Chapter 11 Confessions?

`Just great!' Kagome thought as she landed some more punches on her punching bag. `My family is staying with me, my sister is missing.' She thought furiously throwing a string of kicks, and punches at the punching bag. (I feel sorry for the punching bag.) `Not that I'm upset about having my family here, but it's because I can't search for Tenmei. But I have to leave it up to Koenma to find her! And I just can't have anyone else get hurt because of me but I have no choice.' Kagome thought landing one more punch before the bag ripped open. Kagome calmed down a little, and then started to clean up the mess she had made. After she was done, Kagome silently walked out of the room being careful not to wake any of her guests. Since Tenmei had been taken, Koenma had insisted that the spirit detectives stay with her also, just incase Naraku tried to strike again.

 

Kagome stopped in front of her room, and opened the door. She quietly shut it, and went over to her dresser. She picked out a black shirt that said. `To save us both some time, assume I know every thing.' After that she went to her closet, and got a pair of black jeans. Kagome made her way to the bathroom, and took a shower. Before long she heard her mother wake up, and soon could smell breakfast being cooked. Getting out of the shower Kagome got dressed, and then put her hair into a low pony tail with a few strands framing her face. Kagome then walked out of the room to the kitchen, like she had done every morning prior to all the guests she now had. Kagome got to the kitchen, and saw her mom cooking up a storm. She also saw her Step-Dad sitting at the table drinking some coffee.

 

Kagome's mom looked up and smiled. “Good morning, Kagome. How are you?” She asked. Tai looked up from his coffee still somewhat asleep, and smiled at Kagome, too.

 

“I'm doing okay.” Kagome replied. In the short time her family had been at her home, which was about three weeks now. She had talked to Tai, and found out he wasn't mad at her at all. That kind of shocked Kagome, and she wondered how he was so calm. Tai explained that he loved her and thought of her as his own daughter even if she really wasn't. This made Kagome cheer up a great deal, now all she had to do was wait for Koenma to tell her where Naraku was, but that was taking a while since he hadn't caused any trouble. Kagome could only hope Tenmei was all right.

 

Kagome sat down at the table as Hiei came walking into the room. He was as stoic as ever, making little to no noise as he walked towards the corner of the room closest to Kagome. He leaned against the wall, and looked at everyone but didn't say anything. “Good morning, Hiei.” Kagome said trying to start a little conversation, with the fire apparition she had started to get attached to. Kagome wasn't sure why she was so attracted to him, but she just couldn't seem to help it.

 

Hiei glanced at her, saying his world famous word. “Hn.” Kagome looked at him somewhat annoyed. Was that all he could say? I mean sure she thought the word was cute and all, but couldn't he say something else once in a while? Kagome's mother looked at the two, a small smile played its way across her face as she watched the two demons.

 

“Is that all you know how to say?” Kagome asked. Hiei was now glaring at her a little.

 

“No, apparently I can say something else, since I'm talking to you now.” He said in an icy voice that sent shivers up and down Kagome's spine. Kagome glared back looking straight into Hiei's crimson colored eyes.

 

“You didn't have to be so mean.” Kagome said in her own icy voice. Hiei was just about to retort when Kagome's mother interrupted.

 

“Kagome, Hiei would you both please wake the others up? It's time to eat.” Tai looked at his adoptive daughter, and the demon. Both Hiei and Kagome answered at the same time.

 

“Fine.” They looked at each other for a moment, then went off to wake the others while growling at each other.

 

Kagome's mother sighed, Kagome and Hiei reminded her of how she and her first husband had been towards each other at the beginning. “What's your problem?” Kagome growled out between clenched teeth, while walking down the hall beside Hiei.

 

“I don't have the problem, you stupid woman.” Hiei growled back.

 

“I'm not stupid you pompous Jerk!” Kagome growled back, her voice gaining volume as they fought. “You're right, you are a stupid bitch that's ruining my life, my mistake.” Hiei's voice now held venom.

`Who the hell does she think she is, talking to me like this.' I thought right after calling her a stupid bitch. `How the hell does she keep making me lose my temper? No one has ever been able to provoke me this much in such a short amount of time, let alone live after doing so. What the hell is going on?!'

 

`I thought we went over this? You are in love with her! Get it through your thick head.'

 

`Why do you always seem to bother me when you're not needed?' I thought pretty irritated. Every time I tried to think about Kagome it never worked, my troublesome conscience would always bother me.

 

`Because I can. Also, you had better claim her soon damn it! Mating season will be here soon, and we won't let some other demon claim her.'

 

`I have told you before I don't want her!'

 

`You lie, I know you want her even if you won't admit it! I'm your conscience for goodness sake; I know what you're thinking, and what you want! But you see to be too dense to understand that!'

 

I looked at the demon-ness walking beside me, her face was now red with anger, and her growling had gotten louder while she moved to stand in front of me.

Kagome's honey, gold eyes burned with anger, as she brought her hand up and smacked Hiei full force leaving four bloody claw marks along his face. That was it, Hiei snapped pushing Kagome against the hallway wall with lightning fast speed, and brute strength. He pulled out his katana, and held it to her throat while holding her arms above her head with his other hand. “If you ever strike me again, I will not hesitate to kill you. Do you understand, bitch!” Hiei bit out while pushing his katana against Kagome's neck, drawing blood.

 

Fear flashed through Kagome's eyes for a brief second, but then her eyes went blank and held no emotion at all. “Go a head do me a favor, kill me now.” Kagome's voice was calm, as if they were just talking about the weather or some thing. From what Kagome had heard when she talked to Botan, Yukina, and Keiko, Hiei would kill anyone that defied him. But everythime she had done something, Hiei only threatened her. So Kagome figured he wouldn't kill her now after threatening her for so long, but the look in his eyes was making her have second thoughts.

 

When Hiei heard Kagome's answer he was a little shocked but not too much. Some how he had figured she would still welcome the idea of dying. Hiei once again was about to say something until Yusuke, Kurama, and Kuwabara came out of the room to see what was going on. Yusuke looked extremely annoyed, and unhappy. “Hiei, let her go.” Yusuke said fiercely. Hiei looked at him, and glared but none the less he let go of Kagome's wrists. He wasn't in the mood to fight the idiot detective at the moment, Hiei then disappeared in a blur.

 

Yusuke, Kurama, and Kuwabara turned to the still somewhat pissed off Kagome. “Are you okay? Hiei didn't hurt you too bad did he?” Kurama asked with concern in his voice, when he saw the blood running down Kagome's neck.

 

“No, I'll be fine, I just need to clean myself up.” Kagome said impassively. She then started walking down the hall pushing Kuwabara as she passed him. Kuwabara fell to the ground in a heap with a loud groan. Yusuke and Kurama just shook their heads, the idiot had fallen asleep with his eyes open, and on his feet too.

 

“You know Kurama, something tells me that we're going to have a hell of a time dealing with both Hiei and Kagome.” Yusuke said delivering a kick to the sleeping Kuwabara. Kurama nodded his head in agreement, as Kuwabara jolted awake with a yelp.

 

“I do believe your right, Yusuke.” Then all three of them heard Kagome's mother call them to breakfast. Kuwabara and Yusuke rushed off to go eat, while Kurama shook his head and walked down the hall to wake Botan up, since Kagome never got around to do so.

I knocked on Botan's door, I could hear her mumble something, and then I heard her roll over in the bed. I laughed a little at this, I found out in the three weeks we had been staying here, Botan was anything but a morning person, and it was dangerous to wake her up before 7:30a.m. when she wasn't working. That had been one of the most terrifying things I had ever experienced.

Everyone was awake early that Saturday due to Hiei, and Kagome fighting once again. They did this continually one would piss the other one off, and it was like the next world war had started. Kagome's mother had started breakfast, and requested me to wake up some people who weren't awake yet. I first walked to Souta's room and knocked on the door, I heard him get out of bed while cursing a few times. Next was Botan's room. I knocked on the door a few times and got a string of murmurs and curses. Stupidly I knocked on the door again calling her name. All of a sudden I heard someone land on the ground with a thud, and angry foot steps coming towards the door. Next think I know the door flew open, and right in front of me was a screaming, half-asleep Botan. I had about run away from Botan, but she stopped yelling at me once she knew who it was.

I quietly opened the door, and walked in. I looked at Botan, who at the moment was sprawled out on her bed sleeping, with the blanket on the floor. I moved over to the bed and sat down on the edge, Youko was pleading with me to let him out. I knew better though, and pretty much blocked him out of my mind. “Botan…” I called quietly, while brushing a few strands of blue hair from her face. She gave a small groan but refused to wake up. “Botan, time to get up…” I called again, giving her shoulder a light shake. This time Botan opened her eyes, they were glazed over, and unfocused not really able to see anything at the moment. She blinked, once, twice, then a third time before she actually knew where she was. Botan looked at me.

 

“G'morning.” She said her words slurred together, then she proceeded to yawn, and stretch from her laid down position on the bed. I shook my head as I watched her fully awake.

Kurama was about to say good morning back, but just then he heard Yusuke yell. “Kurama, Botan hurry up or we're going to eat without you.” Kurama shook his head. He knew if they didn't get out there the food would be all gone. Botan Groaned.

 

“I don't know if I want to sleep more or have breakfast.” She said, the read head looked at her sympathetically.

 

“If you don't get up you won't get to eat until lunch.” He said. Botan again groaned, and rolled off the other side of the bed, she then looked at Kurama.

 

“Alright then I'm coming. Tell them I'll be there in a moment.” Kurama nodded his head then got up to leave, but right before he did he went over to Botan and gave her a quick kiss. Then he left the room, with a slight blush on his cheeks. Botan, also had the same blush on her cheeks.

 

A few minutes later everyone was sitting at the table, ready to eat. Even Hiei had come to get some food. All they were waiting for now was for Kagome's mom to put the last plate of food on the table. Yusuke was pretty much drooling. The very moment Kagome's mother sat down, and said it was time to eat, Yusuke and Kuwabara dived for the food.

 

After, everyone was done eating Kagome got up, and left the room with out a word. Only a few people noticed that she left, and one of the people decided to follow her. Kagome walked to a storage room and got a pretty big bucket of raw meat, and proceeded to walk towards her forest behind the house. The figure followed after her quietly not noticed at the moment.

 

Kagome soon arrived at a clearing and then sat down the bucket. She whistled, and not too long after the sound of barks were heard. Then all of a sudden her pack of dogs and the one fire cat appeared. Kagome smiled, they knew she had brought them food, and were eager to get some. Although Kagome fed her pets dog food, they always did like meat better. The demon cat jumped onto Kagome's shoulder and meowed. “Hello, Kirara! How are you doing? Keeping my pack in line are you?” Kagome joked to Kirara. The little cat meowed in a laughter sort of way. Kagome gave her the first piece of meat and it was huge, big enough she had to change into her larger form.

 

King walked up to her and then licked Kagome's cheek affectionately. Then waited for her to give him his food. The others waited knowing better than to eat before the alphas, even though they ere dogs they acted more like wolves. Kagome gave King and Udine their food. Then passed it out to Leake and Kora. After, them she passed out some food to the other older ones. Finally she passed out little chunks to the pups.

 

~So what have you guys been up to? I haven't seen you by the house for a while.~ She thought to all of them while they ate.

 

~We were tired of the two idiots fighting all the time.~ King answered.

 

~Yeah, they are something else.~ She thought about Yusuke and Kuwabara for a moment.

 

~They could wake up the dead!~ Meka complained.

 

“That would be bad, because then Hiei would have to fight off all the zombies of the demons he's killed.” Kagome said starting to speak out aloud, since they all could understand her. The person that had followed her listened intently. He had already been listening to the mental conversation. (You should all know who it is by now.)

 

~So what do you think of Hiei?~ Udine asked knowing there was a bit of a connection between her mistress, and the cute demon.

 

“What do you mean?” Kagome asked playing dumb.

 

~Come on Kagome, I know you like him. In fact all of us do, even the pups.~ Kirara came in.

 

“It's true okay? I do like him a lot!” Kagome gave a defeated sigh, was it that obvious to everyone? First Rin, then Keiko, after that Botan, next Yukina, and last her mother. She just wouldn't, and couldn't deny it anymore. “I don't know why, but I think I love him. I'm really attracted to him. Although, he makes me mad constantly, I just can't help but forgive him. I can't even tell him how I feel to his face though. I'm afraid to be rejected.” Kagome confessed. She may not ever tell anyone besides her dogs but what she said was all true.

 

The figure had a shocked expression on his face, he wasn't sure what to think so he just sat there. “He probably hates me anyways, so I have no clue why I'm saying these things. I know I'm only making it harder on myself, but I just can't help it!” Kagome said quietly. Then she got up, and started to walk back to her house. Kagome felt so stupid at the moment but that wouldn't last for too awful long.

 

The figure darted off so he didn't get caught by her, he now had a lot of thinking to do. When Kagome finally got to the house, every one ran out to meet her. They all had a look of urgency on their faces. Then they all said in unison. “Kagome, they found him…”

Author's Notes: You so have my permission to kill me. I am very sorry. Soccer has come to an end I now have time and I have been working on the next chapter for sometime. And besides summer's coming up that'll partially give me some time. This is a very rough schedule for June. June 4th is my last day of school but I'll be out at like 9:45 so it shouldn't be too bad then that week is free unless me and my best friend go do something or my boyfriend. (Note: My boyfriend is not the Hojo acting guy, this guy is completely different. And do you want to hear something interesting? My boyfriend is my best friend's step-brother. So it is a very hilarious situation! She's completely fine with it. And we'll be double dating a lot because my BF's boyfriend is a guy that I've liked for 2 years and I also knew and liked him before her! But it's okay because I don't really mind anymore and it's the truth. Like at first I was uncomfortably but it's been maybe more than a month since they started. And K.P. was like I want to ask you out but I don't want to get in the way of your friendship. Then B.T. was like yeah even though she says its fine I still think that she likes you. So when B.T. told me this I went up to K.P. and yelled at him to ask B.T. out and then went up to B.T. to fucking go out with him. Finally they did and now I can always find them together. I'm very happy for them. And I'm glad I could forget about K.P. Now back to my schedule!) Anyways, then the next week with the 10th being my moms birthday and that being a clear week I can work on the story then. Then next week with it being the 17th I have a tennis camp to go to until the 21st then the rest of that week is clear.
