"She is a miko Hiei, her miko blood is fighting your demon blood. It will be interesting to find out what happens. If her body accepts your demon blood she will be turned into a demon but if her body rejects it she will die." Genkai was planning on yelling at him for being so stupid but he let his mask slip and she saw how concerned he was for Kagome. She turned and left slowly leaving the couple alone. Hiei sat on the bed and cradled Kagome to him. He began to cry crystal tears as he felt her energy slipping away. Hiei had just found her he couldn't be losing her already.

"Stupid koorime. I should kill you where you stand." Sesshomaru stated in a calm flat voice. Only his eyes betrayed his anger. Hiei stood face to face with the western lord not backing down. He was angry with himself but it wasn't like him to back down from a challenge. He drew his katana and patiently waited for the lord to draw his blade. Just as they were about to fight a voice entered both their minds.

Kagome cried out as a new wave of pain assaulted her. She was alone in a dark traitorous place. Her hope was fading she believed she was going to die in this place alone and without her friends. Just as she was about to give up someone walked onto the plain. "Mido..riko is that you?" Kagome asked shivering from the lack of warmth. Midoriko smiled at the shivering girl. "But how are you here I though you were a part of me again?" Kagome was becoming very confused. Midoriko sat down and pulled Kagome onto her lap. "Child I shall explain everything. You mated with a demon but you are a miko. His blood somehow entered your body. Your miko blood is trying to purify the demon blood. If it succeeds then you will die. You must relax and stop fighting." "But I thought that I already had some demon in me...you know that whole speed thing you did." "I only gave you a gift…" "This still doesn't explain why you are here." "Child, I am inside of you. You locked yourself into your own mind when the battle began. Just make a choice do you fight or will you become the first of your kind?"

"What do you mean first of my kind?" Kagome questioned starting to get really scared. "You will be the first ever Miko Youki. That is if you choose. You have a great destiny ahead of you." Kagome slowly nodded and stood up. Midoriko smile slowly and began to disappear. Ever so slowly Kagome began to calm the battle that raged within her. She slowly accepted Hiei's demonic blood. After the battle had calmed Kagome woke herself up from her self-induced trance only to hear a fight about to begin. She opened her eyes to see Hiei pull his katana out and Sesshomaru following suit. Hiei don't. Her mind called out to him. He spun around and dropped his blade. Sesshomaru looked at her. At her pleading look he nodded and left the room. "Hiei I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you." Even from across the room she could hear his labored breathing. Wait a minute I could never hear that good and I can see the threads on his shirts. Does this mean…Am I really a…is this really happening. She thought leaping out of the bed and running to a mirror. What she saw in the mirror made her gasp and fall backwards. "Is that really me?" She questioned to Hiei as she slowly stood up. Her claws were digging into the oak drawer. The girl in the mirror wasn't just pretty she was gorgeous. Her raven tresses were now midnight blue with silver streaks, her eyes were slanted like a wolf's and now they fluctuated in color. From blue to green, brown to silver, and even pink to violet. It depended on her mood. Her ears were slightly tipped, her complexion was a medium tan (I am sorry if this offends anyone but I was tired of the ivory complexions) She had filled out in all the right areas and now had a symbol on her forehead like most nobles. The symbol she had looked like a starburst but the star was a jewel that changed color with each power she used. The symbol for protector had appeared right above Hiei's mark and she now had sharp claw like nails. She slowly looked away from the mirror and looked into Hiei's face. He was once again hiding behind his stoic mask. Hiei was stunned she was beautiful and all his. He walked slowly towards her and kissed her lightly. As the kiss deepened someone walked into the room. Sesshomaru-sama told us you were awake and it's about time you woke up. We need to talk ,mistress Kagome. Kagome broke away from Hiei and glanced at the intruder. "Hieko what are you doing here and were you just talking?" Hieko sighed and rolled his eyes. Now is not the time for this. We need to see you trained. Your powers are the only thing that can defeat Hakudoushi. Well you and your mates. As he went to continue Kagome stopped him. "MATES!" She shrieked. "What do you mean mates. I already have a mate." Hiei looked just as confused. MATES. As in plural more then one mate. You are destined to be with two demons. Well you will have to carry on your race so hey. But enough of the small talk Mistress Kagome you are the first and so far the only Elemental Miko Youki around so training you will be hard. "I'm a what?" Kagome gasped falling into Hiei's waiting arms. He gave the death glare to the demon cat. Hieko merely shrugged it off. Kagome needed to be trained she would be in for the fight of her life sooner then she thought. He only hoped that Kurama would realize he loved her before it was to late.
