Just to remind you, (Thanks to Catty; Catherine!) Vampires who are half human CAN be in the daylight without being burnt or dust, but they can still be harmed. Crosses, stakes, garlic, and holy water can harm them. It's the full-fledged vamps that CAN'T be in the daylight.

Chapter 20

Where's Shippo and Meeting the Family

*Inuyasha and the others*

The gang was shocked. The building that Shippo was in was in flames. Inuyasha drove faster. As soon as they reached the site, Kagome busted the door open and scrambled out. Inuyasha and the others weren't far behind. "Shippo?" Kagome called. "SHIPPO!!" Kagome ran around, looking at the people who got out. She ran around and saw Kaeda. She ran to her. She and Rin had only minor bruises and cuts.

"Kaeda, where's Shippo?" Kaeda looked at Kagome. "As the building collapsed, he was hit and we don't know where he is." Kagome gasped. She felt faint and luckily Inuyasha was behind her. He gently wrapped his arms around her. She turned in his arms and clung to him, crying. "Mommy." came a whisper. If it wasn't for Inuyasha's super hearing, he wouldn't have picked it up. His ears twitched to where the sound was coming from.

"Mommy." He heard it again. He knew that voice. He gently set Kagome next to Kaeda and went to see where the noise was coming from. He looked at the building. It was a huge mess. There was huge crumbles of concrete and rubble. He looked to see if anyone was looking and was relieved that no one was. He then entered the building.

*Inside*

Inuyasha looked round. It was a mess. Rubble and desks were prowled everywhere. You could hardly recognize it. "Mommy!" His eyes widen. "That voice! SHIPPO! Inuyasha thought as he ran towards Shippo's voice. He kept hearing the voice and came upon a room that was a mess. Bookcases were flung to the floor and desks were in pieces. "Mommy." He turned around and headed towards the bookcase. He lifted it and saw nothing.

"SHIPPO!" Inuyasha yelled. "D-Daddy? DADDY!" Came; the weak reply. "Shippo, where are you!?" Inuyasha said. He didn't a response. He frantically looked around. "SHIPPO, ANSWER ME!" He heard rustling on his right and turned to see a small clawed hand. He ran and picked up the debris that was on top. As soon as he had everything off, he looked to a much bruised Shippo. He had cuts and bruises all over him.

Inuyasha gently gathered the injured pup in his arms and made his way out. On the way, he had his arm over Shippo, protecting him from debris that might be loose. Shippo clung to Inuyasha.

*Kagome*

Kagome was crying and Sango and Miroku were tying to calm her down, but couldn't. "MOMMY!" Came; a voice. Kagome and the others looked to see Inuyasha and Shippo running to them. As soon as they were reunited, Kagome hugged Shippo. "I thought…" Kagome began, but was cut off by Inuyasha. "He hid under a bookcase. The clever pup." He said as he playfully ruffled Shippo's hair. Inuyasha sat behind Kagome and wrapped his around his family.

As they talked, a firefighter came up to them. "Do any of you know who might have done this?" Everyone shook their heads. The fighter thanked them and left. Shippo felt uncomfortable. "I know who did." He whispered. Everyone turned to him. "Who?" Shippo looked at Inuyasha. "Naraku." Inuyasha growled. Shippo took out a piece of paper and handed it to Inuyasha. It was a white paper with red spider on it. Inuyasha recognized it as Naraku's insignia.

Everyone then left.

*Inuyasha, Kagome, and Shippo*

As they drove to the mansion, Kagome remembered her family was coming home from vacation. "Inuyasha, I need to go home." Inuyasha looked at her. "That's where we're going." "No. I mean MY home. The shrine where I live. My family's coming home and they're probably wondering how I am." Inuyasha sighed. "Ok." They then went to the shrine.

*Shrine*

As they stopped in front of the shrine, a boy with black hair boy about 6-7 came running to them. "KAGOME!" he cheered as he hugged his sister. She gladly hugged back. "Hey, lil brother. How was the vacation?" "It was great! I got to meet my favorite superhero!" Souta ranted on and on. He then noticed Inuyasha and him holding Shippo in his arms.

"Who are they?" Souta asked. Kagome turned to her mate and pup. "My boyfriend, Inuyasha and Shippo." "Cool!" Souta cheered and ran to Inuyasha. He looked at him. Inuyasha watched as the boy inspected him. "He's better than your last boyfriend, Kags." Inuyasha growled. He looked at Kagome and she shook her head. She would tell him later.

As they entered the house, Sakura (Sakura means Cherry Blossoms in Japanese.), Kagome's mother, came walking in. "Kagome!" she cheered as she hugged her daughter. Kagome hugged her back. "It's so good to see you, mother." As soon as they let go, Sakura looked at Inuyasha. "Hello, young man. I'm Sakura; Kagome's mother. What might your name be?" she said as she held her hand out.

"Inuyasha, ma'am." He responded as he shook her hand. As soon as they dropped, Sakura led them to the living room. "Please make yourself at home, Inuyasha." Inuyasha sat down with Shippo in his lap and Souta sitting next to him. Sakura then took Kagome's arm and as she led her away, Inuyasha stood up. He was about to follow, but Sakura stopped him. "I'm just going to talk to Kagome. It's a mother and daughter talk." Inuyasha nodded and sat back down.

*Kagome and Sakura*

They sat down at the table and talked. "Kagome, where have you been? All month, I've tried contacting you, but you weren't here." "I've been with Inuyasha, mom. He has been looking out for me." Sakura smiled. "That's very nice of him and by the way he looks at you, I'd say he's attracted to you." Kagome slightly blushed. "Mom, he and I are involved. He's my boyfriend."

"Well I think he's much better for you then your last boyfriend. What was his name? It was…" But Kagome interrupted. "It doesn't matter, mother. That's in the past and Inuyasha's my future." Sakura smiled and patted her head. "I'll start making dinner. I hope Inuyasha can stay for dinner." Kagome smiled as her mother started. "I think he'll enjoy your cooking, mom. I'll go and see if he wants too." And she left.

*Inuyasha*

As Kagome walked in, she saw her grandfather and Inuyasha in piles of playing cards. Inuyasha looked like an Egyptian mummy wrapped up in bandages. Kagome tried to contain her giggles, but couldn't. She then fell into a fit of laughter. Inuyasha heard her giggling and turned to see her on the floor. He slightly growled. "I'm very happy you find this amusing, Kagome. But, could you please GET ME OUTTA THIS!?" Kagome stopped and stood up. She then helped him peel of the cards.

Later on, the family had dinner and talked. During dinner, Sakura learned of Kagome being the slayer, Inuyasha is a vampire and half demon and him and her being mates and her being pregnant. They thought she'd flip, but she wasn't. She was very surprised at her daughter being a slayer, but she was very excited that she would be a grandmother.

Gomen that the chapters were late! It wasn't Shero's fault it was mine. I haven't had much time to get on the computer this week and I sent them to her last night only I did it during a thunderstorm and we lost power and she didn't get them until today. So please don't be mad at Shero….
