InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ A San Francisco Treat ❯ Chapter Three ( Chapter 3 )

[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]

A/N: I hope everyone had a nice Holiday.

Okay on to reviews. I brought out more of Sesshomaru's character in this chapter, and already had half of the chapter done before I received your review. I'm glad that you're enjoying it. It's been quite a challenge for me to write.

Yes, I agree people who move to San Francisco had better accept the society. However, I know anywhere you go…you are always going to find a rat!

I am guilty of saying that: I don't like this chapter and yes I deleted it, and taken the time to re-write it. All because a reviewer didn't like it and told me I ruined my story. That was years ago…and I just recently had a reviewer tell me that Sesshomaru shouldn't have exclamation marks, because it doesn't happen in the series. I shrugged my shoulders and laughed.

Well I look forward to see your work posted again.

Okay on with the story….

Enjoy!

Chapter Three

Outside Sesshomaru turned to Inuyasha. “What really happened today Inuyasha?—I mean in the doctors office—that's not like you? Are you okay?” Sesshomaru asked with concern, while pulling his keys out of his pocket to his Mercedes' S-class.

Inuyasha stopped and lowered his head, “I already told you nothings' wrong!”

“Don't give me that crap Inuyasha—I know you too well!” Sesshomaru snarled and he absolutely hated being lied to.

Inuyasha grumbled something under his breath, and despised Sesshomaru for knowing him so well. “Fine, I'll tell you! I thought about the day we first met.” He closed his eyes feeling guilty for even lying to him. “I'm sorry I lied. I was just embarrassed. And I apologize for missing your session.”

Sesshomaru glared at him. He was upset however, in a sense he understood. “What possessed you to think about that? I'd figure you would think about something more sinister.”

Inuyasha blushed, “believe me under different circumstances…I would act out my `perverted' fantasies. But I was daydreaming of our past, and it was a very vivid one at that!” He smirked.

Sesshomaru closed his eyes also recalling the day they had met. “I wish you didn't feel the need to lie to me.” He confessed, but changed the subject quickly to avoid an argument. “But yeah, you were striking in your red flare shirt.”

“Hey, I thought you were John Travolta—only better looking.” Inuyasha chuckled. He was pleased that they were getting along, but somehow that awkwardness' was there, and Inuyasha couldn't help that this was just some brotherly chat. He shook his head ridding himself of that awful word—the very word that became life altering, and he hated it! Every day, he would see some kind of significance in siblings whether they were walking down the street, on Television, in music, or thinking about Sesshomaru. It reminded him of the day he got his new car and then pulling out of the dealership, everybody had it!

Sesshomaru stopped walking as he looked at Inuyasha with a lover's gleam. “John Travolta?” With a sexy grin, he smirked, “It must have been my white outfit.”

Inuyasha laughed, “Nah,” he said sarcastically, “what gave you that notion?”

Sesshomaru arched his right eyebrow in amusement. He felt content with Inuyasha around and was glad that they could joke, and act as they did before this mess even started. He thought about Inuyasha everyday since that unfortunate day—even though it was a shocker, he couldn't get him out of his mind. His work began to show the signs of neglect and so did the tight net family he once had. In twenty-seven years his father never mentioned anything about him having a younger brother, and the day he'd found out—it infuriated him. He reflected on Miroku's guidance: `follow your heart—it will never lead you astray' of course, it sounded more like a philosophical poem; nevertheless, he would use those words and would overcome his moral fears.

Sesshomaru smirked, chasing his thoughts away. He was having fun and wanted to keep it that way. “So, where do you want to go to lunch?”

Inuyasha stopped; he contemplated on what he was hungry for, and there were so many good restaurants around. Some he considered the best in the country. However, one placed struck his fancy and would love to re-live the memory again. “How about we eat at one of the restaurants at Fisherman's Wharf?

Sesshomaru stopped by his car, twirling his keys and chuckled. “Fisherman's Wharf, huh?” he smirked, staring seductively at Inuyasha, “I remember….” However, he could not finish what he actually wanted to say. The last time they had ventured there, they snuck around Monterey Harbor finding a secluded spot and made love. Of course, that was late in the hours and they both had imbibed a steadily amount.

Inuyasha blushed, but needed to change the subject. The longing he saw in Sesshomaru's eyes, opened his mind to sinful but desirable thoughts, and of course memories that he really did not want to think about now. He coughed trying to hold his composure; he didn't want Sesshomaru to smell the distinguished scent of his arousal. “Am I riding with you…? Or are we driving separately?”

Sesshomaru smiled, “Get in, I'll drive.” He clicked a button attached to his key ring and unlocked the doors.

Inuyasha hesitated, but smiled and opened the gray color door. Buckling up he couldn't help look at Sesshomaru, as the warm sun rays loomed over Sesshomaru making him look ethereal. Like an angel. His silver hair sparkled like silk, and his face was ghostly white. It took all his restraint not to pounce on him…however; as much as he wanted him, Inuyasha couldn't, and his thoughts were constantly reminding him of the situation at hand. He turned quickly staring out the window and closed his eyes trying to hide the pain he was feeling in his heart.

Sesshomaru glanced over at Inuyasha, noticing his forlorn state, “are you feeling okay?”

“How do you make it look so easy Sesshomaru?” Inuyasha inquired solemnly. He couldn't help but ask, it seemed that Sesshomaru was handling this situation better than he was. “How can you still look at me, like the love of your life, and not as your brother?”

Sesshomaru remained quiet, but inside the question burned his soul as he gripped the steering wheel tightly. How dare he presume to know how I am handling this situation, he thought bitterly. “I'm not….” Was all he could think of saying? However, that wasn't entirely true. “I coming to accept the fact that we're brothers and as much as I love you there is that issue I'm still contending too.” He really didn't want to be discussing this. He was here to see if he could overcome the boundaries of unity—however, now it was looking dim.

Coming down a steep slope on the road, the scent of the ocean filled the air. Seagulls flew around aimlessly finding scraps around the harbor. However, as serene as it was outside it was becoming dangerously tense inside the vehicle.

“Pull over!” Inuyasha snarled, “I cannot be here with you! I cannot have you sending me mixed signals.” Inuyasha felt his eyes well up, but he refused to cry. All he wanted to do was run—run far and as fast as he could to get away from the situation at hand, and importantly away from Sesshomaru.

“No!” Sesshomaru snarled, “Not until we discuss this like adults. You…no, we have to accept the fact that we're related—share the same father—and talk this through!”

However, no matter how many times Inuyasha tried to understand and accept the situation, he couldn't, and Sesshomaru's words cut into him like a sharpened dagger at the mention of his father. “My bastard of a father is dead to me! I certainly hope I never have to see or hear from him again. Now pull this fucking car over!”

“You are not running anymore—I refuse!” Sesshomaru growled loudly. However, he pulled into a slot on the side of the street. He parked his car and pulled the emergency brake, then shut the car off. “Are you happy now?”

“No!” Inuyasha hissed, and then quickly unlocked the door, opened it, and fled towards the harbor.

Sesshomaru growled, also exiting the car. He quickly jumped over his hood and then gave chase. Being a full fledge demon gave him inhuman strength and it didn't take long to catch up with his brother. Grabbing Inuyasha's arm, he stopped him, turning Inuyasha to face him.

Inuyasha was panting when he looked into the golden eyes of an angry demon. “Let me go! I swear…you'll regret this!”

Sesshomaru smirked wickedly. “Since when have you ever bested me?” His tone held a challenge, his eyes dangerously passionate. He could not contain the excitement of the chase and before he registered what he was doing, he leaned down and kissed Inuyasha on the lips heatedly, pleased that the kiss had indeed been returned.

Inuyasha couldn't help but melt into Sesshomaru's kiss, it was almost natural, and it felt right. This contradicted everything. Here he was angry with Sesshomaru and now they were kissing. Inuyasha tried to push all his angry thoughts behind him, and concentrate on the situation at hand. Before he knew it, Sesshomaru pulled away.

“I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that?”

Inuyasha's eyes widened, was he serious? “This is what I mean Sesshomaru, you playing mind games. First, you kiss me and now you regret kissing me! Make up your fuckin' mind will you!”

Sesshomaru raised an eyebrow, “No, I wanted to kiss you. I've wanted to be with you for six months now. I want this…us to work, and get over the fact that we are indeed related.” He sighed, and realized he'd been doing that a lot lately. “I want us to start slow, and I certainly don't want to frighten you away.”

“Tell me Sesshomaru, indulge me please. How do we get past being brothers?” Inuyasha asked.

“Lets not argue here Inuyasha, and I don't know. What I do know is that we do. We let love guide us, and not some word. Because Inuyasha that's all it is…a damn word. Now please get in the car and stop making a scene.”

Inuyasha snarled loudly, “I already told you no! And I mean it!” He didn't care if he was making a big scene and all of San Francisco watched. “Besides, I don't have to do anything you say.”
Sesshomaru was losing his patience, “I have ways Inuyasha. You know this. Now please lets finish this conversation in the car.” Sesshomaru closed his eyes. Inuyasha was being stubborn and he shook his head negatively. “Don't make me come after you again, Inuyasha? We've a lot to discuss and I wish not to do so in the presence of humans.”

Inuyasha narrowed his eyes and turned his back on Sesshomaru, “I'll find my own way home.” He turned his head around one last time looking at his ex. “Thanks…but, no thanks!”

Sesshomaru snarled loudly. “Have it your way!” He wasn't going to let his brother get away from him that easily. If Inuyasha wanted to act like some bitch…. He couldn't finish his thought. Actions spoke louder than words as he rushed his brother from behind, quickly twirling him around and then hoisting him over his shoulder.

“You—no—good—overgrown—dog! Put me fucking down…this instant!” Inuyasha protested as he desperately tried to get out of Sesshomaru's stronghold. Instead, he hit him repeatedly on his back.

“No.” Sesshomaru said stoically. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his keys. Unlocking the door, he managed to open it and set Inuyasha down in the passenger seat. “Sit!”

Inuyasha cringed hearing the sound of his angered brother. He'd only pissed Sesshomaru off once in his life and the outcome left him alone in the bedroom. Only to finish what Sesshomaru did not. He remained silent, and couldn't believe that he was manhandled in such a humiliating way.

Inuyasha watched as Sesshomaru closed the door and walked around the car. Everything in his being told him to submit, and he knew what would happen if he ran again. He turned away staring out the window, watching people gawk at him, as if he were some kind of freak. He just closed his eyes, praying that this day would soon end. However, as angry at the situation, he couldn't help but imagine the heated kiss that happened moments ago. He smiled slightly as he placed his fingers over his lips. Was Sesshomaru right? He glanced over at his brother, and then turned away quickly. Sesshomaru was still upset, and didn't want to ire his anger further. Inuyasha opened his eyes, and realized he needed to push back his fear, and fight for what was in front of him, despite the situation. He would start now, by making amends.

“I'm sorry, Sesshomaru.”

Sesshomaru remained silent, but smirked slightly. He glanced over at his brother, noticing that he staring out the window, then headed towards the restaurant. Apology accepted.
