Chapter 11

Bitten and Joining

*After School*

School was finally over and Kagome couldn't wait to see Inuyasha and the others. Ever since Inuyasha left to go back to the mansion, Kikyo has been bitching Kagome and telling her that Inuyasha belonged to her and that she should stay away. And every time, Kagome would tell her to fuck off. She was now in a very pissed mood because of Kikyo, her flunkies, and especially the pee-headed Hojo.

He's been bugging her to go out with him and she refused. As she waited for Inuyasha…

"Kagome!"

She sighed angrily and turned to see Hojo running up to her. She placed a fake smile on her face. Underneath, she was screaming bloody Mary.

"Yes, Hojo?"

"I was wondering if I could walk you home."

"Thanks, but no thanks, Hojo. I can walk home by myself." She said, hoping to loose him and catch up with Inuyasha. He had told her, before he left, that he'd be there to pick her up. Hojo, being the stupid and stubborn boy he was, didn't pay attention.

"Oh, come on, Kags! I think that I should walk with you to protect you."

I don't need to be protected BY you! I need to be protected FROM you! She thought. As she was about to respond, she heard the familiar honking. She turned to see Inuyasha looking at her way while he laid on his cycle, looking hot and sexy.

Kagome was in a daze. There, Inuyasha stood in all his mighty and glory.

DAMN! He's so sexy!Kagome thought as a blush appeared on her face. Hojo looked to see Inuyasha looking at HIS Kagome. He growled low in his throat. (Can he do that?) He then turned to see Kagome blushing madly.

I don't get it! What does Kagome see in that guy anyway!? I mean, I'm way better for her than he is! He thought as he looks at Inuyasha, who's smirking at Kagome sexily and winked at her. I mean, he looks like he's part of a gang. And his skin tone's very pale! He thought.

*Inuyasha's POV*

As I rode up to the school, I noticed that Kagome wasn't in a very happy mood. I could tell, by the way her eyes were all dangers looking. Inuyasha's wondering if Kikyo had said anything that made her this angry. She's usually happy and smiling, but her aura tells me she's very pissed.

Note to self: Never, EVER piss off Kagome.

I watched as she walked outside to wait for me. I saw her frantically look around for something. I think she was looking for me. I felt happy and butterflies fluttered my stomach. Even though it was very new to me, it felt great. Kikyo had never given me this feeling, only Kagome.

What I saw next, my blood boil. That Hobo guy was hitting on MY Kagome. I heard myself growl before I could stop. I felt my demon wanting to be released and do harm on him. I held him at bay, telling him he would soon, but not now. I watched as Kagome tried to get him to leave, but he wouldn't.

I heard him tell her that he wanted to walk her home so he could protect her. I smirked and laid on my cycle with my arms on each side, supporting my weight. I knew she could protect herself. That was it! I then honked on my cycle's horn, telling Kagome that I was here. I saw her look in my direction and her eyes dazed. That's right, Kagome look at me. I thought.

The look in her eyes told me everything. She was shocked and relieved to see me. I sniffed the air and smelled her sweet scent, jasmine and roses, but I also smelt the tiniest bit of arousal mixed in. I smirked sexily at her and winked. I saw her blush.

Mission accomplished!

I had hoped that would work and it did. I then heard Hobo growl. I smelt jealousy all over his scent. I smiled.

*End of Inuyasha's POV*

Inuyasha got off his bike and walked to Kagome. He smiled at her and she smiled back. She was so glad that he was here.

"Ready to go, Kag?" Inuyasha asked. She nodded frantically, wanting to get away from Hojo. Inuyasha took her bag and held out his hand. She gladly took it and as they began to walk…

"I thought I was going to walk you home, Kags!" They both turned to see Hojo looking at them.

"I never agreed that you could! Inuyasha's taking me home. See ya later, Hojo." And they went to the cycle, leaving Hojo by himself. Inuyasha put her backpack in the storage trunk that is cycle had and closed the top. He then put his helmet on and gave Kagome hers. She gladly took it and put it on. She then hopped on behind him and wrapped her arms around his chest.

After a few moments, she was comfortable and Inuyasha hit the gas. As they rode to the mansion, Kagome tightened her grip, because she felt tired and wanted to sleep before her patrol. She laid her head on his back and fell fast asleep. Inuyasha laid his hand over hers, not wanting her to fall off. He felt her lay her head on his and knew she was tired.

*Mansion*

As they rode into the mansion, Inuyasha topped the bike and got off, carrying the Kagome securely in his arms. Her head is lying on his shoulder. He then lifted her pack onto his other shoulder and walked into the mansion. As he walked towards her "room", Shippo came running in. He saw Kagome in Inuyashas' arms and decided not to disturb them. Inuyasha nodded his thanks and preceded to her room Shippo went to find either Sango or Miroku.

*Kagome's Room*

As he opened the door quietly, he set the pack on the floor and walked to the bed and gently laid her down. He then took off her shoes and socks. He then laid the sheet and blanket on her. She moved in her sleep, but didn't awaken. He bent down and kissed her forehead.

"Sweet dreams, my Kagome." he whispered and left, quietly closing the door after him. As he closed the door, he failed to notice a smile graze upon Kagomes' face. She sighed happily and turned on her side.

*Kitchen*

Inuyasha walked in with Sango blushing red and panting, sitting on a dazed Miroku under her with a red handprint.

"Pervert." Inuyasha grumbled under his breath. He then went to get some ramen. He felt some extra weight on his right shoulder. He turned to see Shippo looking at him.

"Hey there, Shippo." He greeted. He ruffles Shippo's hair, earning him some giggles from the kitsune.

"Hey, Inuyasha." Shippo greeted back. "Why was Kagome in your arms?"

"She was very tired and I let her sleep. She needs it for her patrolling tonight. I plan on patrolling with her, to keep her safe."

"Have you asked her to join us? I really want her to. She's like a mother to me." Inuyasha looked at Shippo and saw that he had taken a liking to Kagome ever since she brought him home that night. The ramen was ready and Inuyasha took two bowls; one for him and the other for Shippo, since he also loved ramen like he did. He then walked to the table and sat down. Shippo climbed down his arm and onto the table. They then proceeded to eat.

"I haven't asked her yet, but I hope she will." Both Inuyasha and Shippo prayed that she would join. Sango and Miroku also began to eat.

"Hey, you guys." came a voice. Everyone looked to see Kagome standing there with her hair ruffled.

"Hey, Kagome!" Shippo cheered as he climbed onto her shoulder. She smiled warmly at him and ruffled his hair also. She then sat down next to Inuyasha.

"What'cha having?" she asked, looking at the ramen.

"Ramen." Inuyasha said, looking at her now cheerful face. He was glad that she was now happy and cheerful. Kagome caught Inuyasha looking at her because she turned to face him.

"What?" she smiled as she shrugged her shoulders. Inuyasha shook his head and looked back at her. He smiled a rare smile that made her blush.

"It's so great to see you happy and cheerful again, Kagome." He replied. She smiled back at him and kissed his cheek.

"Thanks, Inuyasha. You're the one who made me happy." By that compliment, Inuyasha blushed too.

"I see somebody's in love!" Miroku chorused with a perverted smile on his face. With that, he received a punch from both Sango and Kagome and two bumps from Inuyasha and Shippo.

"HENTIA!! Both the girls said. "PERVERT!" both the guys said. They all laughed, seeing Miroku on the floor with his eyes like this; @_@.

It was now 6:30pm and Kagome decided to start her patrol.

"I'm leaving to patrol, guys! I'll be back in a few hours. Shippo, ~he looks at her~ you go to bed early." Shippo whines, but it doesn't work on her. She smiles and kisses his head. As she opened the door and was about to walk out, a clawed hand gently grabbed her right arm. She turned to see Inuyasha looking at her.

"Can I patrol with you? You know, to watch your back?" he said, hoping she'd let him. She smiled at him and nodded. Inuyasha was so happy that he wrapped his arms around her waist and twirled in a circle like a madman! Kagome laughed and soon he gently let her go and grabbed his duster. They then joined hands and left. They didn't notice a pair of blue eyes looking angrily at them.

*Kagome and Inuyasha*

As they walked on, they had encountered four vampires and three demons. They quickly killed them and were now on their way to the next cemetery. Kagome was lost in thought. She wondered how Kikyo knew Inuyasha. She decided to ask him.

"Inuyasha?" she asked. She stopped and so did Inuyasha. He turned to look at her.

"Yeah?"

"How does Kikyo know you and the others?" Inuyasha had hoped she wouldn't have asked. But, he knew she would find out sooner or later. He had hoped later, but if he was going to get close to her, he knew that there shouldn't be any lies between them.

"Let's sit down and I'll tell you." They sat on a nearby tombstone. As soon as they got comfortable, Inuyasha began to tell his tale.

"I know Kikyo because she used to be my girlfriend. I thought she was nice and friendly, but one night, when I came back from my feeding, I came upon a sight that I'll never forget."

<>Flashback<>

That night, when Shippo had left, Kagome had brought him back.

As he watched her fight Kouga, he could sense that she wasn't like the others. Her aura held kindness, compassion, and warmth. After he had helped her, he watched within the shadows as she looked at Shippo and talked to him.

He saw Shippo immediately like Kagome because he bounced into her arms and snuggled closer. He knew right then and there, the he wasn't in any danger with the slayer-in fact-she, was acting like a mother to him, and asking him if he was ok and all.

That's when he left to eat and return to the mansion to take a shower. As he walked, his thoughts were on Kagome and how different she was to Kikyo.

As he walked in from feasting, he saw his friends fighting Kikyo, who held a knife to Shippos' throat. She held the frighten kitsune in a death-lock. He was struggling to get out. Sango was in her werewolf form. She was slightly built, with fur as black as midnight. Her eyes were cold and emotionless towards Kikyo.

Her claws were extended and she was growling at Kikyo. She had a lot of cuts and bruises on herself. She was panting hard. She didn't do anything. She didn't want Shippo harmed. He had small cuts and bruises on his body. Kikyo's eyes were cold and he saw nothing in them.

Miroku was a werewolf too. He was slightly bigger that Sango. His fur was black and his usual warm and kind violet eyes were now cold and as emotionless as Sango's. He also had the same number of cuts and bruises as Sango. He was also panting as hard.

The house was a complete mess. Chairs and the furniture were either torn or broken.

"Back the fuck off or I'll slit this Kits throat!" Kikyo yelled as she raised the dagger she had in her hand closer to Shippos' throat. The blade made contact with his throat and he whimpered from the small cut that appeared.

Inuyasha growled.

"Let Shippo go, Kikyo!"

All four eyes looked upon him. Kikyo smiled "sweetly" at him, but Inuyasha saw through it.

"Inuyasha, darling! What are you doing home soon?" Kikyo asked as her smile grew and "tried" to look innocent at him.. Inuyasha was glaring dagger at Kikyo and ignored her fake innocent smile. .

"I said let Shippo go, bitch!" He yelled, as he was walking towards her as he was slowly closing in on her. Kikyo saw that he wasn't falling for her "sweet talk" routine anymore. Instead, she saw anger, betrayal, frustration, and hatred in his beautiful amber eyes and they were all pointed to her.

His eyes slightly turned red at his "family" being harmed. Since his parents died, his brother, Sesshoumaru, didn't want anything to do with him, so he split the money between he and Inuyasha. After years of being on his own and now in high school, with no friends, that's when he met the others.

They were like him. Their families murdered by Naraku. So they decided to be a "family". Shippo was the youngest, so he looked to Inuyasha like a father and Sango and Miroku like an aunt and uncle.

Inuyasha felt proud of being a "father" to Shippo. Since he met him, Shippo was like a son to him. Now, his "son" was in danger from his "girlfriend" and the demon in him screams to be released. The demon knew whom his friends and enemies were and never harmed his friends. He knew Kikyo poised a threat to his family and he as ready to harm those who would.

He welcomed the demon and that's when all hell broke loose.

After a few hours, Inuyasha came around with the other hovering over him. Concern and relief radiated off of them.

"What… what happened?" Inuyasha said.

"You turned demon again. He went after Kikyo since she poised the most threat to him. He thrashed at her and when he was about to kill her, Sango stopped him and told him if he'd kill her now you'd get into trouble."

<>End of Flashback<>

Kagome gasped. She had her hand over her mouth and her eyes were wide with shock. Inuyasha looked at her.

"I… can't believe it!" she said. She felt tears building in her eyes and couldn't hold them back. Inuyasha had smelt her tears and pulled her into a gentle hug, making circles on her back to soothe her. It was working. Kagome was in Inuyasha's arms, crying and clinging to him. He had his head on top of hers.

"Shh… it's ok, Kagome." He soothed. His voice calmed her down enough that he heard her hiccup and whimper. He gently tore her away from him to look into her eyes. He saw fear in these beautiful eyes.

"I can't believe she'd do that to Shippo! He's only a child!"

"I know… I know." He pulled her back. "Kagome, there's something I want to ask you." Kagome looked at him as he looked back.

"What is it, Inuyasha?" Inuyasha gulped. "Um..I was wondering if you'd like to join us. I know you're the slayer and all, but we haven't killed anyone." He looked away, not wanting to see her face.

Kagome just sat there, shocked. Here, Inuyasha asked her to join his group. She knew he wouldn't turn her. He was asking if she'd join their group to fight the evil undead like Kouga and Naraku.

She thought quick and smiled. She took his cheek in her hand and made him face her. He looked at her, pain and rejection showing in his eyes. She looked into them and smiled.

"Yes, Inuyasha. I'd love to join you and the others." Inuyasha was so glad that he grabbed Kagome by the waist and kissed her on the lips. Kagome was shocked. Inuyasha was kissing her! He was a vampire, but that quickly left and she kissed back, wrapping her arms around his neck. Inuyasha licked her lips, asking for permission, which she quickly granted.

They broke the kiss and looked at each other. They both had blushes on their faces. "I love you, Kagome."

Kagome gasped. She'd never expected this! Her face held the biggest smile. "And I love you too, Inuyasha."

Inuyasha smiled to and kissed her deeply and passionately. She moaned as his hand started to go up her waist and towards her chest. She felt warmness go between her legs. She decided to do the same to Inuyasha so she started to rub his ears. She was earned with a groan from him. She smiled within the kiss and kept rubbing them.

They were so into kissing each other that they didn't notice a group of vamps.

"Well, if it isn't the famous slayer Kagome along with the famous Inuyasha?" Inuyasha and Kagome were on their feet within seconds, with stakes in their hands.

A few minutes later, the vamps were dust and Inuyasha and Kagome walked hand-in-hand back to the mansion.

*Mansion; Inuyasha's Room*

Inuyasha decided that they shouldn't let the others know about them so he hoisted Kagome in his arms and jumped into his window that was opened. Kagome had squealed quietly as he hoisted her and jumped into his room.

As soon as his feet touched the floor, they were at the bed. He gently laid her down and got on top of her. They started kissing each other. Inuyasha moved his kisses to her neck and when he came to the spot right under her right ear, she shivered and moaned. He had found her special spot. He made a note to use that later. As he kissed her, he started to unbutton her shirt. As soon as they were loose, he slid it off her and came back kissing her.

Kagome started the same thing. She slowly unbuttoned his shirt and kissed her way down. Inuyasha groaned as she worked. Soon, his shirt was off and she saw his chest-toned chest. (Drooling here! Everyone chill!)

He took the braid out of her hair and her hair flowed down. He gently laid her back down. He took her face in his left hand, while supporting his weight on his left. He looked into her eyes as she did his.

"Kagome, do you want this? I don't want to force you to do something you're not ready to do." He said. He had wanted this since the night he met her. Kagome looked at Inuyasha. "I've never wanted anything as much as I want you, Inuyasha. Please.. take me. Make me yours." She pleaded.

Inuyasha smiled and kissed her hungrily. Kagome moaned. As she was about to deepen the kiss, Inuyasha pulled away. She whimpered as he smiled at her.

"Kagome, if we do this, we are life-long mates." He said. Kagome knew what he meant and she wanted to be his mate. To prove her point, she moved her hair from her right shoulder, bearing her beautiful pale neck. He smiled and started kissing the junction between her shoulder and neck. He kept it up for a few minutes until he knew the blood was flowing. He then bit into her.

Kagome hissed from the sudden pain and clung to Inuyasha. The pain soon faded and was replaced immense pleasure. She arched up closer to Inuyasha and soon, she felt his fangs leave her throat and the wetness of his tongue on her wounds. He got off of her and lay behind her. He wrapped his arms around her. She snuggled close t him.

Just as she was about to fall asleep, she heard:

"You. Are. Mine!"

She felt herself nodded and fell asleep. Inuyasha wasn't far behind.
