Chapter 21

Disobeying The Alpha!

“…not doing very well…” “…will he wake up…” “…if…doesn't will die….” Inuyasha heard these words drift on and off. He felt like his whole body was on fire. But a very cool liquid was being put on him to cool the heat that was stuck to his body. He fluttered open his eyes. “W-Where am I?” He managed to stutter out. A middle aged fox demon was looking down on him. “Lord Inuyasha. You're at the Southern Lords Castle.” The woman told him softly. “Southern Lords Castle. Wha…” The last couple of hours flashed back to Inuyasha. He sat up very quickly. A little too quickly for his body's wounds. “Kagome. Where's Kagome?” he said while clutching his stomach. Chie looked down sadly. “The Lady went to console Lord Sesshomaru. He was very upset that you and your companions were here when he came.” Chie told him softly. “And where is Sesshomaru?” Inuyasha asked in a lot of pain. “He's off to make Kagome understand the punishment of the inu-youkai law.” Rin said sadly as she entered the room. The whole group stared in shock. “And who the hell are you?” Inuyasha snarled. “Well, I am your little sis in law.” Rin said while flashing Chie a sad questioning glance. Chie just shook her head. “Hold on, wait a minute did you just say that your Sesshomaru's mate.” Miroku said in unsion. “The one and only. You probably don't recognize me anymore. You guys haven't seen me since I was a little kid.” Rin told him while sitting down. “Wait,” Inuyasha said while he thought back. “You're that little brat that always followed Sesshomaru around, that's you?” Inuyasha said while staring in shock. “Not so much of a little brat anymore InuYasha. I have been his mate for seven years, eight next weekend.” Rin told him while playing nervously with a lock of her hair. “Okay, Rin, is it, what did you say about the inu-youkai laws?” Sango asked. Rin and Chie looked at each other. “It's about a promise, Kags made.” Rin told them while walking over to the window. “What promise?” Inuyasha questioned. “The promise she made to Sessh when you killed her and he brought her back to life, ten years ago.” Rin told them in a sad rush. “And what was that?” Inuyasha said through gritted teeth. He remembered every detail of that day, and didn't want it to be brought up again. “That she would never, see, speak, or visit you or your friends again.” Chie finished for her. Rin nodded. The group stood, well Inuyasha sat, in shock. “You see, when Lord Sesshomaru smelled all of your scent in the house master Inyasha, he tried to attack you. Lady Kagome blocked him and told him that it was her fault and you should not be punished because she brought you here, not the other way around.” She sighed. “He told her that she disobeyed him and she said she understood. Then they went outside.” She said with worry. “Why do you sound so worried?” Sango asked. “You see the penalty in inu-youkai for disobeying the alpha male of the pack is…” “Death. Which I was lucky enough not to receive.” Kagome said as she limped into the room with bloody stomach. Also a couple of claw marks on her face. “You see, since I am royal blood,” Kagome said while pulling up chair that magically appeared in her hand. “I was allowed to put up a fight. I did put up one but Sesshomaru won. He didn't kill me though. I don't think he could have if he wanted to, because of how close we have become.” Kagome told them while crossing her arms. Rin started ran over and gave her a hug. “You loser, you scared me half to death.” She said while hitting Kagome on the head. “Hey, you're the loser here okay, not me, Mrs. Fluffy.” Kagome cleverly said back. “Oh, ha ha, touché.” Rin said while pouring some sake to calm herself down. “Ha haha, ha ha.” Kagome said. “Do you want some Kags, it might numb your wounds?” Rin asked while giving some of the drink to Chie. “No, you know I don't drink.” Kagome answered. “Now's a good a time as ever.” Rin said while finishing of her glass, then she noticibly cringed. “You really need to get cleaned up Kagome.” “Oh really, cause you know I like to be covered in blood for hours on end.” Chie and Rin gave her a stare. “Alright, alright I'm going.” Then Kagome took notice to the group. “Alright heres the deal don't get in any fights with Sesshomaru or we're all screwed, just stay in here the rest of day and I'll explain everything tomorrow, okay.” Kagome said while walking out the door before shouting. “HOT BATH HERE I COME.” Rin and Chie shook their heads. `Sesshomaru is never going to get through this.” They both thought.

Hey you guys, this will be my last chapter for a while, I will try to update on both stories on the 8th but no promises. I am going to San Antonio the 5th through the 8th , then NY and DC the 9ththrough the 14th. I LOVE…..CHEETEOS!! If you give me CHEETEOS!! I WILL GIVE YOU THE WORLD!!! MWA HA HA HA!!!
