Kagome sat with her head in her hands. Silent sobs shook her body. "I can't believe Miroku's dead. How could we have over looked Hakudoushi? He was…is ten times worse then Naraku." She shook her head, "This is my fault. I should have known that he was still alive. I can't beat him myself but I can't involve Sango or you guys. It's way to dangerous. Damn I'll have to ask him for help." Kurama and Hiei looked up as she said this. They knew who she was talking about, the hanyou Inuyasha.

Yusuke had left around noon. Calling on Botan for a portal, he went to tell Koenma the bad news. Kuwabara was currently playing with Buyo and Samiru. Hiei was on a mission of sorts. Sota, and Kohaku were downstairs training in the basement. Kagome's mom had it redone after Kagome began to train. Now Sota uses it to train everyday. Although no one knows it yet, Sota will be one of the new spirit detectives after Yusuke retires or dies which ever comes first. Shippo and Kurama were outside training. Sango was putting Kain done for another nap while Kagome was staring off into space. Sango walked quietly down the stairs. "Kagome? Kagome are you okay?" She snapped her fingers in front of the miko's eyes. "What…oh Sango you startled me. I was thinking about Miroku." Both the miko's and the demon exterminator's eyes began to cloud over with tears. "I think I'm going to wish him back…like he did for the wolf pack." Sango looked at her best friend, eyes wide, "I…I can't let you do that. Don't waste your wish. I'll survive without him." Kagome looked at her friend she slowly shook her head. "This is my wish, Sango. You love him like I loved Inuyasha. It nearly killed me when he chose Kikyo. I can only imagine the pain you feel. And what about your children don't they have a right to know their father? That settles it I'm doing this!" She stormed off leaving an extremely happy exterminator in her wake. Rushing outside Kagome began to build her powers. Kurama and Shippo stared at her, neither interrupted though. Everyone inside was completely oblivious to busy with their activities to pay attention. Kagome started to build her barrier when Sango stepped in her path. "I can't let you do this!" She shouted above the wind. "Your powers will weaken if you do." Kagome just glanced at her friend, shook her head and continued making her barrier. Sango didn't move so she was included in the protection of the barrier. The wind picked up speed and swept around the miko. Her eyes began to glow dark pink. The overflow of power leaked out the corner of her eyes and swirled into the wind. As she called on the Shikon jewel, her body began to glow a light blue, and the small items i.e. pebbles, leaves, etc. began to glow green and swirled against the wind. The wavering form of Midoriko flashed against Kagome's glowing form. "What is your wish?" Her voice was ancient and kind. "My friend lost her husband Miroku due to an evil I should have defeated. My wish is for him to be brought back to life and brought to my time so he can be with his family." Midoriko nodded as Kagome spoke. She was willing to fulfill this wish. "Your wish well seemingly unselfish was made for a selfish reason. You feel guilty about not defeating Hakudoushi. Miroku's death weighted heavily upon your heart. There will be consequences to your wish. But do not fret your powers will not decrease as Sango assumed, but will increase because your soul will once again be whole." As soon as she finished speaking Kagome let one tear fall. That tear was the Shikon No Tama. It floated in the air before releasing the four souls trapped inside. The priestess soul floated up into the afternoon sky. The soul of the little girl flew straight into Sango who collapsed onto the ground. The soul of Miroku's ancestor flew into the house. The fourth and final soul sank right back into Kagome's body. She crumpled to the floor unconscious. Kurama looked from the fallen body of the exterminator to the young miko. Sighing he picked up Sango, as he bent to pick up Kagome a low growl came out of the treetops.

If you don't want me to touch her you pick her up then. He shook his head and followed Shippo into the house. Hiei watched his friend disappeared into the house. He jumped from the tree and landed besides Kagome. He smelled salt and blood. She's been crying and she cut her hand. It bothered him that he cared for the young girl. Sighing he picked up her body and instead of using the front door he jumped to her window and placed her in her bed. He knew it was hers because it smelled like her. She smelled like a fresh rainfall. It was intriguing and alluring. He glanced at the sleeping girl. Hn. She means nothing to me she is only human. With that he walked downstairs. His thoughts occupied by the powerful miko.

Little Samiru raced into the living room followed closely by Kuwabara. At the sight of her mother asleep on the couch, she began to tiptoe. That is until she saw the man who was sleeping on the couch next to her mother. "Daddy!" She yelled as she flew across the room landing on the man. "Daddy is it you?" The man slowly awoke to the jabbering child. "S…Sa…Samiru, where are we? Where's your mother." Samiru gave him a hug and leapt off the couch with all the grace of a future exterminator. "We couldn't find you and then mommy was crying a lot and um and she came to warn Auntie Kagme of the very bad man. Auntie was so sad she cried a lot. She used a jewel and made a wish like in that story you told us about. But mommy's sleeping right here." She pointed at the sleeping woman. Miroku looked at his wife. He knew what had happened. He stood slowly aware that his feet were a little unstable. Once he was on his feet he knelt to the floor so his face was level with Samiru's. "Sweetie, I love you, you will always be my princess. Where's your brother?" Samiru looked at his before pointing to Kuwabara, she giggled slightly "Kubara has Kain daddy." She rolled her eyes as if saying Duh. At her remark, he looked at the group of boys. He pushed Samiru behind him. "Who are you? Where's Kagome? Why are you all here?" He questioned the three boys. Kurama slowly shook his head; this was going to be a long day. Kuwabara walked slowly to the monk and placed the giggling child in his arms. "Um…he's already eaten and Yukina and Keiko are out shopping for him. He needs diapers, and clothes and food. Weren't you dead?" "Baka." Hiei muttered turning to leave. He walked out the front door as the three boys came racing up the basement stairs. Sota burst through first, followed closely by Shippo, and then Kohaku. At the sight of Miroku standing there holding his son, all three boys fell into an ungraceful heap. Shippo unengaged himself and walked slowly to Kurama, more concerned with his mother then with the monk. "Where's my mother?" He asked calmly. Kurama tipped his head to indicate upstairs. Shippo began to run up the stairs when he saw Sota just staring dumbly at the man in blue. "Come on you knuckle head." He grabbed Sota's wrist dragging him up the stairs. Kohaku leapt to his feet, his Kusari-gama appearing in his right hand. "Who the hell are you!" He demanded form the monk, his eyes blazing with fury. "Haku, silly this is my daddy." Samiru walked to the young man. He picked her up and placed her in Kurama's arms. "You can't be Miroku. I watched him die. I saw that vile disgusting creature Hakudoushi rip him to pieces." Miroku looked at Kohaku, shuddering as he remembered what it felt like to die. "Kohaku, there wasn't anything you could have done. Hakudoushi was simply too strong. I asked you to protect Sango and the children and you did." "But I let you die." "I knew I was going to die the moment I told Sango to come warn Kagome." "Then how w…wh…what are you doing still alive?" Kohaku asked his eyes full of wondering. "I'm not really sure." Samiru just sighs heavily; they turn to look at her. "Well I WAS trying to explain but NO you had to start asking questions. Auntie K brought him to use with the jewel thing. She just made a wish and poof he's here." She smiled as she raced to her father. "Can I `old Kain now, Powease!" She begged he consented after sitting her on the couch he placed the squirming bundle on her lap. As she began to play with Kain, Shippo and Sota raced down the stairs. "Something's wrong we can't wake Kagome. We tried everything and nothings working." Miroku glanced again at his wife. He raced over to her, but the moment his fingers touched her, he collapsed into a heap. Kuwabara always the baka asked, "What happened?" Kurama shook his head; he picked up Samiru and Kain after handing them to Kuwabara he asked the young man to go play with them outside. "Shippo, go find everybody, this is an emergency. Sota bring your sister down here. Kohaku I need you to find out how long till Sesshomaru, and the inu-hanyou demons arrive. We might need their help." The boys raced off leaving a very worried Kurama in their place. Hiei something has happened. He showed the small demon pictures of what had just taken place. Kagome wont wake either. All he would reply was Hn. He didn't want the fox demon to know that he was truly worried for Kagome. He raced back to the miko's house. He walked through the front door. We have an even bigger problem fox. Kurama looked at him startled to see the jagan's eye open. I can't read any of their minds.
