InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ A Light amongst the Darkness ❯ The Four Items of Darkness ( Chapter 16 )
A/N: First off I want to thank-you the people who reviewed, especially kikyo_killer and Krystal, because of your reviews it made me see that some people in this world are assholes who could care less about the feelings of others. I have met this people before in real life and I have always talked right back to them. It is a lot harder to yell back when it is writing and you don't get the chance to say something back. Well I will be saying something back and it is a very simple comment. GROW UP!!!
A/N: With that said I finally finished this chapter this afternoon, after I read the comments of my reviewers. This chapter is nice and long because a lot needed to happen before I get to the next chapter. This chapter has a slight rape scene, war scenes, and language. Enjoy ^_^ Huggles Tal
Chapter Sixteen
The Four Items of Darkness
Kagome watched as Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru gave their blood to Yuki-chan. Kagome couldn't believe the power that she was feeling coming off the three of them. Yuki-chan pulled away from Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru and started to pulsate. A wave of energy flew off of Yuki-chan and Kagome watched the waves fly across the meadow and towards the border of the village and the forest. Something flashed in the under brush of the forest. Kagome took a few steps towards it trying to figure out what it was.
Kagome tried to focus her powers on it but with the power coming off of Yuki-chan she couldn't even feel Inuyasha and he was but a few feet away from her. Suddenly the object that Kagome was trying to figure out came flying out of the brush and straight at her. Kagome knew what it was but it was coming to fast at her. Kagome turned around and screamed for Inuyasha.
"Inuyasha!" Kagome watched as Inuyasha turned around and she saw the look of horror on his face. Kagome looked down and saw the bone sickle and chain come flying around her left side and wrap once around her waist. Suddenly Kagome felt a huge jolt from the chain and doubled over. She fell hard to ground as the chain was once again jolted and she felt herself being dragged across the ground.
Kagome watched as Inuyasha ran after her and she tried to grab anything that would stop or at least slow her down. Kagome was becoming more and more frightened and panic was evident on her face. Inuyasha wasn't gaining any ground and Kagome could feel the ground becoming uneven as she was dragged towards the forest. She suddenly felt the power of the kekkai and knew in her heart that it would not be completed in time nor would Inuyasha make it to her in time.
Kagome watched in horror as Inuyasha lunged forward as she was pulled into the forest and the kekkai closed her off from him. Kagome barely heard Inuyasha yelling from the kekkai as she was dragged further into the forest by the chain around her waist. Kagome screams out in pain as her left femur came into contact with a large oak and an echoing crack rang throughout the forest. I think… no I know that I just broke my leg. Kagome was concentrating her power on her leg so much that she didn't even notice that she was now coming to a stop in a very large clearing.
With one last jolt from the chain Kagome came to a rolling stop and winced out in pain from her broken leg. Kagome could feel someone slowly pulling the chain off her waist and looked up into the cold emotionless blank eyes of Kohaku. Light bruising was already evident on her stomach from the chain.
"Kohaku-kun…"
Kagome watched as Kohaku knelt down and gently cupped her cheek. "Kohaku? No my dear Sacred Miko I am not Kohaku."
Kagome instantly felt a cold chill run through her body at the sound of the voice. It was not the voice of Naraku or Kohaku but the voice of someone who was pure evil who was pure darkness. Kagome pulled away and glared at Kohaku. "Then who are you and what do you want with me?"
"I was once none known as the Lord of Darkness but now I reside in a crystal prison," Kohaku came forward and grabbed a hold of Kagome's shoulders and brought her into a sitting position. Kagome cringed in pain but couldn't move because of the tight hold on her. "But now that I have you I will be free. Free from the hell that I was imprisoned in over sixty years ago. I will once again be able to breathe the air, feel the earth, and live for the pain and chaos of the world. And you my beauty will be the one to free me. I only wish I could… how should I but it… awe.. prepare you."
Kagome didn't like the sound of that. Kagome tried again to pull away from Kohaku but he held on tighter to her. Kagome was letting out muffled screams as she fought to get free. The movements were causing extreme pain in her leg and every time she cried out the shadows would swirl and hiss in pleasure. Kohaku turned his head to the shadows and smirked.
"Soon my precise beings of the dark soon," he turned his head back to Kagome and the look on his face drained the very heat from Kagome's body.
"What are… what are you planning on doing to me? You must realize that whatever it is I will never help unseal you. I would sooner die then help you!"
Kohaku started to laugh as he floated into the air, bringing Kagome with him, his head fell back as his laugh became deeper and more menacing. "You will wish you were dead after my minion Naraku gets done with you." Kohaku looked into Kagome's eyes. "Once your innocence is taken I will be free to walk this world. I will find my Sorano and she will be mine."
"My innocence…" Kagome's eyes bulged, "You can't mean…. You sick bastard!" Kagome used her good leg to kick Kohaku in the shin. It had the desired effect but since they were floating and Kohaku let go off her she fell to ground hard. And without two good legs to land on she fell to ground in a heap.
Kagome started to crawl away but was soon grabbed by the ribbons of the Tsunio and hung up before Kohaku let a puppet. Kagome squirmed and flung herself but all it managed to do was make it so that the Tsunio had a better hold on her. Kagome soon couldn't even move and Kohaku floated down and was staring into her face.
"I am going to enjoy listening to your screams while Naraku has his way with you. Such a fiery spirit. I just wish it was going to be me that ripped your world apart." Kohaku reached out and gently stroked her cheek. Kagome turned her head away from Kohaku.
"If you do that to me then you will never be free! I will not help you now and if you think that after that I will help you then you are one crazy youkai!" Kohaku reached out and forced Kagome to look at him.
"I suppose you know that you must remain pure of body, mind, and soul to unseal Sorano," I do?! I never knew that! "By the look on your face I am taking it that you didn't know that. Well since you are trying to unseal a youkai of light the miko that unseals her must be pure like light. However to unseal me you must be in turmoil and in chaos in the mind…" Kohaku gently ran his hand through her hair, "soul…" He ran his hand gently over the crystal jewel of her armor, "and your body…" Kagome cringed as he ran his hand down her chest plate and came to stop just below her naval.
"NO! I won't let you!" Kagome tried again to escape but the Tsunio came flying out of the trees and started to completely cover Kagome. She was slowly become colder and colder as the Tsunio wrapped around her entire body.
"You won't have a choice. I look forward to you screams my Sacred Miko."
"INUYASHA!" Kagome's whole body was covered in the ribbons of the Tsunio as she fell into darkness.
***
Kagome suddenly woke up and found herself lying in the woods. The sun was shining over head and the birds were chirping in the trees. Kagome looked around and everything was at a total peace. Kagome slowly pushed herself into a sitting position and looked around the area. Well it looks like the area that I was in before. But this place feels so safe and so calm. It is like I am in a dream.
"A memory more like."
Kagome stifled a scream at the sudden sound. Kagome slowly started to stand but found that her legs were unable to move. "Who's there?"
Suddenly a light burst forth before her. Kagome shielded her eyes as the light formed into a large sakura coloured orb. It descended to the earth and slowly started to form into the shape a person. Kagome knew this light. The light gently touched down in the shape of a beautiful youkai female. Her long white golden hair billowing and blowing in the wind. Kagome lowered her hand and smiled. "Sorano."
The youkai smiled and walked towards Kagome. Kagome felt a sense of security wash over her as Sorano came closer to her. "My dear Kagome. I have brought you to one of my memories to save you from the tortures of the Tsunio. I too know the horrors that the Tsunio can project into the mind. You are still not aware of your powers enough to block them out."
Sorano stopped in front of Kagome and in one fluid movement knelt down in front of her. Kagome couldn't take it anymore. They were going to torture and rape her, all so that they could unseal Ryuzaburo. She felt the little hope that she was holding onto ebb away from her.
"Kagome you must not give up hope! Please Kagome you can not let them win!"
Kagome could feel tears at the corner of her eyes. She couldn't hold onto hope. How could she when no one was going to help her and now she was being taken to Ryuzaburo so that she could unseal him. "Oh Sorano!" Kagome lunged forward and wrapped her arms around Sorano's torso.
Sorano gently wrapped her arms around Kagome and held her close. Sorano ran her hands, in small circles, over her back as she hummed a sweet song. Kagome was fighting to keep back the tears when the sound of Sorano's humming hit her ears and warmth spread throughout her body, it was like drinking warm cocoa after playing in snow.
"Kagome please listen to me. Ryuzaburo needs you to be tainted in order for him to be unsealed and I need you to be pure. Remember Kagome that nothing can hurt you when you have hope and you have faith in the one that you care about the most."
Kagome sniffed a few times and pulled back just enough to look into the concerned filled face of Sorano. "I don't see how I am going to have hope and faith in someone when I know that I am not going to be saved. Inuyasha was stopped by the kekkai and you are still sealed away."
Sorano gently wiped away the stray tears that had made their way down Kagome's cheeks. "Kagome, hope and faith are not always physically proven to be true. For all hope and faith is is an emotion that our souls create and are hearts make real. As long as you have these unwavering feelings nothing can stop you and nothing can hurt you. Mine were put to the test long ago and only through suffering did I realize that how important those emotions and feelings were to me. How they saved my life in more ways then one."
Kagome let her head fall onto Sorano's chest as her words washed over her. She was wise and yet Kagome couldn't seem to bring herself to believe that she would be strong enough to stop what was evidently going to happen once she was taken to where ever it was that Naraku was at. And Kagome had a sinking feeling that Inuyasha was not going to be able to save this time.
"You still doubt yourself Kagome." Kagome looked up once again at Sorano. She stated this as a fact and not a question. Kagome closed her eyes and nodded. "Then let me show you my memory of the day I lost hope and faith and the day that I found it again."
Kagome opened her eyes and looked at Sorano. Sorano smiled as she waved her hand and mist started to roll in from the trees. The mist pooled to the left of Kagome and Sorano and slowly branched its way up and formed it's self into a large circle. Sorano waved her hand again and slowly the mist started to solidify itself into the same material that the Gauntlet of Wind was made of.
Kagome gasped as the once mist was now a giant mirror standing before them. "How did you…" Sorano smiled at Kagome and simply stated, "You are in my memory Kagome and as such I am the master of this realm. I was faced many times with horrors that one can only image during the war of darkness. I only lost my way once and I am going to show it to you now." Sorano turned to the mirror and snapped her fingers. The mirror flashed a bright sakura colour as Kagome felt herself being drawn into the depths of the mirror.
~~~~~~~
Sorano ran full out through the forest. She was panting and sweat glistened her body. How could I have been so naive to think that Hitomi was truly in danger when she said that she would not Sesshoumaru's side. I'll never make it back in time now. What hope is there left… Sorano was brought out of her thoughts after wave upon wave of Tsunio shot towards her. Sorano stopped dead in her tracks as a ribbon of shadows shot across her path and she flipped over it as another attacked from the side. Sorano landed gracefully and lunged forward and back into a full speed run.
The Tsunio had been chasing her for over two days now and no how much she tried to call out to Sesshoumaru he never heard her or felt her plea for help. She had lost all hope and faith in her future mate as she once again dodged a ribbon of darkness that ripped the tree, where she was running moments earlier, in two. The ground gave an all mighty shake and Sorano stumbled and ran into a tree to stop herself from falling over.
Sorano clung to the tree as the earth shook again. She was panting and gasping for air as she clung to the tree for some sort of security. However this was not to last. A sudden shift in the wind alerted Sorano and she leapt into the branches of the tree as two ribbons of the Tsunio, coming from opposite directions, came crashing into the trunk of the tree she was clinging to. The tree swayed and then finally gave into gravity as Sorano leapt to the branches of the trees next to her. The tree crashed into the ground sending dirt, dust and leaves billowing into the air.
Sorano didn't have time to catch her breath as the Tsunio were flying at her once again. Sorano turned sharply and narrowly dodged a ribbon as it streaked right at her. She jumped into a higher branch and lunged to the next tree as the ribbon curved and came back at her, perfectly cutting the branch like a razor sharp katana. Sorano glanced back as the ribbons started to come straight at her once again. She knew that the trees would give her some coverage as the ribbons lost momentum as they sliced through the thick branches of the ancient trees.
Sorano didn't know how much more of this she could take. She was never going to make it into the Western Lands alive. She had been running for what felt like an entirety. Sorano leaped through the air and grabbed onto the branch of an old birch tree. From the momentum of her running she swung around it. With her free hand she balled it into a fist and started to mutter something under her breath. Her hand started to glow as she swung herself into a one-handed hand stand on the branch of the birch. Sorano opened eyes and watched as the Tsunio merged together and came right at her. Sorano pushed off the branch and flipped into an upright position as the Tsunio curved up to come crashing down upon her.
Sorano yelled out an ancient language as the Tsunio closed in on her. She thrust her fisted hand forward and opened her hand to the Tsunio. The Tsunio didn't even have a chance to react as Sorano's attack engulfed the Tsunio in an intense burst of sakura light. Shrieks and hisses rang out throughout the forest as Sorano struggled to keep the attack going. Soon the forest was a glow with the energy of her attack. The Tsunio were vanishing in wisps of black mist. Sorano fell to her knees heaving from her attack. The Tsunio were gone, for now, and Sorano knew that they would be back soon.
"No rest for the weary." Sorano stood up weakly and turned around. With one last glance over her shoulder she leapt to the next tree and started her quest once again into the Western Lands. Sorano had barely gone seven trees when the earth shook so bad that the tree branch that Sorano was aiming for swayed and she missed it by a foot and was sent plummeting to the ground. Sorano was so weak that she missed judged the landing and crashed into the ground and rolled a few feet.
Sorano laid where she was and willed everything to stop and let her rest. The world was spinning from her exhaustion and darkness was creeping into the corners of her eyes. Sorano shook it off and slowly pulled herself so that she was sitting on all fours. The sweat was rolling off of her and her bangs were sticking to her forehead.
"Has the great and powerful Youkai of Light exhausted all her powers already?"
Sorano's eyes shot open at the sound of the voice. She lifted her head shakily to look at the source of the voice. Not him… anyone but him… Sorano's eyes slowly came into contact with the deep violet eyes of the man that was speaking. Sorano jumped up, with much protest from her body, and squared off against the man before her.
"Ryuzaburo!"
Ryuzaburo smirked at Sorano and it sent shivers down her spine. He took a step closer to her and Sorano took a step back. "You know Sorano that you can not escape me. You belong to me and as such you should come willingly to me now." Ryuzaburo extended a hand to Sorano. "Now my Lady come to me."
Sorano looked at his hand and then at his face. Is this really the only chance I have to survive? Sorano held out her right hand and looked at it. A small thin white scar ran across her palm. Sorano looked at her hand and then at the hand that Ryuzaburo was holding out to her. Sesshoumaru where are you? I need you!
"I will never belong to you!" Sorano turned quickly and took off with a new found strength and speed. She could hear Ryuzaburo cursing behind her as she ran full out. The trees started to thin and a small smile graced Sorano's tired sweat beaded face. She was nearly out of the woods and beyond the woods was the border to the Western Lands. Sorano yelled out in a pain as something grazed her cheek. Suddenly she could something warm running down her cheek.
Sorano reached up as she ducked under a low hanging branch and felt blood running down her cheek. "The Tsunio… they are back already… what hope is there left for me…" Sorano looked up and could see the meadows that laid just beyond the woods, "Sesshoumaru why did you not come…"
Sorano felt the ribbons of the Tsunio coming at her again as she leapt through the last remaining trees and landed in the meadow. Sorano looked up and saw the first army marching towards her. The army of the Western Lands. Sorano sighed a breath of relief as the army thundered across the meadow.
Sorano stood up and a flash of silver caught her eye. A smile spread across her face as her eyes came to focus on the man that the silver belonged to. "Sesshoumaru…" The earth started to rumble and Sorano stumbled forward trying to keep her exhausted body standing. Sorano turned her gaze from Sesshoumaru back to the forest as a wall of darkness exploded from the forest and started to rain down upon Sorano.
Sorano skipped forward and dodged the first few ribbons of the Tsunio as she started to run towards Sesshoumaru and the army. Sorano ran as fast as her body could and saw that Sesshoumaru had run forward and was coming towards her as well. They were only about hundred feet away from each other. Sorano inhaled deeply and could smell Sesshoumaru.
Sorano raised her hand towards Sesshoumaru and suddenly his expression changed from joy to panic. Sorano glanced over her shoulder and barely saw the Tsunio before she was pulled into them and out of Sesshoumaru's out stretched hand. Sorano screamed as the Tsunio wrapped themselves around her and pulled her back into the wall of darkness. Sesshoumaru yelled out as the Tsunio charged at him.
Suddenly someone grabbed Sesshoumaru around the middle and leapt out of the way of the Tsunio. Sesshoumaru fought against the unknown force that was dragging him back.
"Let me go!" yelled Sesshoumaru as he glanced over his shoulder. However when his eyes met amber eyes Sesshoumaru's eyes widened. "Chichiue?!"
The man, who looked remarkably like Sesshoumaru, released him and turned his gaze to the heavens. Sesshoumaru followed the man's gaze and he felt his youkai blood start to boil. A growl reverberated throughout Sesshoumaru's chest as his golden eyes stared into the cold violet eyes of the man floating in midair.
"I did not expect the Great Taiyoukai to come out to meet me as well. I was only expecting the young Sesshoumaru to meet me on such a glorious day." The Tsunio that were gathered below him shot up and formed into an orb of darkness. The orb melted away and revealed the limp form of Sorano. Sesshoumaru growled even more deeply as Ryuzaburo floated forward and picked Sorano up bridal style and held her close to him.
"You are not welcome here Ryuzaburo. These are my lands and Sorano is a youkai of the Western Lands and as such you are to return her to me at once." Sesshoumaru could feel the powerful youki coming off the Taiyoukai.
"I am not welcome am I? Sorano is a member of the Western Lands? She is a youkai of the Light and as such she is not a member of this world. She belongs to me and I will have her now." Ryuzaburo leaned down and whispered something into her ear. Sesshoumaru watched as a single tear ran down her cheek and Ryuzaburo smirked.
"She has lost all hope and faith in the people of the Western Lands. You would be wise Taiyoukai to just give up like the other lands and join me. This world is meant to bath in chaos and misery. Join me!"
Sesshoumaru raised his right hand and looked at the scar that donned his right palm. I am truly sorry my Sorano. I was not there for you when you needed me the most and now you have lost your hope and faith in our people… in me… Sorano believe me when I say that I wanted to come to you when you called out to me. I could not as Ryuzaburo was attacking our borders and I could not get away. I would give you all the hope that I have and all the faith I possess for you to come back to me… Sesshoumaru looked up at the limp form of Sorano and closed his eyes. I need you too…
A deafening yell echoed throughout the land and Sesshoumaru opened his eyes and looked for the source of the yell. It was coming from Ryuzaburo. Sesshoumaru felt a sudden warm in his palm and it spread throughout his body like wild fire. Arigato Sesshoumaru… Sesshoumaru grinned as he heard Sorano whisper to his mind.
The clearing exploded in a sakura colour light as Sorano's youki filled the area. Ryuzaburo yelled out as he was burned by the light and dropped Sorano. Sorano fell but a few feet and stopped in midair. Her small body was pulsating from her youki as it destroyed all the Tsunio in the area.
"Hope, Ryuzaburo, is not something to be taken lightly. Remember that well," The Taiyoukai drew out his sword, "Attack!"
~~~~~~
Kagome opened her eyes and looked at Sorano. She was smiling slightly at her. "You lost your hope and faith and Sesshoumaru gave you his."
"You are partially correct Kagome. Sesshoumaru told me why he could not be there for me and I felt the truth in his words. I knew that he wanted to come to my aid more then anything but the Taiyoukai needed Sesshoumaru to help guard and defend the borders of the Western Lands. I got my hope and faith back by believing in Sesshoumaru and the people of the Western Lands. They would never give up and I could not either.
`Kagome you must never give up. No matter what happens always have faith and hope in the people you love and cherish. Like the Taiyoukai said `hope is not something to be taken lightly.' No matter how dark things get and no matter what you are faced with you must remember to keep your hope."
Sorano started to vanish and Kagome started to grab onto her trying to make her stay. "Sorano don't leave me!!!"
"I will always be with you Kagome. You all but need to call out my name I will come to you."
Sorano smiled one last time as she vanished. The whole area started to turn to darkness as if the sun was setting. Slowly the trees started to vanish as the darkness ebbed its way into the memory that Kagome was sitting in.
"I will remember what you told me Sorano. I will not lose to them. Inuyasha I will believe you. I love you too much to have a single doubt."
Kagome closed her eyes as she was sucked into darkness.
***
Aiko had convinced everyone to come back to the temple as there was nothing that any of them could do at the time. Inuyasha was getting more then a little pissed off with everyone for being so calm about the whole thing. But what was bothering Inuyasha the most was that Yuki-chan and Aiko were talking in a strange language that no one could understand. Well everyone except Sesshoumaru. Every once a while he would say something in the language and Yuki-chan and Aiko would be quiet as if they were thinking and then they would continue on.
Inuyasha closed his eyes as another wave of panic and fear washed over him. He had finally figured out that these feeling were from Kagome and the bond that they had. But it was getting weaker and weaker by the minute. It was as if the bond that they had was slowly vanishing and the harder Inuyasha tried to hold onto it the more it would slip away.
Inuyasha opened his eyes and yelled out, "Yuki-chan I have enough! Why the hell can't we go through the kekkai! I don't want to hear about the sun's rays hitting the kekkai again. Kagome is in danger and I want to go and get her back!"
Yuki-chan turned and faced Inuyasha. She sighed and stated, "Inu-chan I have told you before that we can not go through the kekkai and it has not changed since then. I am a kitsune but I am also a light youkai. In order for the kekkai to stay permanently the sun's rays need to touch it so that the light youki that is within the kekkai will be strengthened. I understand you want to go to Kagome-chan but she is not in danger."
Inuyasha got up and walked over to Yuki-chan, "Can you remove it before the sun's rays hit it?"
"Well yes I can but I will not. Hitomi-chan spoke of this story long ago and I know that Kagome-chan is in no real danger."
Inuyasha knelt down before Yuki-chan. "Hitomi told you a story about this?"
Yuki-chan turned around and faced Inuyasha. "Yup Hitomi-chan used to tell me stories all the time. She said on the day of my awakening that the Sacred Miko would be taken away by the Tsunio and taken to the Mountain of Darkness where she will be forced to unseal Ryuzaburo. She said that the Sacred Miko would have to face her fears and over come them or she will be tainted and fall into Darkness. She also said that the one that she loves the most will not be able to make it to her in time and that she will have to face this on her own."
Inuyasha cocked an eyebrow, "What do you mean tainted and fall into Darkness."
"Well Inu-chan the Sacred Miko is meant to be pure in order to unseal Sorano-sama but in order to unseal Ryuzaburo she must be impure. They will have to force her body mind and soul to become tainted and churned with turmoil if she is to unseal Ryuzaburo."
Inuyasha felt the blood leave his face. Then that means that she will be… "Yuki-chan why the hell didn't you say anything sooner!" Inuyasha lunged forward and grabbed Yuki-chan by her collar.
Suddenly Inuyasha was thrown back from Yuki-chan. Inuyasha looked around and saw that Sesshoumaru was standing between himself and Yuki-chan. "What the hell gives Sesshoumaru!"
"You will not touch Yuki-chan in that manor again Inuyasha. She is to be protected at all times and if you touch her again like that I will be forced to harm you." Inuyasha was more confused then ever. What the fuck was that about! Sesshoumaru is now taking care of this youkai! Inuyasha jumped up and started to growl at Sesshoumaru. Sesshoumaru, keeping his cold exterior, started to growl back at Inuyasha.
Yuki-chan jumped up and placed herself between Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru. "Inu-chan! Maru-chan! You both need to just cool down. Hitomi-chan also said that only one thing will save her and if her faith and hope in this person is pure she will be fine. So we must all believe in Kagome-chan and she will be fine."
"Who is this person?" Inuyasha, still glaring at Sesshoumaru, asked.
"I thought that that would be obvious. As long as the bond holds true there is nothing to worry about. And since Sorano-sama is taking care of Kagome-chan there is differently nothing to worry about." Yuki-chan sat down and started to talk once again with Aiko. Sesshoumaru did a double take and looked at Yuki-chan.
"Did you just say that Sorano was with Kagome and she was taking care of her?" Sesshoumaru knelt down and looked at Yuki-chan.
"Yup Maru-chan I did. Sorano-sama is a lot stronger now that the gauntlet of wind has been unsealed and since Kagome-chan wears the armor of light Sorano-sama can go and see her through her thoughts and dreams. Sorano-sama will help Kagome-chan and then Kagome-chan will get the second item of darkness."
Inuyasha `Kehed' and walked back over to the wall and sat down. He crossed his arms over his chest and sunk back into his thoughts. Kagome I will always be here for you. I believe in you. I need you. Don't give up. Inuyasha thoughts were interrupted by the giggling of Rin.
"Rin wants to know why Yuki-chan calls Sesshoumaru-sama Maru-chan?"
Yuki-chan tilted her head and looked at the young laughing girl. "Why do I call Maru-chan Maru-chan? His name was to hard to pronounce when I first can to this realm and even with Maru-chan and Sorano-sama trying to teach me to say his name I couldn't say it right. So Maru-chan is now Maru-chan."
Rin started to giggle again and so did Shippo. Inuyasha looked around and saw that Sango and Miroku were trying there best not to laugh as well but it was not working to well. Inuyasha glanced at Sesshoumaru and nearly died of shock. A small smile was upon Sesshoumaru's face as he watched Rin, Yuki-chan and Shippo playing on the floor.
"What the hell have I gotten myself into…" muttered Inuyasha.
***
Kagome slowly opened her eyes and tried to look around. She was completely surrounded in darkness. She was laying on a cold hard surface as far as she could tell. Her head was killing her and her leg was throbbing. Kagome slowly sat up and heard the clinking of metal on metal. Something was strapped to her wrists and her ankles. Kagome slowly pulled her wrist to her eyes and they widened in shock. She was in iron shackles, in a room where she could barely see her hand in front of her face, and her leg was killing her.
A cruel cold laugh washed over Kagome and she shivered. She knew that laugh and it could only belong to one person. "I was starting to wonder when you were going to wake up my dear Kagome. I was starting to think that you were not going to wake until the sun came over the horizon."
Kagome started to search the area of the room. She knew that Naraku was in the room. She could sense him but she didn't know where he was. "Where am I?"
"You are in the Mountain of Darkness and it is the last place you will ever see." Kagome screamed as she felt two hands grab onto her shoulders and turn her around. A jolt of pain shot through her as her leg was forced to turn into a position that was pinching her nerves.
Kagome glared into the red eyes of Naraku as he smirked at her. Naraku's eyes traveled up and down Kagome's body and Kagome glared at Naraku. "You are quiet beautiful Kagome. You look so much like Kikyo." Kagome cringed at the name.
"I am nothing like Kikyo. I never was like her!" Kagome stiffened as Naraku ran a clawed finger across her cheek.
"I am going to enjoy hearing you scream Kagome. I wonder if you will sound like Kikyo when you scream in pain."
Kagome pushed at Naraku but he was to strong for her as he pushed her down hard on the cold floor. Kagome's head came in contact with the floor and little white stars danced across her vision. Suddenly blue white flames burst to life and Kagome could see every detail of Naraku. He was pinning her to the ground and was straddling her hips. He was wearing only a kimono and it was loosely tied closed. It was open at the top revealing a large portion of his chest. He was staring at Kagome will hunger in his eyes.
"No one is going to save you this time Kagome. I am going to make you scream." He put more pressure on Kagome's hips as she tried to buck him off. "You will never get away from me. You are mine and only mine. How I have wanted to see your face twisted in agony and your soul corrupted."
Kagome raised her hands and tried to push Naraku off of her but he caught her hands and pinned them both above her head. Kagome wasn't planning on giving up at easily. She squirmed and bucked and yelled at Naraku to get off of her. Naraku brought both of her wrists together and held them down with one hand.
"I was informed about your armor Kagome and I must say that it is very alluring. But it is just in my way and it needs to go." Kagome watched Naraku placed his hand over the jewel on her chest. He closed his eyes as his youki started to flare out. Kagome cried out in pain as Naraku forced his youki into her armor and she felt it start to vanish.
The pain was beyond anything that she had ever felt before. Kagome screwed her eyes shut as she fought of the youki that was eating away at her armor. "You shouldn't fight me Kagome. It will only make it worse."
"Go! To! Hell!" Kagome yelled out as another wave of his youki shot into her armor and Kagome felt it melt away completely as the comfortable weight of her armor vanished. Kagome opened her eyes, panting from the pain and trying to stop Naraku, and glared at the smirking youkai above her.
"Your screams are music to my ears Kagome." Naraku leaned down and was but a few inches from Kagome's face. She quickly turned her head away and earned a snicker from Naraku. Naraku reached up and grabbed her chin and forced her to look at him. "The more you resist the more I enjoy this." Naraku leaned down and licked Kagome's cheek. Kagome cringed and closed her eyes.
When Naraku let go oh her chin and she looked away. "I have heard about your clothing as well. That it is un rip able and un tear able. But without this necklace…" Naraku reached down and gripped her necklace in his hand. "It is easily removable." With that said Naraku ripped the necklace off of Kagome and threw it into a corner of the room. Kagome felt her clothing loosen like it did in her time when she was getting ready to have a shower.
Kagome was in a blind panic now. Naraku was going to rape her and she wasn't strong enough to stop him. Naraku leaned down again and Kagome could feel his hot breath on her face. Naraku raised his hand and cupped her cheek. "I won't be gentle." Kagome's eyes widened in fear as Naraku crashed his lips upon hers. It was a forceful and bruising kiss. Kagome could feel the tears in the corner of her eyes. It was nothing like the kisses she had gotten from Inuyasha. Inuyasha's kisses were always so full of love and passion and Naraku's kiss was forceful and laced with hatred.
Naraku licked and nipped at Kagome's lower lip but she kept her mouth shut. She was not going to allow him into her mouth. Naraku pulled Kagome's lower lip into his mouth and bite down hard. Kagome cried out in pain and Naraku thrust his tongue into the deep recesses of Kagome's mouth. Kagome fought and squirmed under Naraku trying to get free.
Naraku finally broke from the kiss and licked his lips. Kagome could taste blood in her mouth from the cut on her lip that Naraku had given her. "You taste delicious Kagome. I wonder if all of you tastes like that." Kagome's eyes widened as Naraku leaned back down and started to attack her neck with open mouthed kisses. Kagome let the tears fall down her cheeks as she tried to get Naraku off of her.
"No… don't do this… stop…"
Naraku reached her pulse point and sucked the flesh into his mouth roughly. Kagome cried out as Naraku bite into her flesh. Naraku slowly ran his hand over Kagome's stomach and smirked at she cried for him to stop. Naraku let go of her neck and looked into her eyes. "I want you to scream for me Kagome." Naraku slid down Kagome's body and forced himself between her legs.
"NO! Don't! Stop!"
"I told you Kagome I want to hear you scream." Naraku ran a hand over the shackles that were binding Kagome's wrists and listened as Kagome screamed out as they were tightened and the chain was shortened. Naraku released her wrists and ran both his clawed hands down her arms. Kagome screamed out as Naraku used enough pressure to draw blood but didn't rip her sleeves.
"That's it Kagome scream for me!" Kagome screwed her eyes shut. She was bleeding from the trails that Naraku's claws made on her arms and they were sending shocks of pain throughout her body. Suddenly Kagome felt Naraku's hands on the hem of shirt. She opened her eyes just as Naraku pulled her shirt up and over her head, letting to come to rest at her wrists.
Kagome tried to turn her body away from Naraku but he placed his hands on her ribs and pushed her down. No this can not be happening! Inuyasha is the only one that can touch me… Inuyasha is the only one that I want seeing me… Inuyasha! Kagome closed her eyes and tried to think of only Inuyasha. Suddenly Kagome felt a hot breath on her ear and her eyes shot open.
"Inuyasha is not going to hear you. You are no longer bonded to him. Your aura and your physical marking of Inuyasha are both gone. You are mine to do with as I please and I am going to make you scream." Kagome yelled out as Naraku rolled his hips into her own, letting her feel what he was going to use to make her scream. "Now Kagome be a good girl and scream for me."
Naraku pulled his head away from Kagome's ear and smirked at her before he lowered his head to hover just over her left breast. Kagome could feel all the blood leaving her flesh as Naraku breathed hot short pants across her fleshy mound. Kagome screamed out when Naraku raised his hand and forcefully grabbed onto her right breast and squeezed it painfully tight. Using his thumb and index finger he beaded her nipple into a hard bud and pulled and tugged on it painfully.
Kagome twisted her body trying to pull away from Naraku but all that earned her was for Naraku to twist her breast. Kagome cringed when Naraku placed his mouth onto her other mound and pulled her nipple into his mouth. He ran his fang over it and smirked as it hardened even more in his mouth. Kagome couldn't believe the feeling. It actually didn't hurt and it was sending shivers throughout her body, even through she was trying her best to make it stop.
Naraku flashed his eyes up at Kagome and smirked against her flesh. Kagome burrowed her brows but suddenly it felt like her body was on fire as Naraku pulled a large amount of her breast into his mouth and sank his fangs deep into her flesh. Kagome screamed out in pain as Naraku increased the pressure. Kagome had screwed her eyes shut and soon was feeling her warm blood running down her breast, over her ribs, and then running along the hem of shorts.
Naraku let go and looked at Kagome. She was squirming in pain and she would every once in a while yelp at a movement that she would make. Naraku couldn't help but smile at her. "You have lost Kagome. There is no hope for you."
Hope… Kagome's eyes shot open at what Naraku said. Hope… Sorano said not to lose hope… Sorano said that I must believe in the ones that I love and cherish… Kagome blinked a few times as a strange light pulsated in the corner of the room. "What the hell is that light!" Naraku growled as he shielded his eyes from it. It was glowing a soft sakura colour. Kagome smiled as she remembered what Sorano had said to her.
"I will always be with you Kagome. You all but need to call out my name I will come to you," Kagome stated a loud as she looked at Naraku.
"What did you just say," Naraku was leaning down on Kagome again and his curtain of hair was blocking her necklace from view. Kagome grinned as she inclined her head and stared into the cold red eyes of Naraku. "I said, Sorano come to me!"
Naraku yelled out as the room exploded with sakura light. The torches of white blue light blew out as the room was completely filled with the light. Naraku stumbled off of Kagome and ran into the wall trying to shield his eyes from the light that surrounded them. Kagome closed her eyes and let the light wash over her. The pain was slowly going away and a strange cracking echoed off the walls.
Kagome opened her eyes and looked around. She saw that the shackles that were holding her down were braking and crumbling to the ground. With one finally crack the shackles fell off of Kagome's ankles and wrists. Kagome quickly sat up and pulled her shirt back down. Naraku was now huddled against the wall as the light burned his kimono and his flesh. Kagome grinned. I hope you like pain Naraku! Kagome jumped up, relieved that her leg was no longer broken, and walked over to the corner of the room that held her necklace.
"Arigato Sorano," Kagome said as she picked up the necklace and placed it around her neck. As she did this a voice rang into her head.
"Kagome we must leave this place at once. This is the home of the Tsunio and they will be coming for you. The exit is against the far east wall. We must hurry!" Kagome knew the voice belonged to Sorano.
Kagome nodded and ran towards the east wall and as she got nearer to it the wall seemed to push itself further and further back. Sorano didn't say anything so Kagome figured that she was still heading in the right direction. The wall changed from an off grey to a blackened hallway.
"Kagome head to your left the first chance you get!"
"Hai!" Just as Kagome said this she turned left and entered into another hallway that was a glow with the same white blue light that the room she was being kept in had.
"Kagome call forth your armor!" Kagome raised her hand to her armor and concentrated on it. She felt the warmth spread through her body as she flashed a bright fuchsia. Kagome glanced down and looked at her armor, a smile spreading across her face. Suddenly Kagome felt a presence beside her and she turned her head. Kagome nearly fell over at what she saw. It was Sorano. Or at least a memory of Sorano. Her whole body was lined with her sakura light and she was wearing the most beautiful armor Kagome had every seen.
Sorano smiled at Kagome. "The Fire Plate of Darkness is sealed within this mountain Kagome and you need to unseal it."
Sorano turned sharply and ran down a flight of stairs. Kagome turned and followed Sorano. "The Fire Plate is kept here?! How are we supposed to get it when this is the home of the Tsunio?"
"Well it isn't going to be easy but it most be done. Are you ready to give it a try Kagome?" Sorano looked at Kagome and Kagome smiled. "Hai!"
"Excellent!" Sorano jumped the last few steps and ran down the narrow hallway that was slowly slanting downwards. "Alright Kagome here's the plan."
***
Kagome remembered the plan. She smiled to herself because she was so nervous. If this worked they would have a window of about three minutes to unseal the fire plate, keep the Tsunio at bay, not damage the crystal that held Ryuzaburo and get out of the cave in one piece. Well at least Sorano believed that it could be done and Kagome had to believe that she could do this too.
Kagome stopped at the entrance to the circular room that held the crystal seal of Ryuzaburo. Kagome remembered back to what Sorano had told her.
~~~~~
"Now Kagome I want to wait at the entrance to the crystal chamber. Get your katana ready and when the room lights up I want you to run for the pillar in the middle of the room. Remember do not touch the crystal and do not look at the youkai within it. That is the seal of Ryuzaburo and no one is to touch it. Do you understand?"
"Hai! I will do my best," Sorano gently squeezed Kagome's shoulder as she took off in the opposite direction. "I can do this!" Kagome said to herself as she took off down the hall.
~~~~~
Kagome raised her hand and a flash of light exploded from the end of it. Kagome grabbed on it and felt her katana take shape. "Alright now I just wait for Sorano to…" Kagome never finished her sentence as the room flashed a bright sakura. Kagome ran from her hiding spot towards the stone pillar. Kagome screwed up her eyes against the screams, hisses, and shrieks that the Tsunio were making.
The Tsunio had jumped from the walls and were darting at Kagome. Kagome looked over her shoulder as one of the ribbons came flying at her. A rush of wind and the Tsunio was sliced in half and vanished in a wisp of smoke. "Go Kagome and don't look back. I will keep the Tsunio at bay. Hurry!" Kagome watched at Sorano twirled around and swung her blade up, slicing through another ribbon that was coming for Kagome's head.
Kagome didn't wait to be told twice. She turned around and ran the rest of the way to the pillar. Every once and a while a blur of sakura or a rush of wind would let Kagome know that Sorano had just sliced another Tsunio in half. Kagome was but a few feet away from the pillar now and she raised her katana into the air. Kagome slid to a stop before the pillar and placed her katana's tip at the opening in the top.
Again Kagome felt a strange power as the markings on her katana lit up and a strange language was spoken from Kagome. "Kudo mohonda kiebeth no Tsukiohasa!" As Kagome yelled out the last word she thrust her katana into the pillar and it exploded a deep red colour, sending pieces of stone everywhere, as Kagome ducked down.
A strange voice filled the air as Kagome looked up. Kagome watched as a streak of fuchsia light flew at her and Kagome knew that it was katana returning to her.
"This plate of fire will be a guardian of your heart. Though it was forged in the mountains of fire by the will of darkness it will protect you and give you passion and hope. Keep it with you at all times and it will never leave your side."
The light pulsated and formed into a bright red orb of light. The light floated down and Kagome reached up and grabbed it. It was warm to the touch and Kagome felt its passion and its hope radiating from it. Kagome placed the orb to the jewel on her chest plate and the orb vanished into her armor.
Kagome was brought back to reality as the Tsunio shrieked and screamed against the walls. Kagome felt someone or something grab her around her waist and pull her towards the exit. "I say that we have worn out our welcome Kagome." Kagome looked up into Sorano's smiling face.
"Sorano you look… I don't know how to put it… more solid?" Sorano smiled down at Kagome and flipped Kagome onto her back. Kagome shrieked and wrapped her legs around Sorano waist, making sure at to restrict her movement, and clung onto her shoulders.
"We have retrieved another item of the four items of Darkness. I am becoming more powerful in this world. I am able to stay like this a lot longer now."
Sorano ran down the hallway and Kagome looked up and saw day light. "Sorano look! It's day outside."
Sorano quickened her pace. "And we are heading home."
Kagome smiled as the wind whipped through her hair from the speed that Sorano was running. But a shriek that came from behind them wiped the smile off of Kagome's face. Kagome turned her head and saw hundreds upon hundreds of youkai coming towards them.
"Sorano the youkai of Naraku! They are coming after us!"

A/N: Oh my god that was a long chapter. I needed to get a lot into this chapter so that the story would be where I wanted it for the next chapter. I know that Sesshoumaru was a little OOC in this chapter but he was a nice and caring youkai at one time and I will be revealing what turned him so cold in future chapters. By the way for anyone who didn't know "Chichiue means Father in a very respected way" and Taiyoukai is Sesshoumaru's father. Taiyoukai means Great Demon.
A/N: Well I was on such a roll for this chapter that Chapter Seventeen will be out in a few days. Please review and let me know what you think. Oh yeah I only proof read this chapter. I didn't edit it. Linzee will be doing that later. Huggles Everyone!!! Tal ^_^
