Chapter 7 Semi Finals

 

When Kagome stepped out on stage she looked around real quick she found Sesshomaru immediately. She then looked around a little bit more her eyes locked on crimson orbs. She now knew exactly why she was nervous her instincts were telling her Hiei was here. Why she cared she didn't know but, Kagome didn't have a lot of time to think about it when the music started to play.

After Kagome stopped singing the crowd would have been heard half the way around the world but, Kagome didn't care she was to busy trying to fight back memories about Inuyasha she didn't want to deal with. Hiei and everyone else couldn't believe it the girl they were looking for was right there and she had an amazing singing voice.

 

But that isn't what surprised Hiei, it was how much emotion she showed as she sang that no one else could see or hear. After about thirty more contestants came the twenty semi finalists Kagome was one of them and said that a brake was needed for the contestants and the semi finals would start soon.

 

Kagome went over to Sesshomaru. “How are you big brother?” She asked while giving him a hug just then Rin showed up. “Rin how are you?” Kagome asked. When Rin had become old enough Sesshomaru gave her the choice to become an inu-youkai, she said yes. He preformed the necessary ritual and not long after that she and Sesshomaru mated.

 

“I'm doing okay. How about you? We haven't seen you in forever.” Rin asked completely excluding Sesshomaru from the conversation.

 

“I guess I'm good. But the dumb ass Koenma sent his spirit detectives to pretty much baby-sit me, and their here.” Kagome said. Sesshomaru took an immediate interest in the conversation.

 

“You know we could always kick their asses. I haven't beaten anyone up since I had the pups.” Rin said getting a cocky tone to her voice.

 

“How are the pups, anyways?” Kagome asked with a rare smile on her face.

 

“Their good, but right now tell me why I smell a fire/ice apparition all over you?” Sesshomaru demanded.

 

“God, not you too. I will tell you later but right now I have to go and get ready.” Kagome said avoiding the subject. She then walked off after saying goodbye for a while to Rin and Sesshomaru.

 

“So what are we going to do?” Botan asked.

 

“Well, we will just have to confront her and take her to spirit world like Koenma ordered us to.” Kurama said.

 

“Some how I don't think it will be that simple fox.” Hiei said.

 

“You're probably right but we have no other choice. If we did I would choose it.” Kurama replied.

 

“Then I guess we can only wait till the contest is over.” Yusuke said while he looked back to the next performer.

 

She had shoulder length black hair pulled into a braid. She was wearing a pink shirt with the playboy bunny on it, she also wore a pair of pink booty shorts and ping sneakers. Then the music started playing and some people started to dance.

Kagome watched the other performers until one sang a song that caught her attention. He was a boy with shoulder length black hair while wearing baggy blue jeans and a white muscle shirt.

After, the boy got done singing she knew why it caught her attention he put so much emotion into it. She wondered why he picked that song maybe his life was hard but he was still living. The announcer called her up next. She walked up onto the stage and waited for the music to play, and as she did she found herself looking at Hiei. He seemed to be checking her out even if no one else noticed she did. Kagome was wearing a pair of tight black hip huggers, black boots, a chain belt, and a ripped up black short sleeved shirt.

She had no idea why she had picked that song, but she did and the crowed loved it as she made her way back stage she could hear the murmurs from the other contestants about giving up.
