Chapter 3: Kagome?!

The chill that swept through the room had everyone tense and on edge. “Yuuske…” Kuwabara whispered the second the doorknob stated to turn, “What?” he whispered back harshly as door started to open. “They….they have no souls…” The words were barely out of Kuwabara’s mouth when the door opened and a tall male figure in a dark gray, hooded cloak glided through the open door as if on wheels, never taking a step. Two others followed the first in same appeal, directly behind the leader. The first one behind him was smaller, but the one in the far back was bigger then the leader. Koema immediately stood and strode around the table to greet them. They stopped in unison in a line in front of Koema. The first approached Koema and Koema immediately fisted his right hand over his heart and ….bowed? The leader made the same motion from under his cloak and the other two stepped forward and did the same. Then finally, the two bigger two took of their hoods and turned to escort the middle one to the three empty seats. When they turned towards them the people seated were awed. They were the most beautiful guys that well….anyone had ever seen. The ‘leader’ was tall, and had long beautiful blonde hair that fell just below his ears. His eyes where unlike any other they were a piercing blue-except with no pupil. His face was structured like a Greek god, with a straight nose, high, defined cheekbones and a proudly structured jaw. The other was the polar opposite. His long hair flowed over his shoulders in layered brown locks that framed his dark skin that had set in lavender eyes with spots of blue. He had amazingly protruded Native American features that told everyone of his background.

They people already sitting were officially freaked. With a few exchanged looks around the table, it was determined that no one could get a read on these people. No soul, no aura, no smell, no nothing. “Fox what do you sense about these people?” Hiei spoke quietly into Kurama’s mind. “Nothing.” he replied back, pondering it with Yoko for the last few minutes. “Exactly. Watch out.” Hiei warned before he cut off the connection. When they walked up to the Koema and bowed, growls erupted around the table, everyone feeling threatened. At least the people already here were demon or human, no one knew what these things were.

Yuuske could not take it anymore. “Who the hell are they and why wont shorty guy take his damn hood off!” Honestly Yuuske was just curious as to what they were hiding under there. He assumed that the blonde buff guy was not the real leader at all but the short thing in the middle was the leader of…well…whatever they are.

The two men’s heads snapped towered Yuuske in unison and their eyes narrowed. Suddenly a sound rang through the room and everyone’s eyes drooped sleepily. It was like wind whistling through trees and the sun shining on singing birds. After a dazed second, one by one, the warriors realized it was coming from…the guy in the middle?! The guys hand came up and pulled down his hood.

It took a second before everyone’s head caught up with them and their only thoughts were:
“It’s not a guy…”
“It’s a girl…”
“Omg she’s…beautiful…”
And of course the only thought said out loud was…
“KAGOME?!?!”

The boys, and everyone else for that matter were blown away by the girl that stood before them. She was small, with long blue-black hair that flowed in long waves around her face and shoulders. Her eyes were stunning; a piercing slate gray with hints of gold flecked throughout them. A dainty nose and pale pink lips where the brightest features on her celestial face. A dainty facial structure, shaped and edged like royalty held an air of superiority with elegantly high check bones and a pointed jaw. But the most striking part of her head that separated her from her companions was the silver chain that dropped across her forehead, studded with blood red and black crystals and moving, mixing teardrop that dipped over the bridge of her nose that contained both colors.

She pulled down her hood with a quick swipe and her eyes found the boy that yelled out. “I’ll assure you, Sir, that I am no man.” when she spoke the people in the room froze, but mostly Yuuske. Her voice was like silk, but it demanded power in quiet volumes. She spoke evenly, words flowing from her in waves. Yuuske had a hard time looking her in the eye but couldn’t help but stare. His throat closed and he found himself unable to think of a smart come back. He was not the only one though. The only person that could find their voice was….

“Kagome! My woman! You have come from heaven because you knew we could not do this without you! You are amazing baby, how are you?!” Within seconds the wolf was up and out of his seat embracing the fragile women. A muffled “Hello Koga…” came from the woman that was currently smashed improperly to the taller man’s chest. Immediately, two hands griped the wolf’s shoulders and his grip on the small woman loosened before he was thrown across the room with a “BOOM“ into the furthers wall. Kagome whirled on her blonde comrade and her pretty face drew into a cold look and when they locked eyes a silent conversation passed within their eyes before Kagome looked away and regained her serene exposure once again. Her eyes fell upon the wolf who was slowly getting up, covered in dirt and debris from the wall. “Koga we continue after the meeting.” she promised with a smile and without another word sat herself down in the middle seat. Her comrades took seats beside her and all of them unhooked their cloaks and draped it behind them on their chairs. Everyone sat in silence as they did this, most of them too awed by the woman to speak. “Now, since many of you do not know each other, let us start by introducing everyone. Now starting with Mr. Eilif, here on my immediate left,” Koema said, pointing to the blonde haired leader that came in with Kagome. “He is a hell keeper warrior, from dimension seven. The lady beside him is the hell keeper’s queen, Lady Kagome, and Hoavi also a keeper warrior.” All three nodded their heads respectively as they were introduced, and before Koema could continue, Kurama’s quiet voice spread through the room, halting Koema’s introduction. “Koema-sama what is a hell keeper and what do you mean dimension 7?” Koema paused, and shot a nervous look between Kagome and Kurama. Kagome had her eyes trained on Kurama, and his on her. “That is to be discussed once we decide rather or not we are going to help your people out.” she clipped smoothly, smiling in a dangerous kind of way. A shiver ran down Kurama’s spine but he held his ground. “ I refuse to start a meeting not knowing who or what I am talking to.” he clipped back just as coldly, Yoko’s gold eyes flashing haphazardly. “Well I do not think you need to know at this very moment fox, so I suggest that you sit back, relax, and wait until I deem you worthy.” She said in finality and turned her attention back to Koema. Signaling her wish for him to continue introductions.

“How dare that queen bitch tell us we are not WORTHY! She doesn’t know who she’s talking to here!” Yoko snarled in the forefront of Kurama’s mind, mentally throwing a tantrum.

“Yoko I think that is the problem.” Kurama, the always rational one was peeved, but understood where the lady was coming from. It was no better then what they themselves would have done.

“would you like me to slit her throat fox?” Hiei piped in quietly, already ready to face this women that had came in and immediately began insulting his partner. Hiei could stand most insults thrown his way….but that person was killed for it at a later date. This women, queen or not, would be no exception.

“Yes!”

“No!”

“You should let him red. If he doesn’t we WILL!”

“No we will NOT. Do not even go there with me Yoko, your pride is just hurt. Stop acting like a child.”

Yoko receded into the back of their mind, sulking. Hiei however, continued to glare at the angel before them. She sat waiting patiently glancing at each of the spirit detectives as they where introduced. First Yuuske, then Kuwabara, who both greeted then enthusiastically. She however just nodded her head and smiled serenely. Hiei’s eyes narrowed. He did not like her, and did not trust her. She seemed too….nice. There was something to odd about her. And how did that wolf know her. Come to think of it…recognition shown on quite a few faces… accept the spirit detectives and the people we knew. His eyes narrowed even more. Why was he left out of the loop?? When Kurama’s name was called, and Yoko was explained, he noticed her sincerely compassionate look never faltered, despite their previous tiff. When his name was called, he double his glare and looked her directly in the eyes, challenging her to continue smiling. Yet, she did and never even blinked. This infuriated him, he wanted to watch her shrink in fear. Yet the introductions continued and his glaring and anger were forgotten, by everyone but him.

“Beside Hiei is Lord Shippo, as many of you know and beside him is Lord Sesshomaru and his daughter Lady Rin. Beside her is Lord Koga and his tribe leaders Ginta and Hakkaku. Many of you know them already, as many of you have either heard of the Lords and Ladies of Makai, or have had…personal relationships with them before. Now, beside them is master Jin and master Touya, Rinku-san and Chu-san.” Here, Koema paused to take a breath and see if anyone had something to say. Everyone’s eyes however, where glued on the introduced persons, sizing each other up like everyone was shopping for meat. the tension was high and for the first time Koema realized how hard it was going to be trying to get these people to work together. Clearing his throat he continued. “And beside him is Master Naraku, Lady Kagura and Master Muso. On the other side of the table there is three of the seven brothers; Bankotsu, Jakotsu and Renkotsu, master Inyasha, Lady Sango and Miroku-sama, master Hiten Master Kuronue
lady Kikyo and last but not least, Miss Botan, my lovely assistant.” Taking a deep breath Koema inspected the damage. Yes, it was just as he expected. Everyone was glaring at each other. Knowing most everyone hated each other at the table did not help to calm his nerves. “now, as we all know, anyone that was brought fro the under world is under oath. Attacking anyone, in any way, that is not the enemy will result in automatic extermination of your body by instantaneously turning to dust. That includes INTENT TO KILL!” Koema’s suddenly loud voice brought all eyes back up to him. “Now is there any questions?” after a brief moment of silence Koema signed again. “Well then. Lets get down to business shall we?” with that, Koema sat himself down and began explaining the situation.
