InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ A Modern Fairytale: Not Quite ❯ Returning Home ( Chapter 3 )
[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
A/N: Hey guys, sorry for not updating more often, but I've had severe writer's block, and I really needed some good rest and all to get my mind back. It doesn't help that some trouble has arisen on the relationship front… Anyways… so here's the long awaited chapter! And remember guys, please read and review. Or else I might just decide that it's not worth all the effort, and… just… stop. Don't worry, that won't be any time soon.
Okay guys, the pairings will get a little odd, and confusing and mixed up and twisted, but DON'T WORRY. I know who I want with who, and it'll all work out in the end. In the pairing department. Maybe not in the other parts of the story.
READ AND REVIEW!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!

Kaya looked out the window at the landing helicopter, and her insides flipped over when she saw, or rather, smelt the person who stepped out of it.
The girl tensed, and slowly turned towards the window of her classroom. `My older sister… Kaya.' She thought to herself, as she saw the girl standing wide-eyed in the window. `She's beautiful…' Lylie thought silently to herself.
In the next instant, Kaya was standing in front of Lylie, with an odd look on her face. Then they both broke into tears, and hugged each other.
When Al finally got outside, he saw the two girls sitting on the ground, with everyone around them smiling. It really was a touching sight.
Kaya and Lylie had caught up on almost everything that they had missed with each other, except for the reason that Kaya left. And Lylie knew she wasn't going to get to hear that until much later.

Kaya's classmates had gathered at the window when they had seen Kaya suddenly disappear when the helicopter landed. InuYasha's jaw dropped as he saw the girl who climbed out of the helicopter. She was beautiful.
Her hair was a dark red, almost mahogany, chin length bob, and she looked to be about 5'9”. She walked with her back straight, and her chin up. She looked like a princess. Then he realized. She WAS a princess. This was Lylie, Kaya's younger sister. The last child born to Syren and Takeo Taisho.

Lylie was overcome with joy when she saw her older sister. They talked for hours on the lawn of Kaya's school, then when Lylie saw her sister shift uncomfortably, she invited Kaya home.
When Kaya first walked into the castle, her first thoughts were, `Wow. It's just like I remember. I wonder…' Then she leaped up onto the balcony above her, and walked down the hall towards a door that she hadn't seen for years. She pushed open the doors, and heard the familiar squeaking of the rusty hinges. Obviously nobody had oiled the doors yet.
She chuckled. `They never got around to it, I guess. It was never oiled when I was a child…' Her heart pretty much stopped when she saw the actual room. `My god. It hasn't changed since I left it.'
She walked up to an indentation on the wall, that was in the shape of an orchid, with a fire breathing dragon wrapped around it's stem, blowing fire up, and the flames made the petals. It was her crest.
She remembered making it the day she left. She had gotten enraged, and in her rage, she lost consciousness, and fell against the wall. Her aura had surged, and the mark had been in the wall ever since.
She glanced around the rest of the room, and realized that nobody had been in it since that day, 50 years ago. The bed was still all messed up and torn, there was still blood spatter on the walls, and the torn pieces of parchment that littered the floor.
Tears came to her eyes as flashes of that day came back to her. The people in the garden, the feeling hat her heart had shattered like glass, then turned to ice. Red, then… nothing.
