Just to remind you, (Thanks to Catty, Catherine!) Vampires who are half human CAN be in the daylight without being burnt or dust, but they can still be harmed. Crosses, stakes, garlic, and holy water can harm them. It's the full-fledged vamps that CAN'T be in the daylight.

Chapter 18

Comforting and Heat

*Inuyasha's Room; Next Day*

Inuyasha and Kagome were cuddled together, the door locked. You could see tear stains on both of their faces. The sun shined through the room, but not as brightly as before. It was like the sun knew how the lovers felt. The loss of their pup was so great. Their auras held grief and immense sadness. The only person who was allowed was Shippo. Inuyasha heard knocking on their door. "Go away!" Inuyasha whispered, not wanting to wake Kagome who was sleeping. His amber eyes were blazed with anger.

"It's Shippo, Inuyasha. Can I come in?" Inuyasha looked at his mate to see her still asleep. He gently unwound his arms from her and went to open the door. He gently opened it and allowed Shippo to enter. As Inuyasha closed the door, he felt Shippo jump into his arms. He was crying. Inuyasha wrapped his arms around the pup and whispered soothing words. He then walked over to his mate and settled down.

After a few hours, Kagome awoke to see Inuyasha holding her and Shippo. Shippo lay in her lap. She smiled weakly and rubbed Shipp. He instantly awoke. He then hugged Kagome gently. "I'm sorry, mommy." He cried. Kagome comforted Shippo just as Inuyasha awoke. He watched as Kagome soothed Shippo and he nuzzled her neck. "You ok?" He felt her nodding. "Just upset."

*Sango and Miroku*

"I can't believe Kouga would do that to Kagome! He knew she was pregnant!" Sango yelled. She then broke down crying. She fell to her knees and cried. Miroku kneeled behind her and wrapped his arms around her. Sango didn't stop him. She was too shocked to do anything. Miroku was very surprised that she didn't do anything. Now wasn't the time. It was a time of mourning. He laid his head on hers and whispered soothing words.

*A Month Later*

It has been a month since the incident and the vampire and demon population has been down. Yet here we find Inuyasha and Kagome patrolling the areas just to be on the safe side. Just because Vampires have been scarce doesn't mean there aren't any out there. They had just finished dusting off a vampire an hour ago. Inuyasha fought with the vampire while Kagome was waiting for the perfect moment to strike and take him down. Inuyasha got to through in a punch here and there to weaken the vampire. Once the vampire was weakened Kagome walked up towards him and had the vampire die a fast and painless death as she emended the dagger inside the evil vampire. Inuyasha smirked and looked at his mate with love in his eyes.

As they walked from the last cemetery, Inuyasha picked up a scent. He sniffed and looked at Kagome. It as radiating off of her! "Kagome is in heat again maybe we should try having pups now, besides I don't know how much longer I can control myself!" Inuyasha thought as Kagome's sent reached his nose just as strong as last time when she was in heat. The demon inside Inuyasha was screaming at him to take her.

Only Inuyasha ignored it and kept tell himself that later tonight he would take her in his arms, and had all most full control over his demon side. As they continued to look around the park area for Vampires and demons Inuyasha's arm silently slithered around Kagome's slim waist. Kagome on the other hand realized what he was doing and inched closer to him.

Inuyasha has been learning to keep his demon side in check so he wont hurt Kagome or any one around him unless they were evil vampires or other demons. His eyes instantly turned red and he quickly grabbed the surprised Kagome and ran to mansion.

Kagome had no time to ask him because she saw the red and the glazed lust in his eyes. She knew she was in heat. She had started her period today.

*Mansion; Inuyasha's Room*

Inuyasha quickly jumped into his room and gently laid Kagome on the bed. He then ran fast to the door and locked it. He then returned to Kagome and kissed her hard, yet gentle and passionate. Kagome kissed him with the same raw emotion. He left her mouth and trailed down to his mark. She moaned as he kissed and nipped at it. She brought her hand up and tangled it with his hair.

"Inu…yasha." She moaned. He then used his claws and ripped her shirt and bra off. He then worked on her pants and thong. He quickly discarded them onto the floor and retuned to his minstrations. He took her left breast into his hand and began rubbing it. He heard her moaning and kept at it as he took the other into his mouth and sucked it. Kagome was in heaven. She then decided to do the same to him.

She took her other hand and began rubbing his ears. She was granted a pleasure groan-growl from her mate. Inuyasha left her breast and trailed his hand to her core. Being careful not to scratch her, he placed a finger and started pumping into her. He was earned with a moan from Kagome. He looked to see Kagome's eyes closed and her head arched up. He pumped a few more times and the added another finger. With each pump, Kagome was getting closer to her orgasm.

Kagome's hand left his ears and grabbed onto the sheets. Her knuckles were white from the pressure as she held onto the bed sheet. "Inu…yasha! I'm about to-" she moaned. Just as she was about to come, she felt his fingers leave her. She leaned down and opened her eyes to glazed red ones. "Why'd you stop?" Inuyasha didn't speak. Instead; he smiled wickedly. Kagome was confused. Without warning, he quickly removed his clothes and slammed into her.

Kagome moaned loudly from the intense pleasure she was receiving. Inuyasha groaned as he felt her warmness engulf him. He thrusted into her. His pace was fast and hard. He came out and thrusted back into her. Both were moaning and groaning. Very soon, they climaxed. Kagome arched her back as she screamed. Inuyasha roared as he felt his seed go into her and he plunged his fangs into his mark.

Kagome also bit into her mark, making it a fresh new one. Inuyasha gently drank her sweet slayer blood and took his fangs out, while thrusting a few more times, feeling his seed spill into her once again. He then climbed off of Kagome onto his left side. Kagome's body shook violently and her breathing was fast. So was Inuyasha's. After a few minutes, their breathing returned to normal.

Inuyasha then gathered Kagome in his arms and nuzzled her neck. "I'm so glad that I was in heat." She whispered. "Why?" he said. "Cause THIS time, I'm going to be a mother." Kagome turned in his arms to look at him. His eyes were amber again. She saw his huge grin. He kissed her and she kissed back. Kagome then gently ran her hand over her belly. Her hand was then covered with a larger pale-tan hand. They looked at each other and smiled. They then fell fast asleep, dreaming of what their pup would look like.
