Chapter 20

Hurt!

“Ka-Kagome….” Inuyasha said softly as he fell unconscious from exhaustion. “Inuyasha!” Kagome cried as she caught him. “Sango, Miroku, Shippo, I am sure you have a lot of questions, but right now we need to get Inuyasha some help. Bullets are deadly. The bleeding won't stop unless we get him to a healer.” Kagome told them while trying to pick up Inuyasha. Then strong hands helped her pick Inuyasha up. She looked up and saw Miroku helping her pick Inuyasha up. “Thanks.” She said as they carried him over to Kirara. “Ok, So if Inuyasha is going to ride on Kirara, how are we going to get where we are going?” Sango ask them as they loaded Inuyasha on Kirara. “I got that handled.” Katera said as she transformed. “Whoa.” Shippo said as he looked at a black dog demon with silver stripes and she was the size of Kirara. “Get On.” Katera told them while bending down. “You can speak?” Sango asked as she got on. “Yep. What do I look like an idiot?” Katera said as she took off flying in the air. “Just follow me guys.” Kagome told them as Kirara took the air. Inuyasha was developing a fever and was whimpering softly in his sleep. He kept saying in Inu-Youkai. <Help, Help, Hurts> He whimpered rather loudly when he tried to shift his weight. <Don't move, badly hurt, listen to female> Kagome told him softly. He must have heard her because he leaned back into her and was very still. “Kagome, how much farther are we?” Miroku asked as they came even with Kirara. “It should be over that hill.” Kagome said trying to point to the hill, but it was kind of difficult with Inuyasha nuzzling his nose into her neck. “Alright.” Sango said before going back down. Inuyasha's fever was increasing, the heat was radiating of his skin.<Female, hurts, hurts, help> Inuyasha whimpered while nuzzling into her neck some more. <Help comes, hold on> She told him. “Kagome?” Inuyasha whispered. “Ya Inuyasha, I'm here.” Kags answered back. “Is it really you?” he whispered back. “Duh.” He smiled. “Good.” As Inuyasha fell back into uncosiuosness Kagome yelled over to the group. “I'm going ahead, Inuyasha fever is raging. Katera! Can you take them the rest of the way?” Katera nodded. “Meet you there Kat.” She told her soundly. She raced ahead, soon the southern lords castle came into view. Kirara landed in the court yard. While Chie came out, “Ah, my lady, you've brought Kirara home again, and who is thi….” Chie trailed off. She could recognize that face any day. “Lord Inuyasha…” She said soundlessly while looking at Kagome. “My Lady, Lord Sesshomaru?” “I will deal with Sessho later, Chie. Please, he needs help.” She said while getting down. Chie stared at her for the longest time. “I did promise Inu-Tashio that if his boys ever got ingured, I would heal them, especially after that day…..” she trailed off. “ Let's bring him in.” Chie said while walking towards them. Kagome helped Chie pick up Inuyasha and took him inside inside. `What will Lord Sesshomaru have to say about this?' Chie thought as she walked up the stairs. `Sessho, please forgive me…' Kagome thought as she followed behind her. “KAGOME!!!!” Sesshomaru yelled. `Uh Oh.' Kagome thought. “I thought I smelled that wretched half breed's scent!” Sesshomaru launched at Inuyasha. Blood splattered everywhere……but he sliced the wrong person. “MY LADYYYYYY!!!!”

Chie yelled.

Kagome gritted her teeth together in pain. “Sessh….we will settle this on the grounds we had agreed on ten years ago, alright?” Kagome grinded out. Sesshommaru just pulled his claws out of her and murmmered under his breath. “Stupid woman, follow me.” But Sessshomaru said his sentence with such hate that it made Kagome shiver and pin her ears to her head. Miroku, Shippo and Sango came in, in time for Kagome to shift Inuyasha into their arms and say, “Chie, take him to my mom's old room, and…” Kagome looked at him with concern. “Work your majic on him, kay?” “Can do my lady.” Chie said with tears in her eyes. All Kagome did was nod and started following behind Sesshomaru with her head bowed in respect. “Where is Okaa-san going?” Shippo asked. “This way.” Was all Chie said. Everyone looked worried but lugged Inuyasha in the direction of where Chie's retreating back was going. `Oh my lady, why did you do this?' Chie thought as tears ran down her cheek.
