Hi!!! This is my very first fanfic, so be nice! Please? I wanted to name it life's greatest bitch and the she dies but I didn't think I would be allowed. But anyway on with the fic!

InuYasha: Hey!! Don't forget to tell them that you don't own me!!!!

DemonKitty: Oooooooooh yeeeaah.......

Inu:............Well!!!!

Dem: Huh?

Inu:........ Never mind!......Ok while Gena comes back to reality I might as well tell you that she doesn't own me!

Dem: Huh!!! I don't!!!! That's so sad!! I thought I did!!! SEE!!!! WATCH!!! I'll go find your license and collar!!! Oh and your adoption papers!!!!

Inu: what!!!!!!

Dem: *franticly searches for legal papers*

Inu: .........

Dem: I know there here somewhere!!

Inu: *shakes head and buries face in hand* well while she's doing that here's the

Dem: GYAAAAAAAA!!!!! A SPIDER!!!! IT'S CRAWLING TOWARDS ME!!!! EWWWWW SQUISH IT!!!!! SQUISH IT SQUISH IT SQUISH IT!!

Inu: *shakes head again and squishes spider* ON WITH THE STORY PLEASE!

Dem: fine! Crab ass.

Inu: I heard that!

CHAPTER ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! "After Dinner." (Title of chapter)

"InuYasha Please!"

"No!"

"Why!"

"Because! We have to look for jewel shards!"

"InuYasha it's just for today! Then I'll come back! I promise!"

"No!"

"InuYasha stop being a prick!"

"Prick?"

"Never mind! InuYasha I'm going home! Geeez after two years you still don't think I'll come back! Geeez! I thought you trusted me a little more then that!"

"Fine! Go home then bitch! But if you're not back by sunset I'm coming after you!"

"InuYasha don't be so stubborn! When I'm done with my errands I will come back as soon as I can!"

InuYasha stood up extremely straight tucked his arms into his haori sleeves across his chest and stuck up his nose. "Feh!"

"InuYasha your impossible!" Kagome stomped off into the forest towards the well.

`Stupid demon says I can't go home…. Fuck that shit! Did I just say that! Stupid InuYasha making me curse all the fucking time! ARRGGG!!!! Doesn't he know that this is my last chance at taking my driving test until next year! I only told him five times!'

Kagome reached the edge of the well and was about to jump in when something tugged at the back of her mind. Where was InuYasha? He was always at the well ready to argue more.' The annoying tug moved down past her throat and to her heart. `He didn't come.' "InuYasha" she whispered.

`Geeez! You want him to come?' she began in her mind. `What so he could argue with you some more and slow your escape!' `No, I guess not, it's just….' She trailed off. Kagome mentally slapped herself. `Great now I'm talking to myself!' Kagome looked down at her watch and gasped `Oh No! I'm going to be late if I don't hurry!' With that Kagome jumped into the well and back to the future.

`What was that about? She was all angry first the suddenly she got all sad and shit! Was she actually that upset that I said she couldn't go home! What the fuck! Female are so confusing! If she thinks I'm coming after her to apologies she's got another thing comin'!'

InuYasha sat in a tree with his arms folded over his chest in his haori, nose up in the air and his eyes closed and for about two whole seconds after his last statement he opened one amber eye and looked around and sniffed the air to make sure no one was around. `Damnit!' InuYasha jumped from his perch in the tree and made a mad dash for the well and jumped in head first to avoid confrontation with a curtain kitsune who had just entered the clearing.

"Mama! Sota! Grandpa! I'm home!"

"Kagome!" Sota came running into the Kitchen and flung his arms around her waist.

"Did ya bring me back anything?" he asked after releasing Kagome's waist. Kagome smirked and opened her pack that she had dropped onto the floor. "Here Sota, Keade made this for you, I want you to take good care of it and I want you to be very careful with it too, alright?"

Sota nodded and held out his hands longingly. Kagome placed a small wooden box in his hands and smiled as Sota carefully opened the box and took out a small granite knife with a wooden handle.

"Oh wow! Thanks Sis!" Kagome smiled and ruffled his hair before he ran out the door.

Kagome then went upstairs to get ready for her test. After about 3 minuets Kagome's mother Kyoko (I'm not sure what her real name is so her name is going to be Kyoko. Kyoko was the name of my former dog who I loved very very much and her name meant lily and she and her name were Japanese.) came into the room. "Hello sweetheart, Sota showed me that beautiful knife Keade made, be sure to thank her for Sota."

Kagome gave a weak smile and sighed as she put on her shirt. "Kagome dear what's wrong?"

Kagome sat on her bed and said. "Mama, would I make a good wife?"

Kyoko sat down next to her daughter and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "Of course you will! Why on earth would you doubt that?"

"It's just…" Kagome trailed off. Her mother gave her a one armed hug and Kagome sighed and continued.

"It's been two an a half years, and…. I feel totally useless compared to the others." Kagome stared at her feet at continued. "I mean Sango-chan grew up learning to fight and she has Kirara, Miroku-sama is a very good fighter and has his Kazanna, even Shippo-chan can fight better then me at times and he's just a kid! And then of corse there's InuYasha…." Kagome once again trailed off and sighed. "InuYasha risks his life for me and all I can do is yell and subdue him. No wonder he doesn't like me!" Kagome couldn't help it when tears began to fall and she broke down and sobbed into her mothers embrace.

Kyoko urged Kagome to sit up and she wiped the tears from Kagomes eyes and said. "Kagome you are smart, beautiful, brave, and you're strong! You will make a very honorable wife. Kagome I know InuYasha has feelings for you, he wouldn't sneak through that well every time you come back if he didn't!"

"Mama it's not fair! I love him so much! But all he sees is Kikyou! I wish he could look at me and just see me! Not Kikyou! I'm just his jewel detector! And as soon as the jewel is fixed he'll leave me! And go to her!" Kagome sobbed into her hands.

"Kagome, if that's how he feels then he doesn't deserve you. But he doesn't feel that way. Kagome I've…" She trailed off. Maybe you should talk to him. Kagome stared at her mother in confusion and wiped the tears from her eyes with her sleeves, suddenly noticing the clock on her wall she gasped and all thoughts of InuYasha were put aside as she jumped from her bed and exclaimed. "We're gonna be late!"

`Damnit I hate it when she cries.' Just then Kagome and her mother came running from the house and got into the car and drove down the driveway at top speed.

InuYasha raised an eyebrow at the "ca-er" and looked away towards Kagomes window and without hesitation he opened it and climbed in. InuYasha took about three steps and froze his eyes grew wider and he gasped out of shock. `Fuck! She's starting her heat cycle!' InuYasha let out a few choice curses under his breath and sat down on her bed it was still warm from when she sat there.

InuYasha laid his head down and nuzzled the blanket absentmindedly, taking in her scent. `Fuck, why now…. Why now when I finally find out that she loves me, she goes into heat!' InuYasha growled and sat up `I've been so afraid that she'd reject me that I never told her how I felt and now she fucking goes into heat! Just because she says she loves me doesn't mean she'd be my mate.' InuYasha laid down on his back and turned onto his side and curled into and little ball (like a puppy! Inu: hey!) `She has no idea what the consequences are to mating with an inu youaki!' InuYasha frowned in frustration and annoyance. Maybe Higurashi-sama is right maybe I do just need to talk to Kagome.

~~~~~Flashback~~~~~

*InuYasha snuck into Kagome's room after she had been gone for three days*

`Damnit she's not here! She must be at that "sckool" thingy."

InuYasha opened the door of Kagome's room and walked out into the hall. *Sniff* *sniff* `Ramen!?' InuYasha snuck quickly towards the kitchen and the smell of ramen. `Huh?' InuYasha stopped in the doorway when he saw Mrs. Higurashi. InuYasha was about to turn and leave but Kyoko saw him and called out for him to come join her.

"Would you like some ramen dear?" she asked kindly.

"Uhhh…. Sure." InuYasha nervously sat down and awaited his favorite dish.

Kyoko busied herself with making InuYasha some ramen and then sat down and served the both of them.

"So, InuYasha… what brings you here? Kagome is at school, but you can wait for her if you'd like too."

"Arigatou" InuYasha thanked her for the ramen and the invitation.

"Daijobu?" (Means are you ok?) Kyoko asked when InuYasha sighed and poked at his ramen.

"Hai……. No……." InuYasha sighed again and laid down his chopsticks and looked Kyoko over carefully, debating upon telling her what was bothering him or not.

"What's wrong InuYasha? Please tell me, I'd like to help, I won't tell anyone, I promise."

That said InuYasha sighed again and for some reason felt comfortable telling her what was wrong.

"Higurashi-sama… I …. I'minlovewithkagome!" InuYasha blurted out before he could stop himself.

Kyoko stared at InuYasha, amazed that he trusted her enough to tell her such a thing and surprised that he actually told her.

"InuYasha…" she began and then rushed over and gave him the biggest hug she could.

"Hig..Higurashi-sama?" InuYasha was stunned at the reaction he got from her. He had expected her to disapprove and tell him to get out or yell and scream and ban Kagome from returning to Sengoku Jidai. But no! She was hugging him! `She approves?' InuYasha stared down at her in bewilderment and asked. "Daijobu?"

"InuYasha! I would be more the honored to have you as a son!"

InuYasha nearly fainted at hearing this `She really does approve!'

"Why didn't Kagome tell me!? Oh my, I have a lot of planning to do! I want lots and lots of grandchildren! Oh my! Ji-chan is not going to be happy…. Who cares! He'll get over it! Don't forget InuYasha I want lots and lots of grandchildren! Why didn't Kagome tell me!"

InuYasha turned almost as red as his kimono "Higurashi-sama, Kagome didn't tell you because she doesn't know." InuYasha's ears flattened and he looked down so that his eyes were hidden by his bangs.

"Nani?"

"I want to tell her! But I can't! How could she love me! I'm a worthless hanyou! Kikyou would only be with me if I were human!"

"InuYasha, If I know my daughter, something like you being hanyou won't bother her she won't care, she will love you for you, you are InuYasha whether you are human, hanyou, or full demon."

InuYasha just stared at her and sighed "your right."

"Of course I am silly! I'm a mother I'm always right!" Kyoko let out a quiet laugh and turned to InuYasha. "Maybe you should just talk to her, at least then you will know."

"You are right, Arigatou."

"You're welcome, Son."

Inuyasha snuggled in closer to Kagome's pillow, which smelled like jasmine and roses and smirked as images of Kagome being pregnant filled his head. `Yes, Higurashi-sama is right I just have to talk to her and tell her how I feel.' InuYasha soon fell fast asleep.

"I PASSED! I PASSED!" Kagome sang as she skipped into the house.

"Congratulations granddaughter"

"Arigatou grandfather!" Kagome ran up and gave her father a hug and then bound up the stairs towards her room.

Kagome stopped so suddenly that she almost fell over; InuYasha was still asleep in her bed. Kagome crept over to her bed slowly and knelt down, she bit her bottom lip and sighed, `He's so…. Beautiful.' she thought as she leaned closer, `His lips…. Are so…tempting…Maybe if I…. Just… Lightly….' Kagome leaned up next to him so that they were nearly nose-to-nose; she closed her eyes and gently kissed him.

Kagome thought her heart was going to jump out of her chest when she felt him kiss her back in full. "InuYasha! I…I'm so sorry!…. Oh Kami!" Kagome pushed off from her bed so fast and hard that she fell over onto her butt with a soft thud and scooted back a couple paces before standing up.

"Kagome it's alright."

Kagome just stared at him bewilderment and pure terror. `Oh Kami! He's gonna kill me! I'm so stupid! Why did I do that!' Kagome was gripping the edge of her desk and her knuckles were turning white.

"Kagome, come here, sit down." InuYasha tapped a clawed finger on her bed.

Kagome just stared and slightly shook her head, to afraid to move.

"Kagome, please." InuYasha tried saying please to try and convince her that he wasn't mad at her for kissing her, he didn't like the fact that she reeked of fear and guilt.

When she still didn't move he stood up and walked over to her and gently brushed away the hair that had fallen over her face and looked down into her brown eyes that were filled with fear. `Why is she so afraid of me?' InuYasha's heart sunk and his ears flattened against his head and he backed away slightly, `No! I have to tell her!'

"Kagome, please don't be afraid of me I'm not mad at you." That had done the trick Kagome was no longer as afraid as she had been, now she was more confused then anything.

"InuYasha, I'm so sorry I…" Kagome was cut off when her lips were suddenly crushed into another kiss.

InuYasha brushed his tongue against her bottom lips as if asking for entrance and Kagome obeyed and let him in. InuYasha took full advantage and thrust his tongue into her mouth and fully explored it Kagome's heart skipped a beat when his tongue met hers and she counteracted his attack in full. Soon they were in an all out war to see who could dominate whose mouth first.

Kagome slowly reached up and tangled her fingers in his hair as InuYasha had wrapped one arm around her waist and placed his other hand behind her head. Kagome snaked her fingers up to meet his ears and slowly began to rub them ever so softly. Her scent becoming more and more aroused.

InuYasha broke free from the kiss first. `She has no idea what she's doing to me! Oh god it's no or never, if I don't tell her now I might never tell her.' InuYasha looked down at Kagome who was just staring blankly at him.

"Kagome, I…. I…I lo" but before he could finish those three ever so important words Sota came bursting into the room and announced that dinner was ready, but then one look at his sister and InuYasha's enraged faces he bolted out the door and ran down the stairs so fast that he was almost a mere blur.

InuYasha looked back down at Kagome whose face had suddenly become very red. Kagome looked away quickly and stuttered out "Inu..Yasha… wo..would you like to stay… for dinner?"

InuYasha smiled down at her and agreed, Kagome then started to head for the door but was stopped by InuYasha when his hand shot out and caught her wrist.

"Kagome, we need to talk after dinner."

"Alright InuYasha after dinner."

Still blushing from head to toe Kagome lead InuYasha down the stairs and into the dinning room.

Inu: * shakes head * your pathetic!

Dem: Yea! Well I may be pathetic but I control what you do in this story!

Dem: Sooo…. I could make Kagome fall for Kouga!

Dem: MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! No I wouldn't but still you better be nice or else!

Inu: * crouches down and pouts * Feh!

Dem: CUTE!!!

Inu: Shut up! And tell the people the stuff they need to know!

Dem: Oh Yea! Ok peoples this is very first fanfic so be nice! Or I'll set InuYasha on you!

Inu: what!

Dem: sorry if the charactors seem a bit OOC but it's my story so there gonna be alittle! Oh yea! The rating will go up in further chapters because of lemony goodness!

Inu: * closes eyes and sticks nose up in air and blushes *

Dem: hehehehe!! Ok I must fly I have to go to bed and get up for school soon but I promise to update soon! BYE!!!! Say good bye InuYasha!
