Chapter 24

New Allies

“What!?! Kagome I think you are crazy, this is Kagara!” Inuyasha told her while pointing a finger accusingly at Kagara. “Yes, but have you not noticed that you haven't seen much of her all of these years? She's been rooming with me;she's not the Kagara you knew.” Inuyasha looked at Kagara, she was wearing what Rin and Kagome were wearing except her shirt said, `I am the prettiest princess in the whole wide world.” And had a little girl holdingthe earth. He looked up he also noticed that her eyes weren't as evil as they had been, they were much softer, happier. “Hey babe, everything alright in here.” Shaboyka said as he walkedin. “Yeah, we don't want this stupid idiot defending you do we.” Kenji said while following his twin brother in. “Boyka, everything is fine. Just running into some old friends.” Kagara said while nodding towards the Inu-group. It was then that Shaboyka and Kenji took notice of who was in the room. “Sis!!” They both exclaimed at once. They started walking towards her; she stepped back and gave a growl. <Stay away.> she told them like they were going to listen. They charged both at once. Kagome put two fingers in her mouth and whistled. Just as they they were about to get her, she jumped into the air and sat on a broom that looked like it had better days. “You losers, I haven't forgiven you for embarrassing me. I am perfectly capable of protecting myself.” Kagome yelled at her brothers. “Not our fault you're so damn clumsy, you're always trying to get yourself killed.” Kenji yelled back. “So what, I am stronger than you both, why else would dad give me, the youngest and the only female of the Higarashi line, the Southern Lands.” Kagome said gloatingly. “Because he felt sorry for you cause you're a third breed.”Shaboyka told her firmly. She looked at him through widened eyes, her brothers were never supposed to call her…that.She look at him a bit longer before floating to the ground and shoved pass him with tears in her eyes, up the stairs. “Shaboyka, you baka. We promised we never would call her that.” Kenji yelled at his brother. “I-I-I…” Shaboyka tried to come up with an answer. “She cant help what she is, just like you, you're a hanyou, but she doesn't call you a half breed. Does she?” Kenji accussed. “No…” Shaboyka whispered. “You stupid ass! Dad gave her the lands because she is more responsible and caring than you or me. She deserves them, and you sitting there telling her other wise is ballistic!! I would blame her if she never talks to you again.” Kenji said while walking out. “I'm going back to my packs den. YOU should go apologize then go to YOUR apartment.” Kenji finished as the door closed. Shaboyka sat down in a chair and put his face in his hands. “What have I done?” He asked. Kagara came up behind him and hugged him. “It'll be alright. Just go say sorry.” “Where is she?” Inuyasha asked while standing up. “Huh?” Kagara said. “Where is she? Where is Kagome?” He asked again. “Probably in the media room.” Rin told him. He went up the stairs and sniffed Kagome out. He cracked open the door to see Kagomecrying and watching some moving pictures. It looked like a younger version of her. The little girl ran into an older mans arms. “Daddy, Daddy.” `So that's Kagome's father.' Inuyasha thought. Kagome's dad came on screen with a baby Kagome in his lap. “Kugar, honey, stop crying.” He pulled out a instrument that Kagome had played before..a..ge-tar. He started singing something and Kagome imeadiatly stopped crying. “Ha ha, Kugar a music lover, Nani. Well, then, she deserves her own song.” He strummed the strings and made a heavenly song.

Kagome stopped the pictures. She sighed. “dad, I need you more than ever now.” Upon hearing this Inuyasha closed the door. `I love her, so I shall leave her be.' And with that Inuyasha took his leave.
