well Yomi was the one who set up the whole operation concerning the village,” I answered and she looked thoughtful. I waited to see if she would say more. She looked into my eyes then quickly averted her eyes to the ground. I smirk at her shyness despite her fiery spirit.
“I got all of that from last night. I'm asking what you are going to do to him,” She says and looks in my eyes again. I can tell that she is very uncomfortable to be having a conversation with me.
“He has broken two of my rules. We are bandits yes, but we do not go around terrorizing humans,” I say and the look on her face is priceless. It looks like she just swallowed a lemon whole.
“And you call yourself noble bandits because you don't terrorize humans?!” She yells at me, the fire returning to her eyes.
“I never said that we were noble. We just don't go around messing with humans,” I reply and she looks at me confused.
“Not that I'm complaining, but why not?”
“I can't possibly run an operation with humans constantly interfering, besides your average lords and ladies don't have anything worth stealing.”
“Only because you don't like human interference?” Sango asks with an accusing look in her eyes.
“I am not really too fond of them and choose to not bother them unless they bother me first,” I reply and I know that my eyes reverted back to there usual cold glare upon remembering why I don't like humans. Sango stepped back at the cold emotionless face she saw. I sigh and try to erase the ruthlessness from my face, I didn't want her to fear me.
“Then why would you come to my rescue? Were you afraid that my demon slayer clan would come after you?”
“As I have said before I helped you because I wanted to. You are different from other humans. As for your second question I do not fear your clan. Being the leader of my thieves, however, makes me responsible for the actions that my members perform.” Her eyes go from confusion, to anger, then wonderment.
“Before you leave, where are my weapons and clothes?”
“I will send in a servant to take you to them, I had them repaired and modified. She will also take you to the dining area so you can eat. Feel free to make yourself at home and if you need anything just ask,” I say and walk out of the room. My face returning to the impassive face that reflects how I usually am. Kuronue falls into step beside me studying me with interest. I look at him out the corner of my eye wondering what he is thinking.
“Hm, when you are around her you seem…out of character. Your eyes get a certain gleam to them like they do when you see a treasure that you want and are about to steal.” I sigh. Did I really change so drastically around Sango?
“Indeed she does seem to be a treasure my dear friend.”
“You let her get away with things that people would die to even consider. Tell me how many people have even dared to slap you?” Kuronue was enjoying this entirely too much.
“None. She is an enigma and for some unexplainable reason I'm drawn to her,” I state.
“Maybe it's just an infatuation that you will grow tired of soon, who knows.”
“Maybe.” I state as we walk to stand in front of the entrance of the chamber where Yomi and the others are already waiting for me. I forget about Sango, the infatuation, the unknown emotions swirling within me, and everything. I assume the personality of who I really am, Yoko Kurama, the coldhearted, ruthless, infamous bandit who is whispered about in horror tales as I walk through the entryway.
SANGO'S POV
That arrogant bastard left me standing here alone. Wait, why should I care? I'm glad he's is gone. I glare at Kirara who was still in my arms. She was just going to let him kiss me, wasn't she?
“Traitor,” I say to her and she mews at me happily. I roll my eyes and put her on the ground. I began pacing around the room in an attempt to think. Yoko had given me a lot of information and I can't help but wonder about whom he really is. He is very confusing. He says that he doesn't like humans yet he saved me…why? Don't tell me this guy likes me. I shake the thought off. I don't to think about that right now. My mind changes to another subject, much to my displeasure it didn't venture far from Yoko.
The rumors said that he was ruthless, coldhearted, emotionless, lethal, and the king of thieves. I believe the king of thieves but the rest? When I first met him he was laid back and sort of playful, flirtatious even. At the village when he was speaking to me he was what the rumors said, but only to the two guys who was a part of his group. He was dangerous in that moment and fulfilled the rumors. He cut them down without a second thought or remorse. His back was turned and I didn't see what he looked like in that moment. With me he was still this playful lecherous fox. Earlier though when he was saying that he didn't like humans I saw first hand his eyes, the cold ruthless darkness to them. His voice even changed to the one that he used earlier, bitter. His face was impassive, showing no emotion. Was that look meant for me or because of his thoughts? I admit in that moment I was afraid. My skin crawls from the image of his eyes, so cold, on my face.
“Excuse me, my lady, but you wanted your weapons?” A female voice asked causing me to stop pacing and look at the doorway. A woman was bowing in the doorway.
“You may stand, you don't have to bow with me,” I state shocked that she was treating me like royalty. She stands up straight to reveal her pale skin and light blue eyes. Her hair was the same color as her eyes and it was pulled into a low ponytail that reached about halfway down her back. There were two tiny horns at the top of her head. She wore a black kimono that stopped above her knees; it was tied with a sash that matched her hair and eyes. She waited for me to follow.
I began walking with Kirara at my side and she went to the left, opposite from Yoko. I made it to the hallway and turned towards the demon about to take another step when a shrilling masculine scream vibrated off of the stone walls of the hallway. The servant flinched and turned to me offering an apologetic smile. I ran into the direction of the scream as fast as my legs can carry me.
I reach the entrance and peering in I see demons littered everywhere watching something. I hear the sound of a whip and another scream. I push through the circle of demons and to my left Yoko is standing a few feet away from me with his thorny whip in hand. He doesn't even notice me. I look to my right and about ten feet away I see a man spread against the wall eagle style, his wrist and ankles shackled holding him upright. His back was covered in blood, two deep gashes crisscrossed and leaking. Yoko pulls his arm back ready to strike again. I couldn't let him torture him to death, if he was going to kill him why toy around? What type of sick masochist was Yoko?
I ran towards Yomi as I see the whip go forward again screaming in an attempt to stop this madness, but prepared for a blow. I was in front of Yomi now and I flinched expecting the whip to collide with me. I heard murmurs begin throughout the room and when the blow didn't land I looked up the see Yoko in the same spot with a stunned look on his face. His whip was to his side. Did he stop his assault to prevent from hitting me?
“S-Sango?” Yoko stammered and I glared. I was beyond infuriated.
“You sick masochistic bastard! If you are going to kill him, then finish it quickly like the other two! Don't prolong his pain for your pleasure!” I yelled as loud as I can and Yoko's stunned expression turn into one of amusement. The sick fuck!
“Sango, I am not going to kill him. This is his punishment,” Yoko responded as if that made the situation better.
“Well, I don't like it! You're no different from the two that you killed! They toyed with that girl earlier, reveling in her screams and pleas until she died and now you're torturing him, not punishing!” I yell as I storm up to hit bat friend who was holding some keys that I assumed went to the shackles. I snatched the keys and Yoko raises an eyebrow at me. I storm ever to Yomi and reach up to unlock the shackle on his left wrist. I fumble with the keys trying the various ones to find the right one and Yomi looks at me with a confused look. I finally find the right key and proceed to unlock all the shackles.
Yomi turns to look at me with a look that said I'm extremely brave, stupid, or crazy. I may have unlocked his locks and saved his ass, but that didn't mean that I liked him or forgave him for what he did to the village. I toss the large rings of keys to Yoko and he effortlessly catches them still quizzically looking at me. I looked back to Yomi who still had his previous questions playing through his head. He was mine. I tucked my thumb into my fist and right hooked Yomi in the jaw hearing a pop.
“What the hell,” he yells now pissed, I didn't care. He swung back and I duck making him miss, a roar erupts from behind me. I threw Yoko a glare telling him not to interfere and two pieced Yomi in the jaw again. Demons all around yelled at my actions and out of excitement. This bastard caused many innocent people to die I cannot let him get away with it. I see him lift his foot up to kick me and I drop to the floor to evade it. In the process I swiped my leg into the foot that was still on the ground and knocked it from under him. He landed on the ground with a thud and grimaced at the pain his previous wounds from Yoko caused. I take this as my cue to knock him down and straddle his chest, locking his arms under my knees rendering him immobile. I begin to repeatedly strike him in the face not caring that my fists were starting to bleed and go numb.
“You punch heartless punchbastard punch theypunch had punch familiespunch and punch livespunch theypunch didn't punch deservepunch topunch die!” By this time Yomi's face was a bloody mess and I didn't realize that some one was near until I was lifted off of him. Strong arms embraced me and pulled me away, I was swinging and kicking air. After a while of my fruitless efforts I stopped struggling to realize that I was off the ground and my back was against a warm hard chest. In my attempt to get free I hadn't realized where I was and feel the heat rush to my cheeks.
“Can I get down?” I ask and I get set down. I look at Yomi who is sitting down glaring at me with his eyes promising retribution. I kick him in the face causing his head to snap back and he snarls and leaps at me. Big mistake. His gonads were at an easy angle and I take the opportunity and land a kick in his family jewels. He landed face first with a thud and groan his hands cupping himself. I look at all of the demons in the room who haven't picked their mouth up off of the floor yet and I turn to walk out of the door.
“Take this as a personal lesson… Is there anyone else who wants to defy me?” I hear Yoko say. The room stayed silent as I walked out into the hallway. Within seconds Yoko was beside me walking down the hall in silence. I was mad and needed to blow off some steam which I usually did through training.
“Do you have a room designated for training?” I asked and looked up at him. His hazel/gold eyes meet mine and he smirks. Is that pride in his eyes?
“Sure, if you want I can train you on how to use your weapons more effectively.” I didn't know if I should take this as an insult or not. I stop walking and he continues. I grab his tail and he halts and looks over his shoulder at me. His tail caresses my arm with sends shivers up my spine at the feathery touch. I let it go and step away.
“Yes?” He asks and I growl. Why does he have to be so annoying?
“Was that an insult to my skills as a demon slayer?” I ask boldly he chuckles.
“No, it's just that I don't want you to get killed if you are outnumbered and not as fast,” Yoko responded walking back towards me.
“Training it is then,” I respond and step away from him. Damn it...! My hands hurt! Yoko notices me nursing my hands and raises them to his mouth. He begins to lick them. I blush again. This seems innocent enough, but why does it have to feel so sensual? I pull my hands back, noticing the blood and cuts were gone. This guy--he is lethal.

Yomi sat in his room, eyes to the ceiling. An image of the demon slayer flashed through his mind. The demon gritted his teeth as she entered his thoughts again. Why could he not stop thinking about it? Her furious expression plagued his brain, and he could not hope to force her out. The demon closed his eyes and sighed heavily. His hand reached up to cup his cheek. “What a strong woman,” he thought.
