Chapter 13 - Locked in a Bedroom

Inuyasha and Kagome sat on the bed and stared at the door after it closed.

Kagome spoke first, "Well at least there hasn't been any yelling yet."

"She probably put a silencing spell in with the wards."

"Oh."

They sat in silence for a moment then Inuyasha spoke.

"Kagome, we really need to talk."

"Why?"

"You know why, Kagome."

"We don't need to talk about anything."

"Kagome, stop this," Inuyasha said shaking her slightly. "We need to talk about our situation."

"Inuyasha, I don't want to talk about it."

"We have to, Kagome. We can't go on like this. We can't pretend that Kikyou doesn't exist. She does and I will have to go with her in the end."

"I know, Inuyasha, I'm just having a hard time accepting it."

"Kagome, I swear if there is a way to stay with you I will find it. I can't promise you anything though and I'm not going to try. I love you."

"Inuyasha, I love you so much it hurts, but… I will accept whatever you are willing to offer me."

"That's all I ask."

"Inuyasha, I have one request for you though."

"What's that?"

"Even if you can't stay, can you hold me from time to time?"

"Of course, in fact I can start right now." Inuyasha leaned over and pulled Kagome on to his lap nuzzling into her neck. "I will not leave your side until you tell me to or it is time for me to go with Kikyou."

"You know you can't follow me to school."

"I know, but I will be with you whenever I can. I wish I could give you more."

"I understand, Inuyasha. I wish we had forever but we have to make the most of what time we have."

"I have to agree with that," he said as he captured her lips.

The kiss deepened quickly. Inuyasha slipped his clawed hands under her shirt and lightly ran his claws over her bare skin. Kagome shivered as he suckled on her lower lip.

Inuyasha let out a low growl. He knew things were starting to go too far, but he refused to stop. It felt too good, too right. He never wanted to let go.

Kagome on the other hand was in heaven. Inuyasha was actually kissing her and touching her in ways she had only dreamed of before. Yet her dreams couldn't even begin to show her how good this would actually feel.

Kagome let out a disappointed moan as Inuyasha released her lips. Only to have it turn into a near growl as he licked and nipped down her neck. Inuyasha growled in response causing some very pleasant sensations against her neck.

`If I were to die right now, I would die happy,' Kagome thought just before all of her thoughts were scattered to the winds.

"Gods, Kagome, your making me lose my mind."

"Mmumph," was all she could respond, well beyond the realm of all rational thought.

Inuyasha was barely holding on. His need to claim Kagome as his mate was steadily growing stronger. But no matter how hard he tried he couldn't stop. He knew he had to before this really went too far.

A sudden crash from the next room snapped them back to their senses.

"I guess Ume finally got fed up with Fluffy," Inuyasha said, trying to bring them out of their daze.

Kagome just gave him a goofy smile and cuddled into his chest. "Inuyasha, I'm sleepy."

"Then go to sleep, I'll be right here when you wake up." Before he had even finished speaking she was out cold. "What am I going to do with you, wench?"

`I pushed her too hard to get to the castle. Then with everything that's happened no wonder she's so tired. What I told her was the absolute truth. The only way I will leave her side is if she wants me to… Even then I'm not sure I can. I'm such a baka.'

And now for something…completely different…from the Editor!

"All right, wench! What are you doing to MY KAGOME!?!?!"

Koga, wolf demon and near-Tatewaki Kuno clone was pissed. However, this time he was pissed at…the Authoress?

"You know *I'm* the only one for Kagome! Give me one good reason why I should let you live?"

The Authoress, of course by this time, had hidden behind her "Sesshou-chan" and was trying to peek over his shoulder…failing, however, due to the large fluffy…thing over Sesshoumaru's shoulder.

"Well, maybe you ought to look behind you?" asked the Authoress, as a large shape started to loom over the wolfboy.

"Like I'm gonna fall for THAT trick. Now…*FWOOSH* di-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Little did wolfie know, but the large shape that loomed behind him was an actual Classic BattleTech Salamander Battle Armor, and it was Pissed.

"Damn it, Koga, when the Editor tells you to `Keep Out', you best damn well KEEP OUT!"

Noticing that the blackened, twitching mass that was in a classic Takahashi stunned character pose, the Editor raised his clawed foot and none too gently brought it down to snuff out the tongue of flame on Koga's tail.

"And now, we return you to your regularly scheduled fanfic…already in progress! And A-chan? You're kinda cuttin' off his air supply…"

Snaring the unconscious wolf demon in his left claw, the Editor kicked in his jump jets, leaving a slowly suffocating youkai in the hands of a maniacal loving Authoress.
