Chapter 3

Today was the day she was to start her new school. Unfortunately, Kagome was running late. Her training session the night before drained her more than she originally thought. Which more than likely explains why her alarm clock did not wake her up. When Kagome finally woke up and saw the time on her clock she let out a loud yell and quickly ran into the shower with a change of clothes. Genkai had already told her how to get to the school. She quickly showered and ran out the door, completely missing breakfast.

*Something wrong?* Hiei asked as he kept pace with the young girl.

*I'm running late. Why didn't you wake me up?* Kagome demanded.

*Why should I have?* Hiei asked confused. It wasn't his responsibility to make sure this onna got to school on time. Besides, he just figured she was ditching school, since she did turn off her alarm clock three times.

*Well thanks a lot. This is just how I wanted to make my first impression on my teachers. By being late for classes.* Kagome said sarcastically, as she entered the school. The school was named Mimori High, after some important person. (sorry don't actually know the real name so made one up.)

*Uh, Hiei? Why are all of the boys wearing pink?* Kagome asked confused as she got her first glimpse on what the boys were wearing.

*School uniforms. Their colors are pink.* Hiei said smirking. He still found it amusing that the fox was forced to wear pink. It made him look so much more like a girl.

*Are you telling me I am going to have to wear pink?!?* Kagome asked desperately. She hated pink. Well she did not care to wear it. She far preferred blue, than pink. Sure she has pink in her room at her mother's house, but that is because her mother put it there. If it was up to Kagome her room would be all blue, with maybe some purple in the mix.

*Hn. Something wrong?* Being very careful not to call her onna, wench, Miko, or girl. He didn't feel like eating dirt this morning.

Kagome sighed and started going to the principal's office. *Not really, I just really don't like having to wear pink.*

“Hello, may I help you?” A woman sitting behind a secretary's desk asked.

“Yes, my name is Kagome Higurashi, and I just transferred here from my old school.” Kagome said with a smile on her face.

“Okay dear, let me get the principal for you, I believe he had some things he wanted to discuss with you.” The secretary said. She was a kind looking woman with brown hair. A bit on the plump side with her hair done in a bun. She had dark brown eyes and a kind smile.

“Thank you.” Kagome said as the secretary picked up the phone and called the principal.

A tall man came out of the principals office. He was 6.2” tall and was well built. He had blond hair gelled back and glasses perched on his straight nose. He also had blue eyes that seemed to be amused, like he was laughing at life. On the outside appearance, this man seemed like a good charismatic guy. Someone that people generally liked. Kagome didn't know why, but for some reason this man gave her the creeps. He was followed out by another man. This man was of average height, about 5.5” tall, brown hair, brown eyes and a very kind smile. Now this man Kagome liked and was very relieved when he walked towards her and the other man left the office.

“Miss Higurashi, I am Principal Segai. It is a pleasure to have you here. Now if you would follow me to my office, I will have my secretary get your schedule ready.” The principal said.

“Miss Higurashi, you will need to pick up your new uniform before the end of the day. The school's main color is pink.”

Kagome interrupted. “Principal Segai, do I really need to wear pink. I have horrible nightmares about having to wear that color.” Kagome said while giving the principal puppy dogs eyes. Please don't make me wear pink. Please don't make me wear pink. Please don't make me wear pink.

“Miss Higurashi, pink is our official school dress code. When it came time to choose our school's color, all the other ones were taken, and so we are stuck with it. I have been looking over your transcript from your other school and it says here you have taken a lot of sick days. If I may ask, how is your health these days?” The principal asked kindly.

“Actually, I have been doing better lately. I hardly feel sick anymore. Principal Segai, do I really have to wear pink. I am sorry to say I am allergic to having to wear that color.” Kagome said with a very believable, very innocent face.

This girl has spunk. “That is good Miss Higurashi. Are there any special needs that you require for your learning needs. I don't want for you to fall ill and have to miss school. Oh, and yes you are required to wear the pink uniform.” The principal said.

“Principal Segai, the only special needs that I require is not to wear pink. Can I please wear a different color uniform. You know, maybe blue. Yes, I always think better wearing blue.” Kagome said hopefully, the puppy eyes back in full force. Don't make me wear pink. Please, please, please, pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaase.

Doesn't she ever give up. Principal Segai sighed. “Miss Higurashi, why is it so important for you not to wear pink?” He finally asked. Hoping that she'll give a good enough reason.

This question surprised Kagome. *Hiei you there?*

*Hn.*

*Quick give me a good reason not to wear pink. A very good one. Please.* Kagome asked pleadingly.

A quick mental picture came of her burying a pet in a pink shoe box. *Good one, let's see if he falls for it.* Kagome said approvingly.

Kagome gave the principal a sad tearful look. “My pet loved wearing pink. So when she finally died I had her buried in a beautiful pink shoe box. It was a very moving funeral, but, whenever I think about pink too much I am reminded of my beautiful and very loyal pet, and I become depressed. I…I.. I just can't bring myself to wear pink. Not just yet. It's just too soon.” Kagome finally finished tearfully.

I don't believe a word of it. But I have to admit, she's good. He sighed and pretended to feel bad for the little girl. “Miss Higurashi, I am sorry to hear you lost something so dear. Fine wear blue, but it must be a blue uniform, not green, not yellow, or any other color.” He said sternly.

YAY YAY YAY YAY *Thank you Hiei.* Kagome said happily. While somewhat tearfully, “Thank you Principal Segai.” Then she thought of something. “Sir, who was that who came out of your office?” Kagome asked curiously.

Principal Segai paused in answering her. Crap, she wasn't suppose to see him. He must be slipping. I am going to have to have a talk with that dimwit later. “Uh, oh that was an old colleague of mine. He comes to see me every so often.” He finally answered.

“Oh, okay.” Something's not right here. He's not lying, but there is something going on. Kagome thought to herself, and made up her mind to keep a closer eye on what was going on.

“Sir, may I go and get my schedule now.” Kagome asked.

“Oh, go ahead. I will be keeping an eye out for you Miss Higurashi.” Principal Segai said kindly. “I don't want anything bad to happen to you.” He said honestly. Which confused Kagome.

As she headed out the door towards the secretary, Kagome thought about the principal's parting words. Don't want anything bad to happen to you? I wonder what he means by that.

Back with the principal, Segai was too busy cursing himself. She wasn't suppose to even see him this early. They are not to meet just yet. It is still too early for her to find out what her destiny is, and all it entails. But, besides that, everything seems to be going on schedule. She has finally met Genkai and started her training. She will need that training to help her. She has met Hiei and has felt the presence of her heart's sister. Hiei will begin to remember and feel that he has to protect Kagome. Soon, she will meet Kurama and Yususke. Then she will meet Kuwabara. Finally and last she will meet Jin and Touya. For the fight that is to come, she will need all the help she can get. I must get that toddler to bring those two in. In this upcoming battle, she will need all the help she can get. After she has met all of these, she will then be reunited with her old friends and allies. Sorry Genkai, it seems you will no longer be able to avoid your past. It will catch up will you. I just hope you have at least mellowed out a bit over the years. He then gave a shudder when he started thinking about the tantrums she could throw when she lost her temper. That woman sure knows how to cause pain. Hmmmmmm. Maybe I should visit her sometime. It would be good to see her again after all this time. Just then he got a flashback to the last time he saw her. She had just threatened to unman him if he ever came near her again. He winced painfully. Then again maybe not. That woman knows how to hold a grudge.

Kagome had just gotten her schedule from the secretary and was on her way to her first class. Great, just great, why does my first class have to be math. Might as well get this over with. Kagome thought. *Hey Hiei, are you any good at math.* Kagome asked.

*Why?* he asked suspiciously.

*Just wondering. I could use all the help I can get.* Kagome said.

*Hn.*

*Guess that means no huh?* Kagome regretfully. Well there goes that idea.
Once she reached her classroom, she knocked on the door. When the teacher came to answer, Kagome introduced herself.

“Hello, my name's Kagome Higurashi. I just started today. Sorry I'm late.” Kagome said apologetically.

“That's alright, just don't make it a habit. Come in and meet the class.” The teacher said. Kagome's math teacher was a lady who appeared to be in her mid 30's and average looking. She had dark brown hair, chocolate eyes, and was about 5.4” tall.

“Class I would like you to meet Kagome Higurashi. Kagome this is the rest of your class. By the way my name is Mrs. Himora.”

“Hello everyone.” Kagome said with a big smile, but was starting to get nervous. All the boys were just staring at her with a dazed look upon their faces, while the girls were practically glaring at her.

“Okay Kagome, where are we going to sit you?” The teacher asked out loud. Before the teacher had even finished talking all the boys had emptied out a seat next to them, much to the dismay of a lot of the female students who were on the floor glaring at the baka boys. Kagome's face had turned bright red.

*Um, Hiei?* Kagome asked.

*What is it?* Hiei said, amusement evident in his voice. He had been keeping watch over her and had seen the boys reaction to her.

*Is this normal?* Kagome asked nervously, while the teacher was glaring at her students.

*It's the school. Just wait and see. You'll have your own fan club.* Hiei was clearly getting more and more amused at this turn of events.

The teacher was looking around and finally found a seat that had already been empty. Unfortunately for Kagome, the seat was surrounded by the girls who were clearly glaring at her. “Kagome you can take that seat by the window behind Jane. Jane raise your hand so that Kagome can know where to take her seat.” A brown haired girl raised her hand. Her hair was short and barely reached her chin.

Kagome took her seat and started wishing that today would just hurry up and go away. She took notes while the teacher was lecturing and found that math wasn't as hard as she originally thought. Now that she would have more time to actually attend school, it looked as if that would make all the difference. Finally, the bell rang and it was time to go to her next class which was art.

She finally made it to class right before the class started. “Hello my name is Kagome Higurashi and I'm new here.” She said to someone who she thought was the teacher.

“Okay, Kagome let me see your schedule. My name is Miss Kunikida and I'll be your art instructor for the day. Class this is Kagome Higurashi, she just transferred here from her old school so be nice.” She said, unaware of all the stares Kagome was receiving. Just like in her last class all the boys were giving her dazed looks while the girls just glared. Only one person seemed not to even notice her. Finally, a sane person. Kagome thought as she looked the person over. Since, the person was wearing a boys uniform, Kagome figured the person was male. He had long red hair and emerald green eyes. He was beautiful. If it wasn't for the uniform, Kagome would have just figured him to be a beautiful woman. But now that she took in more detail, it was obvious that he was all male. That and he looked to be talking to himself. Just what was he saying? His aura also kept flickering from sliver to red. Hmmmmm. Wonder what his story is. Kagome thought to herself.

“Kagome you will be sitting………Hm.” The teacher paused as she finally caught the way her class was staring at Kagome. Well, well, well, it looks as if my new student is going to have a fan club of her own as well. Poor girl. Best not put her next to Suichi, the other girls might get vicious.

“Kagome you may sit in that empty table over there.” The teacher said. She didn't want to sit her next to the girls, since they looked vicious. She also didn't want to put next to the boys, they would probably never let the poor girl get any peace. Which was why she sat Suichi by himself, much to the his relief.

“Okay class, today we will be practicing sketching. So everyone sketch whatever your wish. At the end of class you will show us what you have sketched and give a brief reason why you chose to sketch what you did.” Miss Kunikida said.

Kagome was trying to think about what she would like to sketch and couldn't come up with anything. *Hiei, any ideas on what I can sketch over here.* She finally asked.

Hiei smirked. Since his good friend the fox was in this class, he found a way in which he could annoy that spirit kitsune that just loved to annoy him. He sent Kagome a mental image, first of the spirit kitsune's face.

When Kagome saw his face, she thought he was drop dead gorgeous. *Someone you know Hiei?* She asked.

Hiei smirked. Then sent her the rest of the image. The image almost made Kagome burst out laughing. It was of handsome silver kitsune, but, he was wearing a gauzy red dress and was holding a red rose close to his face. The dress was off the shoulder and mid thigh in length. He also had on red stiletto shoes.

*God Hiei, where did you come up with this?* Kagome said, laughter clearly in her voice.

*Will you sketch it?* Hiei asked evenly. He didn't want her to know how badly he wanted her to sketch this idea.

*I don't know, how will I ever explain it?* Kagome said while thinking of what reason she could give.

*Hn. You probably couldn't do this image justice. You are just a ningen after all.* Hiei taunted. Knowing full well that she couldn't resist a challenge.

*You're on, but if you want to be able to keep this picture, you'll owe me.* Kagome told Hiei as she started to sketch. Too bad I can't use colors right now. Hm. Maybe later, depending how this sketch goes.

Kagome finished her sketch about fifteen minutes till the end of class. She raised her hand to get the teacher's attention.

“Yes Kagome?” Miss Kunikida asked.

“I finished my sketch.” Kagome said simply.

Miss Kunikida walked over to Kagome and looked over her sketch. When she saw what her student had drew, she busted out laughing. “Class pay attention.” Then once she got the whole class's attention, including Suichi's she said, “Kagome is going to now show you her sketch.”

Kagome stood up and showed her sketch. The whole class started laughing at what she drew. Everyone, including Suichi. “The reason I drew this, is well, because I just mysteriously got this image in my mind and it wouldn't leave.” She said innocently.

*Couldn't make up something better.* Hiei grouched to Kagome.

Kagome smirked. *No.*

*Hiei, is this your fault.* Youko growled out to Hiei.

*Fox, what gives you that idea?* Hiei said innocently.

*I must say Youko, you look good in that dress.* Kurama said, amusement clearly in his voice.

*I'll get you for this, just you wait.* Youko growled out to Hiei.

*Hn.* Hiei said and then cut them off.

*Calm down Youko, even you must admit that sketch is amusing.* Kurama told him soothingly. He was starting to get a headache.

*Amusing? AmuSING! The greatest and most feared thief of Makai, wearing a dress, is amusing?* Youko asked angrily.

*Well Youko, you must admit, you look good in a dress.* Kurama said.

*Of course. I make everything look good.* Youko conceded vainly.

*Besides you have to admit, that woman is lovely.* Kurama said. And indeed he did find her beautiful.

*Lovely, is that all you can say. You must be slipping. She is beautiful, more than beautiful.* Youko said. *Get her number, ask her out.* He said eagerly.

*In due time. We have yet to introduce ourselves to her.* Kurama said prudently.

*Forget introductions. Someone in your fan club probably already told her about you. Just ask her out.* Youko told him. He really wanted his counterpart to get to `know' this girl.

*All in due time Youko, all in due time. I would like to at least get to know her first.* Kurama said calmly.

*A prude. Kami, why did I have to have chosen a prude.* Youko grumbled and settled down. He knew that no matter how much he whined or complained, Kurama would go ahead and do what he wanted. But that didn't mean that he couldn't give him a headache for it.

Kagome had finally sat down and was now waiting for others to show their sketches. What surprised her though was that most of the boys sketches were of her. The only boy who didn't sketch her was Suichi Minamino. He sketched a forest. Also, what surprised her was that all of the girls sketches were of Suichi. What is wrong with this school?

When the bell rang, Kagome nearly ran out of the room and headed to her English class. This time she had a male teacher. He introduced her and quickly assigned her a seat. Again she was seated alone. The teacher did not like distractions, so he figured that it would be best to seat her alone. The girls in his class were mostly catty, and the boys seemed to have lost whatever wits they had when they saw her.

Kagome was so bored, when the bell rang she quickly walked to the door so that she could go to her next class, which was science. Only this time, she kept getting waylaid. Different boys kept on trying to carry her books, and walk her to class. By the time she got to her science class she was being walked by fifteen boys. Suffice it to say she had turned a very interesting shade of red. And turned even more red when those same fifteen boys walked into the class with her and they all sat down right next to her. Some found chairs, while others sat on the floor or just simply stood.

“Okay class, I have been informed that we have a new student. Kagome Higurashi will you please stand up and introduce yourself to the class.” The teacher said as he walked into the class. This teacher had short blond hair and hazel eyes, and was about 5.7' tall.

Kagome stood up and was about to introduce herself when she was interrupted. “Wait a second, I know I don't have this many students. There is..” And he started counting the amount of boys that didn't belong in his class. “Fifteen students who don't belong here, care to explain boys.” He asked the blushing boys. “No? Well then get to class.” The boys quickly got up and hurried out going to their own classes. “Now Miss Higurashi, please excuse these students here, they sometimes don't remember their manners.”

“That's okay, Mr.??” Kagome said.

“Oh, sorry about that. I'm Mr. Mizuno. Now if you'll please introduce yourself, and then we'll get started.”

“Hello, I'm Kagome Higurashi, and I just transferred here.” Kagome said simply. She really didn't want to talk about herself. And quickly sat down.

“Now class today we are going to talk about….” Mr. Mizuno trailed on.

Kagome took notes and waited for the bell to ring as well as talk to a very amused Hiei. *That was not funny.* Kagome said grouchily.

*Hn.*

*It wasn't. I swear there is something seriously wrong with this school.*

The bell suddenly rang and it was time for lunch. Poor Kagome though, most of the boys whom she had for her last four classes came rushing at her asking her out, or asking her to eat lunch with them. She tried to say no and cry off, then she made some excuse of having to go to the restroom. This didn't help, for the boys then offered to show her the way. When they were walking her she stopped in front of a janitors closet and plan formed in her mind.

“Oh my gosh, look over there. That poor girl is being picked on by that bully. Please do something.” The boys, all wanting to impress her turned around. When they all had their backs turned she quickly slipped into the closet and closed the door. Unfortunately, she bumped into something hard and was about to scream when she had her mouth covered by someone's hand.

“Shhhhhhhhhh.” A voice shushed.

Once all the noise left, and it could be fairly certain that no one was outside, the hand quickly released her mouth.

“Please forgive me, I did not mean to scare you. I just didn't want you to give away my hiding place. There are so few of them left.” The voice said and then switched on the lights.

Kagome's eyes widened with shock. She was looking at that cute boy from art class. “Sorry I don't think I introduced myself. My name is Suichi Minamino.” He said and slightly bowed.

“Kagome Higurashi. Pleased to meet you. Why are you hiding in here?” She finally asked.

“My fan club can get a little excited at times.” Suichi sighed.

*A little excited?* Youko grumbled, remembering the time the `fan girls' almost stripped him bare naked. He's all for getting naked and having fun. But come on, he is choosy as to who he wants to have fun with. Besides that, they tore apart his favorite outfit. It took him over an hour to convince Kurama to buy it, and even longer than that to actually get him to wear it.

“Oh, what's a fan club.” Kagome asked totally clueless.

“I believe you are about to find out, seeing as how you have built one also.” Suichi said, sympathy lining his voice.

“So that's what that was. So you think I'll be safe if I stay here with you?” Kagome asked, then her stomach growled signaling that she hadn't eaten that day. “Sorry, I skipped breakfast, and it seems lunch is out.” She finished miserably. She wanted her lunch, she was starving.

“That's alright, I have more than enough to share.” Suichi offered. As he took out his lunch. “I usually pack more than enough and I would be honored to share my lunch with you.”

“Really? Cool. Thank you so much.” Kagome said, and starting eating along with Suichi. They talked the whole period, about nothing.

“Well I guess it's time to go to class.” Kagome said disappointedly, she really didn't want to leave.

“What class do you have next?” Suichi asked curiously.

“According to my schedule, cooking.”

“That's really interesting. I have cooking next. What are your other classes?” He asked politely.

“Uhm. Let me see.” And took out her schedule. “I have cooking next, then P.E., then History.”

“Hm, would the room number perchance be room 212, gym 1, and 313?” Suichi asked. Hoping against hope that he would have her for class next.

“How'd you guess?” Kagome asked puzzled.

“Those are my next classes. I was hoping that you would have class with me.”

“Oh wow. Really? That's great, would you sit with me? For some reason I keep getting assigned to sit alone.” Kagome said, excitement entering her voice.

*You like that female.* Hiei said amused.

*HE is not a female. He's masculine. Very much a gentleman.* Kagome said huffily to Hiei, while still walking with Suichi to her next class.

Hiei smirked. He did not like many people, but he considered Kurama his best friend, though he would never tell him that. So it only seemed rational to get his two favorite people together. But that didn't mean that he couldn't `play' with Kagome. He sent Kagome a mental image of Kurama/Suichi wearing the girls school uniform and in a very feminine pose.

Kagome stiffened at the image. *Not funny, not funny at all. Down.* And heard a loud THUD as something hit the ground hard.

*Hiei? What was that sound?* Kurama asked his friend.

*Nothing fox. Don't worry about it.* Hiei said grumpily. He had forgotten about the damn beads.

Kurama led Kagome to their next class and had her sit next to him. Since he didn't have a partner it was easy to convince the teacher to let him be paired up with Kagome. He didn't miss the glares that he was receiving from the boys, or the glares Kagome got from the girls. They chatted and worked beautifully together. It seemed they made the perfect team in the kitchen.

Next they went to P.E. where the coach mainly had them run laps. To his surprise Kagome was able to keep pace with him. He had at first started up slowly, but when he saw her easily keep up with him, he gradually sped up until he was way ahead of the class. Kagome easily kept up, they ran as fast as they could without raising suspicions. Kurama was impressed. Youko was really, really, really, starting to like this girl.

Finally, they went to their last class. Kurama again had Kagome sit next to him. After the teacher finished introducing her to the class, Kagome found that she was very knowledgeable about the topic which was being discussed. The topic was about the legend of the Shikon Jewel.

“Now class, can anyone tell me another name for the Shikon no Tama? Anyone?” The teacher asked.

Kagome raised her hand. “Yes, Kagome?”

“The Shikon no Tama was also known as the Jewel of four souls.” She said.

“Very good. Now this jewel was said……..” The teacher went on. Kagome only half paid attention, and perked up when he mentioned the strange Miko.

“Now this Miko is said to be the reincarnation of Kikyo. Her name has been lost throughout time, but the names of her allies are still known. They were, Inuyasha half wolf demon, Shippo half kitsune, Miroku an honorable monk, Sango a tajiya, Kouga an Inu demon, and Sesshoumaru a wolf demon.” Kagome was shocked. The teacher had this all wrong.

“Excuse me sir, but I think you have some information wrong.” Kagome said.

“And what information would that be?” The history teacher said haughtily. He was the teacher after all. What would a student know.

“Well sir, Inuyasha was a half demon, but he was also half human, half Inu. Shippo was not a half Kitsune, but a full blooded Kitsune. Miroku was an honorable monk, but also a very lecherous monk. Sango is a tajiya, you have that correct. Kouga is a full wolf demon, in fact he was the leader of his pack. Lord Sesshoumaru was not a wolf, he was an Inu demon and Lord of the Western lands.” Kagome finished.

“And where, may I ask, did you get `your' information.” The teacher asked.

“My family owns a shrine and we have some very old scrolls that go back to that time. They are also very descriptive. As a matter of fact, it was said that my ancestor was once the guardian of the Shikon no Tama.” Kagome said in matter of fact tone of voice.

“Miss Higurashi, if you would be so kind, maybe you would bring these scrolls to the school and show them to the class.”

“Sorry sir, but those scrolls are very old and have to be handled very gently. If you wish you may visit my shrine. I'm sure my grandfather would love to tell you of the old stories and legends.” Kagome said kindly.

The teacher huffed at this and continued his lecture. To Kagome's surprise the rest of the lecture was more accurate, and she didn't feel the need to correct him.

When class finally ended Kagome picked up her homework and was about to walk to the store to buy her new school uniforms. Since she would not be wearing the school issued ones, she needed to find one that she could use. Kurama caught up with her before she could leave.

“May I walk you home?” He asked.

“That would be okay if I was walking home.” Kagome said. “Right now I am walking to the store. I need to buy a school uniform.”

“Shouldn't the school appoint you one?” Kurama asked confused.

“They would, but I convinced the principal to let me wear blue.” Kagome told him.

*Blue. How did she manage that, when you are forcing us to wear this girly pink!!* Youko exclaimed.

“How did you manage that? Even I couldn't get out of wearing this color.” Kurama asked.

“It wasn't easy. But I managed.” Kagome said as she walked towards a department store. “Well, will you help me look for a blue uniform?”

“I will be honored to help a beauty such as yourself.” He said gallantly, causing Kagome to blush.

“Thank you.”

Kagome suddenly heard someone chuckling in her mind. *Hiei, don't you dare laugh at me?*

*You like him.*

*Your point would be?* She growled out.

*Hn.* And sent her an image of her and Kurama kissing. Kagome turned a bright red.

*Down.* THUD!!

“Kagome, are you feeling well? Your face is very red.” Kurama asked in concern.

“Huh. Oh, I'm fine, it's just a little stuffy in here.” Kagome explained.

“Oh, okay.”

They searched for about twenty minutes before Kagome was able to find her uniforms. She bought six of them. One for each school day, plus an extra one, just in case. Just as she was paying she heard Kurama being paged.

Kurama looked at his pager and saw that it was from Koenma. “Kagome I have to leave, I will see you tomorrow. Sit with me for art class okay.” And quickly took off.

Well that was weird. *Hiei are you still here.* She got no answer. She couldn't even feel his aura. Hm. I wonder what happened that they both had to leave. Oh well, I'd better get to Genkai's. And quickly ran all the way to the shrine.

So it was an exhausted Kagome that faced off with an annoyed Genkai. “Sorry I'm late but I `had' to go to the store to buy my school uniforms. I bought six of them so that I won't have to go and be late for training again. I came as soon as I could. But I am ready to start my training again. Just give me a minute to change and I'll start my meditations. Am I going to do anything new today? If you want me to I can extend both my meditations to make up for lost time.” Kagome said while huffing and puffing. She really did run all the way to the shrine and didn't stop until she came to the top.

“So let me get this straight, you ran all the way here from the store, and you ran straight up the stairs without stopping, but you are still more than willing to do your meditations. And you wouldn't mind extending them to make up for lost time?” Genkai asked surprised. The only extra thing I had planned for her was to build her stamina even more by running, before she does her meditations. But she already did that, and is more than willing to do her meditations `and' add more time to make up for being late. This girl is definitely no slacker. “Very well you will add twenty minutes to your meditations, both of them. Then we will have dinner and you can retire for the night. Don't forget to do your homework. I do not train slackers.” This girl was fast gaining Genkai's respect.

“Okay.” Kagome said and started running again to hurry and change clothes. She did her first meditation over the bed of nails. After an hour finished, she found that she was getting control over her energies. And it had only been one day. So she decided to make it just a tad bit harder on herself. While still hovering over the bed of nails, she wanted to see if she could separate her energies and concentrate each one to a different hand. She looked deep into herself where she could see her energies merging and gently coaxed the blue one first. That one was harder to control, since she had not known about it. Once she had that one glowing in her left hand she then concentrated on the next one. She carefully coaxed the purple one to move to her right hand. After she was finally able to get both done, she then concentrated on keeping them where it was as well as staying above the bed. She did not want to get hurt by those needles, they looked sharp. Kagome quickly lost track of time, since she was too busy concentrating on both tasks at once.

When Genkai came to check up on her, she almost fell over in shock. What is this? I had not planned on having her try this for at least a week maybe two. It had already been two hours and forty minutes. Enough time for Kagome to have finished both meditations. Genkai coughed trying to get Kagome's attention without startling her.

Kagome opened her eyes and saw Genkai standing there. She was starting to feel dazed for using up so much energy, and she still had to do her other meditation. “Hello Genkai, is it time to start the other meditation yet?” She asked tiredly while floating to safety.

“Kagome, do you know how long you have been doing both meditations?” Genkai asked curiously.

“Uhm. I started after I finished my first hour. You see I was kind of bored and thought about trying to do both. I lost track after about five minutes of doing both at once.” Kagome said a little confused. She really did feel tired.

“Kagome it has been two hours and forty minutes. My guess is you have been using both meditation for one hour and forty minutes. Since you already did the second one, and added more time to the first, that is it for today. You must be careful not to use up too much energy. You stand the risk of using too much, and if something were to happen, you would not be able to defend yourself. Now go take a bath, we dine in an hour.” Genkai said, adding more time to get ready for dinner. She had a feeling this girl would need to relax in a bath so that could actually eat something, and then do her homework. Since she was adamant about going to school, Genkai was going to make sure that she didn't slack off in either school work or training.

“Thanks Genkai.” Kagome said tiredly while heading towards her room to gather clothes. Once she reach the bath, she quickly filled it up with warm water, adding her favorite scented bubbles. “Oh, this is heaven.” Kagome said aloud to herself as she quickly sank into the bath. Before she knew it she had fallen asleep.

She woke up an hour later by someone knocking on her door. “Yes!”

“Kagome, it's been an hour already. Would you like to come out and eat dinner.” Yukina said from the other side of the door. She was starting to get worried when Kagome never came down, so she had went to go and see if she was alright.

“Kay. I'll be down in five minutes.” Kagome answered back.

She was down in four minutes, with a minute to spare. They ate dinner and then Genkai sent her up to do her homework.

Kagome had already finished all of her other subjects, and had left the hardest one for last, math. She was almost finished with her math work when she stumbled upon an equation, that she couldn't figure out. *Hiei, can you help me?* Kagome asked tiredly.

*Hn.*

*Do you know how to figure out this equation? I can't figure it out.* Kagome said and sent a mental image of the equation to Hiei.

Hiei, not being able to make any sense out of it, decided to ask the fox. *Fox, I have a question for you.*

*Yes Hiei?* Kurama asked.

*How do you work out this equation?* Hiei asked, and sent over the image of the equation.

Kurama was curious. Why would he have need to know something like this? But he was too tired to even attempt to annoy him today. Even Youko was feeling tired. Damn toddler sent them all out on a wild goose chase, and because of that they were now tired and trying to finish their school work. Not really wanting to bother, he sent Hiei an image explaining how to work it out. Hiei in turn sent it to Kagome.

*Thanks fox.* Hiei said, relieved that the fox wasn't even going to ask questions.

*No problem. Be thankful Youko's asleep.* Kurama said yawning. He really was tired.

*Thanks Hiei.* Kagome told Hiei. Once she finished that problem, she was able to finish the rest. Then was able to go to sleep. *Goodnight. See you tomorrow.* Kagome yawned. *Oh, and Hiei, if I have trouble waking up, can you please wake me. I don't want to be late tomorrow.*

*Hn.* Hiei said.

Kagome took it as a yes and smiled. *Thank you.* And instantly fell asleep.

*****************************
Finally finished the third chapter. I hope you all like it. As I said I am slowly bringing in the cast from Yu Yu Hakusho. I hadn't planned on adding Jin and Touya, but it seems they didn't want to be left out. Go figure, they like a good fight. Any additional information you can give me on these two would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to be as accurate as possible about the characters, but please keep in mind that some things will be changed in order to go well with the story. So please be patient, and let me know what you think so far. Oh if you know of any websites I can go to that has pictures on how Yusuke looks in his demon form, I would really appreciate it, as well as have information on future episodes. I really like and appreciate your reviews. Keep them coming. Oh and I am currently looking for a body guard. My friend keeps threatening me if I don't update fast enough. Help me please. Very violent when near pillows. Oh, Before I forget. For all those who like the color pink, I am very sorry. I don't really hate that color, but I don't like it that much either. Besides I wanted her to stand out in that school. So please don't get mad.

Now to thank my reviewers:

Adultfan:

Valkyrie: Thank you so much for your review. I really appreciated it and I tried to update as soon as possible with this one. I can't let one of my reader's suffer for too long. Besides I have a friend who keeps promising me bodily harm if I don't update. Save me please!!

Sessykag4ever: Thank you for loving my story so far. I still haven't gotten to the part I want to be in. so please be patient. Hope you like this chapter.

Anon: Well she has met with Kurama already. How did you like their introductions to each other. Not too corny I hope. But I am not planning on making her and yusuke's introduction so nice and sweet. Tempers will flare. Yikes. Poor Yusuke. I can almost feel sorry for him. Key word *almost*.

Ryukotsusei: Thanks for reading my stories. Let me know what you think of the first one and I hope you enjoy this chapter as well. I aim to please.

Mediaminer:

Tomb Raider: Thanks for liking my stories so far, and thank you for your review. Well, the yu yu hakusho cast in this story is important to Kagome. They will help her to prepare and be ready for an upcoming battle as well as help improve her confidence and lighten up her spirits. The cast from Inuyasha will enter after she has finished meeting all of the YUYU Hakusho cast. I know that Hiei has a Jagan and because of it, it is impossible for him to forget something. The why and how he managed to forget Sango will be explained later on in the story. I did think of that before I wrote the story and came up with different ideas, that if you think on, makes perfect sense. Sorry I can't tell you right now. You will have to wait till later in the story to find out that one. It would ruin the mood. And yes I know that Yusuke is part demon as well. I found that out as well. And that Kurama was formerly a lord. Well Youko was at least. But, if you have any more info on Kurama, Yusuke, or Hiei, please, please tell me. I have not watched Yu Yu Hakusho recently and have only heard of what is to come. So any and all information will be very much appreciated.

************
Oh before I forget. Reviews are always welcomed, as well as any other information. If I have something wrong please don't hesitate to let me know. Oh and before I forget. I somewhat changed Hiei's past a little bit. I wrote companionship, before I found out about Hiei's mom, and that the island his mom and sister are found is mainly all women, no men. So please forgive me for changing that a little bit. Since I did include men in there. Sorry. Next time I know better. Oh and please forgive the made up names. Just making them up.
