He stayed awake wondering how this human could melt his heart the way no one else could. Slowly he pushed the hair away from her face. He kissed her brow and went to sleep with his mate.

Shippo bounded out of bed and raced to wake up Sota. He wanted Sota to go for a jog before they began their workout. Racing to get dressed he called to Sota. "Sota! Sota, wake up!" The teen just grumbled and rolled over. Sighing he picked up a pillow and chucked it at the grumbling teen. (AN: In my story Shippo is nine and Sota is thirteen) For all his trouble Shippo only received a pillow in the face and a typical response to a wake-up call. "Go to hell Shippo." Now Shippo was laughing hard Sota's hair was standing straight up (imagine Hiei but not as cute) He was growling and muttering, Shippo could barely make out the words. It sounded like `that stupid fox! Going to kill him. Maybe I'll shave him while he sleeps.' He continued to mutter as he walked past Shippo into the bathroom. Shippo shook his head. He hurried to get dressed, the jog would take them to Genkai's were everyone else was. Sota came out of the bathroom already dressed. "Still not ready Slowpoke?" He was already weighted down and was bouncing from foot to foot. "Come on already. Hurry up. I'll go wake Kagome." With that he raced from the room. Shippo had just finished putting weights on his feet when he heard Kagome scream. He rushed from his uncle's room and raced to Kagome's room. He stopped just short of her door. Sota was leaning against the wall. "You don't want to go in there just yet." His face was dark red and he stammered slightly. Shippo looked at him eyebrows raised. He sniffed the air and began to smile. Kagome's scent was mixed with the scent of the koorime, which was like the smell of a fire and pine trees. Laughing again he slapped Sota on the shoulder. "Mom me an' Sota'll grab Hieko and head to Genkai's. I'm um guessing we'll meet you there." At the growl that came from her room he began to laugh harder. Still laughing he pushed Sota down the stairs and out the door.

Kagome had never been more mortified then she was at this moment. Hiei had been doing the most wicked things to her and she admittedly loved every second of the torture. Just when things were getting really good Sota had to come bursting in. Hiei had leapt up oblivious to the fact he was naked, Sota had stammered as Kagome let out a shriek. He quickly walked out of the room and shut the door. A few seconds later Kagome could hear Shippo outside the door, he was talking to a mortified Sota. He told her he was going to go to Genkai's and the he would meet her there. Hiei growled at the young kit aware that his mate was too embarrassed to answer. He glanced over his shoulder at her. She was sitting up and her hand was covering her face. She slowly shook her head. He walked slowly to her and gently took her into his arms. "Are you ashamed about what happened between us?" He questioned fearing her answer. "NO! No its not that I just well didn't want my brother walking in on us. Oh I'm so embarrassed." He smiled slowly at her. She gasped, his smile was gorgeous.
