Chapter 16

The Spar!

“Half-Demon, Do you really think you can beat me?” Kagome questioned while giving a blow to Inuyasha's right shoulder. “Don't think, just because you give me one tiny blow that I am going to give up.” He yelled while getting up. He kept on trying to cut her with his sword, but with no avail. “Damn! How are you so fast, your wielding a even bigger sword than me!?” He questioned. “A Lady of The Lands must always be on her guard, she must protect her people, and show everyone her strength to anyone that attacks her. You better shape up Inuyasha, I'm going easy on you.” She yelled to him as she skidded back from the sword clash. There Inuyasha stood, panting like crazy. `Damn, she starting to wear me out and she doesn't even have a scratch on her.' His thoughts were disrupted when she sheathed her sword. “Inuyasha, I am going to give you a break. I am starting to get board. Come on hit me with your best shot.” She told him. “Keh, you asked for it!” He raised his sword. “Wind Scar!” He yelled as he brought the sword down. The attack raced towards her. `Shit, why cant I move!' Kagome thought. Then all of the sudden a flashback was in her head.

*Flashback*

She quickly knocked the spear from Kikyous hand and ran. Inuyasha cornered her on a cliff with rushing rapids at its pit. The gang broke free of the soul collectors and ran to catch up. They found them moments later. With Kikyou staring at Inuyasha, who had Testsiga pointed at Kagome. “ Inu…yash….a please…LISTEN!!!” It was too late. “Wind Scar!” Inuyasha shouted. “ Kagome!” The group called after her. “ Good job Inuyasha!” Kikyou congratulated. “I love you Inuyasha.” Kagome said for only the one person that could hear it.

*End Flashback*

The Wind Scar hit her full blast. “Auntie!!!” Katera cried. The smoke soon cleared and no one was in sight. “Auntie? Where are you?!” Katera cried again. Then out of no where a arrow flew through the air and pinned Inuyasha' left sleeve to a tree. Three more shot out and pinned the remaining limbs to that tree also. He dropped Testsiga when his right arm was pinned. Kagome walked out holding her left arm. Her chest and arm were covered in blood. Her breathing was heavy. “Amazing, she survived the Wind Scar.” Miroku said in unison. “Spar is over your pinned half-breed and you will not be let down until I release you.” She said as she dropped to her knees. “Auntie!” Katera said as she raced forward, before a loud low growl was heard. “Katera stay back!” Kagome yelled. The growl was heard again before they breaking of wood caught everyone's attention. “You'll die for doing that to me wench!” Inuyasha yelled at his gaze pierced her with those blood red eyes. “You, let Inuyasha back into his body.” Kagome yelled at the person before her. “Keh, I do not intend to be sealed up again. This is my body once and for all.” He spat back. “I'll make sure that doesn't happen.” She yelled. He lunged forward; she drew her blade and prepared for the attack. The strange thing was, it never came. A blood chilling scream caught her heart. “Auntie!! HELP!!!” Katera screamed until claws were placed on her throat. “So what are you gonna do? Save this kid, or give me the jewel.” “The jewel?” Everyone asked in unsion. “Why would I give the jewel to you?” She shot. He pressed his claws to Katera's neck hard enough to draw blood. “Cause if you don't, I'll have to kill this kid.” Kagome froze. `Katera….' “Okay, I'll make you a deal.” She said to him. Meanwhile she put a hand behind her back and started pulling it upwards. Testsiga lifted up, and slowly made its way around everyone to keep out of sight. “You let her go; you get me and the jewel. Just let Katera go.” “Keh, how can I trust you?” He asked. She dropped her sword her bow and arrows and an extra dagger she had by her side. “How about now?” She asked nervously. He dropped Katera. And made his way over to her. Once he grabbed her and put his claws to her neck he bit her ear. She winced. “I sense a lot of power from you. Maybe I'll make you my mate.” He whispered in her ear. “Now as you promised woman the jewel.” He said softly. She shuddered. “Okay, the jewel is yours. And so am I, but before you do anything. Do me a favor?” She whispered, voice full of fear. He loved it. “What would that be my mate?” She shuddered again. “Get out of my sight!” She yelled as Testsiga came to her hands and she threw it into his, getting her throat cut by his claws in the process. But it was worth it as slowly but surely he began to change back. “Auntie, AUNTIE!!” The last thing she heard was Katera screaming for her before she blacked out.
