Chapter 6: Ain't No Other Man

Kagome smiled to herself as she walked out of her own pink portal. After the scene with her otou and Yusuke. She left then in Koenma’s office, afraid that she would purify them with her powers. Instead she created a portal to bring her to the makai to release some built up frustration to a few certain males.

She walked through the forest of makai, noticing the difference since the time her grandmother had brought her here to train her years ago. One of the many things she learned was to make portals to the makai, and mask her powers so King Emma himself couldn’t find her, let a lone his idiot of a son.

***Yusuke***

Sesshoumaru passed Koenma’s office as the group of men decided on how to find his otome. Koenma had every available source searching to find out where she could have gone to.

“How did Kagome-sama learn to make portals? Only very few are able to.” Kurama asked when the group entered Koenma’s office.

“It would seem Genkai had taught her to make portals. And to mask the portal and her powers.” Sesshoumaru answered, angered that she had out witted him.

“Then how the hell are we to find her! Your half brother is out there trying to find her so he can steal the jewel and force her to mate with him. If she’s out in the makai we need to start looking, not stand around and realize what we already know.” Yusuke yelled out in frustration at how he had let her slip away so easily.

“Urameshi’s right you guys. That half brother of yours is in the makai searching for her. The longer she’s there the better chance he has of finding her.” Kurabara said.

“It would seem then that you four will be sent to the makai. You’ll all have to split up to cover more ground. Your idiot of a teammate is right. The longer she in the makai, the easier it will be for Inuyasha to find her.” Sesshoumaru spoke.

He stood looking at the map in Koenma’s office. The lights on it moved, representing the youkai’s that roamed the makai. He wondered which one was his brother as he tried to find any sign of Kagome’s spiritual energy.

“Boton. Send the team to different parts of the makai. You will all need to keep in contact. Inuyasha is in the makai and if any information is heard you should send word to Lord Sesshoumaru.” Koenma spoke from his desk.

Nodding in agreement the four waited for Boton to open a portal to the makai for them all. It seem Kagome was going to be a handful for all of them, especially a certain detective.

***Kagome***

Kagome walked through the forest of the makai slowly, taking in the sight of the exotic plants that grew only in this world. She had made sure to hide herself from Koenma’s radar and the jewel from any nearby youkai. She knew when she decided to return she was going to be exhausted from the power she was using to have her own time.

Eventually she came to a small village near the forest she had teleported to. She looked around and could feel the youkai that where near causing her miko powers to flare in defense. She could have to be careful around them if she didn’t want to be caught right now.

The village was small compared to that of Keade’s. There was only one large building and was the only one with youkai going and coming out of it. Smaller buildings where surrounding the three stories high building. From the looks of this town it wasn’t for living, and most defiantly not for trade.

Signs on top of the building indicated that this village was dedicated to youkai’s looking for a one night bed partner. Some of the small buildings where shops selling numerous amounts of toys and bondage items for those who where in for a kinky night. While others where more of the romantic side.

Moving down the main street she headed for the tall building to find something to occupy her time till she decided to return to the idiots that wanted to control her.

A large bear youkai stood outside the door of the building, allowing only certain youkai’s in that wouldn’t give the owner any trouble. Coming to where the bouncer stood watching the surrounding area like a hawk, she looked at a sign posted on the other side of the door to the building.

Wanted: Female that can sing. Must past sequence of test to apply.

Smiling to herself Kagome turned to the bear youkai who was watching her from the corner of his eye.

“Excuse me sir. Is the position for the singer still available, or am I to late?” Kagome asked in a singsong voice.

The bear turned to face her. Inspecting her with a quick up and down look.

“The jobs available. You’ll want to talk to Bakura about auditioning. Your in luck. Tonight are the audition night. Bakura is usually in his office. Ask Misie to lead you there. Good luck lady, your going to need it.” The bear said, letting her through.

Kagome enter the brothel to find the first floor full of youkai men hitting on the females trying to seduce them to bedding them for the night. There was a large stage on one side of the room covering the whole wall and coming out about six feet. On the opposite side was the bar where three cheetah youkai quickly made drinks in a blink of an eye. The whole room was filled with tables and chairs. Some tables had poles attacked from table top to the ceiling for the females to dance and strip.

Coming to the bar she sat on one of the many stools that where there for people to sit and drink or order a drink to take to there table. A few youkai females walked around carrying trays of food and drinks and ordering food. It seemed to her the this little brothel did more then give males a one night stand.

Kagome waited patiently at the bar for Misie to finish making drink. She knew Misie had to be the female cheetah that worked the bar. It didn’t take Misie long to turn her attention towards her.

“What can I get you miss?” Misie asked.

“I’m here to talk to Bakura about auditioning for my new job.” Kagome answered.

“New job eh? What makes you think you’ll get the job?” Misie asked.

“Because, I have ten years of singing lessons. I’m the best. Bakura will take one look at me and I’ll have this job. I won’t even have to try.” Kagome said smugly.

“You got gut girl. I’ll take you to Bakura’s office. There’s only two other girls who are auditioning against you. So far you look like you might win. The others don’t have as great as confidence in them as you do.” Misie said jumping over the bar to lead her to Bakura’s office.

She fallowed Misie to a door near the stage. There was a staircase next to the office that lead upstairs to the rooms the girls used for the male buyers.

Misie opened the door to Barkura’s office and moved so Kagome could enter.

“Thanks.” Kagome said as she passed Misie on her way in.

Entering the office she heard the click as Misie shut the door behind her. Barkura sat in a leather spinning chair behind an old cherry wood desk. He was staring straight at her with a smirk on his face. She could tell he was an inu youkai, a young one at that. Or, he looked like he was.

“Lady Kagome. If your father knew you where here right now I’d be a dead man.” Barkura smirked.

Barkura was so much different then her otou. He had the same silver hair and gold eyes as otou but no markings. His eyes where round compare to his almond. And unlike her otou who had such long straight hair, Barkura had short that was only inches long.

“How do you know who my father is?” She demanded.

“Your father has made an announcement to all of makai that his heir was back and would take over ruling so he may retire.” Barkura answered.

“So, I’d be queen of the makai huh? Whatever. I’ve come to audition for the position that you have open.” Kagome spoke without a care to what her otou wanted.

“Well, I can’t deny you a chance, but if Lord Sesshoumaru comes here to throw me in his dungeon I’ll have to fire you if you make it.” Barkura replied smirking at her spirit.

“You’d cry when you loose me Barkura. I’ll be the best thing you ever had on that stage.” Kagome said confident that she had the job in the bag.

***Yusuke***

Yusuke hated what was happening. Kagome had escaped right form under there noses. And because of that he was now searching for her in her father’s lands. He’d been searching for her for hours and was due back at Sesshoumaru’s castle to report what he and the others had found.

He had no clue where the hell he was in the western lands. All he knew was Koenma was watching him, like always, and would send Boton for him when he covered enough ground.

That was hours ago from when Kagome disappeared. He was walking through the only part of makai that was mostly forest since Sesshoumaru despised people living on his lands. Which just made it all the harder for him. He just saw nothing but trees since he got here. Sometimes he wondered if he was going around in circles.

It took some time to finally make it out of the forest to a small village. Hopefully Kagome had come through the village here. Looking around he found a large building, about three stories high. Heading for the building he noticed a large line of men trying to get in but blocked due to a large bear youkai bouncer.

Yusuke smirked to himself as he walked towards the building. He knew who owned the building. Barkura had started the brothel after he had a run in with the gang for trying to steal out of Koenma’s vaults. Needless to say it wasn’t him and he had helped to figure out who it was.

After his name was cleared, Koenma had offered him a large sum of money as an apology. Barkura decided to take it and buy a building in Sesshoumaru’s lands and turn it into the hottest brothel in all of makai. Since then Yusuke had come to check Barkura’s business out and even had his own room for when Keiko left him.

Yusuke passed all the youkai males as he headed for the bear youkai who smiled up at him.

“Yusuke. What brings you this way? Barkura steal from Koenma this time?” The bear asked jokingly.

“No. I’m here on a mission. Seems Lord Sesshoumaru’s daughter ran away for a while. Barkura knows where every beautiful female is in the western lands.” Yusuke answered as he went through the rope to enter the brothel.

“Oh. You must mean the new girl. She’s going to be singing tonight. Well, more like auditioning for a job.” The bear stated.

Yusuke stopped where he was at these words. Kagome was going to sing at Barkura’s brothel? Where males would look at her, and want to proposition her for sex. There was no way he would let her go through with this. Let alone Sesshoumaru. At least he found her though.

***Kagome***

Kagome sat in a dressing room preparing herself for her audition. Barkura seemed to like her enough to lend her some money to buy something to wear besides her school uniform, though he said it would have helped keep the men to pay attention to her while she sang.

Instead of dressed in the uniform she was forced to wear she decided to buy a white off the shoulder baby doll shirt. Her jeans where black leather that showed off her ass. She had bought a belt that was too big for her hips and went through one belt loop and hung low on the other side. She had got leather boot that came up halfway to her calf‘s. She had no makeup on and the only piece of jewelry she wore was the Shikon no Tama.

A knock on her door brought her out of her thought of the song she was going to sing tonight. She only wished he could be here to listen, to find out how she felt for him

“Kagome, there’s someone here for you. How come you didn’t tell me you knew Yusuke?” Barkura asked as he walked into her dressing room, “Damn girl. You look hot. Maybe I should just hire you now.”

Laughing Kagome said, “But what about the other two. They deserve at least a chance.”

“Alright fine. I gave him a table up front. You’ll be able to see him from the stage.” Barkura said as he left her to get ready, “You got five minutes Kagome.”

Kagome smiled softly to herself as Barkura left her alone again. She couldn’t believe he would be here to hear her sing about him. How did he find her? Sighing softly she stood up and left her room. She had a mike to get her hands on before she went on stage.

***Yusuke***

Yusuke sat at one of the best tables in the joint. Barkura had insisted that he sit with him to judge each girl for a second opinion. And so far as the other girls, they both sucked. Each one hitting on Barkura, or himself to try and win extra points.

The last one had been as bold enough to sit on his lap and sing to him like he was her lover. He almost gagged to death at how much makeup and perfume she wore. Didn’t she know youkai noses where sensitive?

He was brought out of his thoughts when Barkura came back to the table with two bottles of beer. It was his favorite part of coming to the makai. Demons didn’t have a drinking age, they could hold there liquor in unlike most humans. And Barkura always gave him and the gang free rounds and a place to stay.

“Kagome’s next. I do wonder how she’ll do. Those last two where horrible. Too much makeup and perfume. Though Kagome seems to not have had any on when I told her she was up. I may just tell her she got the job then. But I do want to hear her sing.” Barkura said as he took a swing of his beer.

“You do know Sesshoumaru will kill you for this right Kura?” Yusuke asked using the inu youkai’s nickname.

“I’m a dangerous man Yusuke. And I don’t think Lord Sesshoumaru will do anything, especially if his daughter wishes to word here. That man was known to spoil both of his daughters.” Barkura answered.

It was then that the lights had been turned down low. Only one light was on and pointed to the stage that was empty.

“Ladies and gentlemen. I have the pleasure of introducing to you are last audition. Please give it up for Lady Kagome.” Came the announcer’s voice.

Everyone quieted down and turned there attention to the stage, curious of this girl who was announced as Lady Kagome.

***Kagome***

Kagome stood behind the curtains of the stage, waiting for them to pull away to reveal herself to those who she would entertain. Originally she was going to stand on the stage and sing her heart out, but now he was here and she was going to show him how much she was going to rock his world.

After the announcement was made she took a deep breath and watched as the curtains parted to reveal her. The only thing on the stage was a pole and a chair, her props for her song. The music began and she held the mike up, ready to lay it all out. She winked at him when she spotted him sitting next to Barkura.

As she sang she moved over to the pole to dance on it, making sure to keep her eyes on him the whole time. Finishing the second chorus she ran towards the chair, jumping on it with so much force, causing it to slide across the stage. When it stopped she danced on it. Moving her legs to the startle the back of the chair, showing off her ass as she stood up. Dancing around it as if it was him there and she was giving him a lap dance. Not once loosing eye contact with him.

Pushing herself from the chair she began to walk to the middle of the stage to step down onto the floor. Kagome walked straight towards him, intending to take him up on the stage with her and show them all show she wanted.Tell your mother, your brother, your sister, and your friend.And the others, your lovers, better not be present tense.Cause I want everyone to know that you are mine and no one else's!Oooooooo, oh!
Yusuke had no clue what to do when Kagome pulled him out of his seat and began to dance and sing right in front of him. He couldn’t help but be aroused by her warm soft body rubbing against him. It made him want to throw her on the table right there and take her. Didn’t matter to him if they had just met.

Kagome grabbed Yusuke’s collar and dragged him towards the stage with him never pausing as she sang. Once they made it on to the stage she headed to the chair that in the center and pushed him into it. She danced around him without touching each other.

Then she sat on his lap touching him as the song flew through her. And pointing at him when the song described him how she saw him and wanted him to stay.

Then she pulled him off the chair, kicking the chair out of her way. She loved being able to dominate him just for the moment. She knew he would be the man in this relationship. She loved how he watched and enjoyed her attention. Sometimes while she sang and looked him right in the eyes she could see his want, his lust.

***Dressing Room***

“Well Kagome, I’m going to have to say you got yourself a job.” Barkura said as he entered the dressing room.

Yusuke was sitting on a couch in Kagome’s dressing room since after the audition. He couldn’t for the life of him get his stupid grin off of his face. Ever since Kagome had kissed him on the stage, every male youkai glared at him. It was mind blasting to say the least. Keiko’s kisses had never done what Kagome’s did to him moments ago. Hell, Keiko hadn’t got him so hot and bothered that he wanted to ravish her right on a table without a care as to who watched him.

“Thank you Barkura. I guess we’ll have to figure out some sort of schedule. I do have school and training that comes first. It will have to be late at night before I can get here to sing.” Kagome informed Barkura.

“Oh. It’s not an everyday job Lady Kagome. Just Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Granted when your father is throwing a ball you will be given the day off.” Barkura informed her.

“Sounds great. The only thing we have to worry about is him finding out.” Kagome spoke looking straight at Yusuke from her mirror.

Yusuke smirked at Kagome through the mirror, “Only if I get to come see you every night you sing. I don’t want any male hitting on my girl.”

“Deal. Plus, I need you to come with me. I am now under surveillance because of a certain threat. And if I remember correctly, I am to take one of you with me?” Kagome asked sweetly.

“Guess that means we’re not breaking rules, right.” Yusuke snapped back friendly.

“Then it’s settled. Yusuke will be here to protect you from whatever this threat is and the male youkai who come here to see you. And I just got myself new entertainment. Shiane is going to be very happy to relax now.” Barkura said as he left the room.

“So, Kagome. When do you want to go back?” Yusuke asked

“I’ll go back. But on one condition, you guys better not fuck with me anymore. I’m tired of being asked to join you when I’ve had enough adventure to last me a lifetime.” Kagome asked.

“Awww. But watching you kick some youkai ass in that outfit would be a fantasy come true for me.” Yusuke pouted.

Kagome’s sweet laughter filled the dressing room, “Fine. I’ll help when you are in dire need of help.” Kagome bargained.

“Then I hope we’re in dire need of help every mission.” Yusuke joked.

“Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that all the time Yusuke.”

Okay, chapter six is up. Hope you guys like it. The next chapter will have a ball to pronounce Kagome as Sesshoumaru’s heir. And she comes to find she is to marry a youkai prince!
