I Do Own Inuyasha and Yu Yu Hakusho

“Father, A letter came for you.” Kagome said handing her father the unopened letter. She watched as he opened it. A minute later the man threw his arms around his daughter laughing. “One of my ships just came to port.” He said as his eldest two daughters walked out side.

“You mean we're rich again?” Kikyo asked. Her father nodded watching with joy as the two depressed girls began to dance for joy. That night the family ate well to celebrate their blessing.

The next morning the three sisters stood outside as their father mounted the old mule.

“I would like to bring each of you a gift. What would you like?” The Merchant asked.

“A satin gown.” Kikyo said, though who would see it in the empty fields.

“Gold earrings.” Yura said, but there were no suitors to admire them.

Their father then turned to look at Kagome. “And you my little flower?” Kagome just shook her head. “Please pick something?”

“A rose, I can not get a single one to grow here.” Kagome said. The merchant smiled at his three daughter's before nudging the mule to trot. Leaving the three girls behind.

After their father was well out of sight Yura turned to Kagome smirking. “You may just have a chance of getting a husband.” The older two sisters began to walk towards the house. “Actually, I don't think any man worth having will want a girl like her.” The door to the house closed locking Kagome outside.

SNAP: Kagome's father traveled to the city where his only ship was currently docked. It took close to a week to reach the port. When the merchant reached the home his long time friend, he was greeted as family.

“Where is my ship?” Kagome's father asked his friend that had been watching over the vessel.

“This way but I don't think you are going to be happy about what you see.” His friend said.

“Well let me see my ship at least first.” Kagome's father said.

So the two men set off to the docks and there set his ship beaten and worthless. The two men looked threw the cargo and it had all been ruined. The friend told him to stay the night and then the merchant could head home in the morning. When the son rose the merchant quickly went to the stable to find his mule had died during the night of old age. So he had to sell his saddle and bridal to pay to have the mule buried.

“I am sorry that you have to travel on foot but I have no horse of my own.” His friend said.

“That is fine my friend but I must be off I have a long journey ahead of me.” Kagome's father said.

“May God be with you. I pray that soon your luck turns around.”

The merchant then started on his journey home with out a gift for any of his beloved daughters.
