Just to remind you, (Thanks to Catty; Catherine!) vampires who are half human CAN be in the daylight without being burnt or dust, but they can still be harmed. Crosses, stakes, garlic, and holy water can harm them. It's the full-fledged vamps that CAN'T be in the daylight.

And I'm adding two new characters that are NOT mine! They belong to my very good friend, ZypherDragon. So, this chapter's for you, Zypher! Aqua and Blade are two of them!

Chapter 23

Meetings and death

* Nine months later*

It has been nine months since Exotica and Mistof have been born. Everyone has been helping with them. The pups have been quite a handful. They would hide from their parents, but Inuyasha was able to pick up their scents. Exotica's scent; vanilla and sand wood. Mistof's scent; jasmine and the scent after a rain shower. He found their scents quite pleasant. The pups loved playing hide and seek. Even if the pups were twins, Mistof kept a protective eye on his twin.

Right now, Mistof and Exotica were playing tag while Kagome and Inuyasha were helping Sakura. Shippo watched his siblings play. He sat on the branch of the Inuyasha tree. (Please tell me the actual name! I don't know it!)

*Exotica*

Exotica is hiding from Mistof in the game of hide and go seek.

Exotica wore a blue t-shirt with black shorts and shoes. Her hair is black like her mother's with silver high lights in her hair (that she inherited from her father) that's flowing gracefully, down her back, and her ears are twitching to any sound that comes in contact with them. Her eyes are the same color as her mothers a chocolate brown. Her eyes follow her brother's every move, and as she sees' him turn away from her hiding spot she slowly moves back gently so she wouldn't make a sound.

Mistof wore a red shirt, blue shorts and shoes. Mistof has Inuyasha's ears, silver hair, and golden amber eyes with a hint of brown in them. At this moment Mistof is trying to listen intently for any noise that his sister would make. Exotica hid further into the shadows. As she backed up, she bumped into something. She and what ever she bumped into tumbled a little until they came to a stop.

She ended up lying on her back with the being on top. She turned her eyes and stared into crimson eyes. They looked very cold and emotionlessly at her. The boy had long black hair with gold tints in them. His tail was also black with gold tints in it. He had wolf ears on top of his head. They were black with gold tints. He wore a gold shirt with black pants. He had razor sharp claws. His eyes held anger in them. He got off of Exotica and crawled a few feet away, crouching in an attack form.

He growled at her, sensing her fear that radiated off of her. He looked her up and down. He had to admit, for a half-breed, she was pretty. "What are you doing here, half-breed!?" The stranger growled as he advanced towards her. Exotica whimpered and backed away, while the boy still advanced on her. As she crawled away from the boy, she stumbled on a root and fell on her knee. The boy's eyes widened at the sight of blood on her knee.

"Are you ok?" He asked suddenly. His voice held concern and worry in it. Exotica looked at her knee and as she touched it, she whimpered from the pain. The boy slowly crawled to her and gently took her hand in his. Exotica watched as he took her hand away from her knee. The boy looked at her wound and ripped off a piece of his shirt. He then wrapped it around her knee. As soon as he was done, he looked at her.

"Thanks." She whispered while looking away. He nodded and asked again. "What are you doing here?" She looked at him. "My brother and I were playing tag and I hid. When he looked towards my direction, I backed up more into the woods and I hit you. Gomen." The boy sighed and sat next to her. "It's ok." "What are you doing here?" The boy sighed. "I was kicked out of my pack." "Why?"

"My tribe couldn't take a half wolf demon like me. The others were full demons. My father's the leader and my mother's the Alpha female. The others decided that would either be me and my mother or them. It was my mother and I." Exotica listened to his tale. "Where's your mom?" She saw a few tears escape his eyes. She took her hand and gently wiped them away. The boy looked at her surprised. "My mother was killed by a demon. I've been on my own for two years now."

Exotica felt terrible for the boy so she laid her head on his shoulder. The boy looked at her. This was the first time someone has shone compassion for him. He suddenly felt bad for scaring her. "I'm sorry." She whispered. The boy sighed and laid his on hers. "What's your name?" The boy asked. "Exotica. You?" "Aqua." She giggled. Aqua looked at her. "What's so funny?" Exotica looked at him. "Gomen, but your name means, "water"."

"So!?" Aqua said. "I mean no disrespect, I just found the name to be cute and I like it." Aqua slightly blushed and looked down. "Thanks." He mumbled. Exotica giggled. Aqua looked at her and saw her smiling him. Just then the bushes rustled. Both stood up and Exotica hid behind Aqua and whimpered. There, standing in front of them was a blue/Dark blue striped wolf with a skull-like tattoo on his right thigh.

The wolf demon looked at Exotica. Aqua narrowed his eyes and growled. He didn't know why, but he felt very protective of Exotica. She hid further behind Aqua and peeked her head out. "What do you want?" Aqua growled. "I want the she-dog, wolf-turd." Aqua stood in front of Exotica. "She's not going anywhere with you!" "She is! For I am the leader, Blade, of the Wolfe Clan and I've chosen her as my mate."

He made a grab for Exotica, but Aqua pushed him away. "Don't touch her!" He yelled. Blade stood up and before anyone saw anything, Exotica found herself in Blade's arms. "Let me go! HELP! AQUA! MOMMY! DADDY!" Aqua jumped after them.

*Inuyasha and Kagome*

They just finished with their chores when they heard, "HELP! AQUA! MOMMY! DADDY!" They both ran to se their daughter in a stranger's arms, squirming to get out. They then saw Aqua going after her. Inuyasha growled and leapt after them. Kagome ran the same way.

*Exotica*

She and Blade landed on the ground and she kicked him in the leg. He groaned in pain and loosened his grip. She slipped away and as she ran, nut she couldn't move fast because of her injured knee. It hurt as she ran. Blade transformed into his wolf form and ran in front of her. She stopped and whimpered. She backed up as he advanced on her. She knew how to fight, but she was frightened. "HELP!" As these words came out of her mouth, Aqua sprung in front of her and slashed at Blade. He stumbled back and Aqua stood protectively in front of Exotica. "Don't touch her!" Aqua yelled.

Blade sprung on them, Aqua held Exotica and both had their eyes closed. Exotica whimpered and clung to Aqua. Aqua growled. Just as Blade hit them, he was suddenly blown away. Both pups opened their eyes to see Inuyasha standing protectively in front. "DON'T DARE TOUCH MY DAUGHTER!" Inuyasha roared.

Kagome then rushed to her daughter's side "Exotica!" She yelled. Both pups turned to see Kagome. Exotica ran out of Aqua's arms, much to his disappointment, and ran into her mothers' arms.

"MOMMY!" Exotica cried. Kagome stroked her daughter's hair and whispered soothing words. Aqua watched. "She's my woman!" Blade yelled. Inuyasha looked at Blade. "I suggest you leave, wolf, before I kill you." Blade left. Inuyasha turned to his mate and the two pups. He walked to them. Aqua moved away. Inuyasha looked at him. "Who are you?" Inuyasha asked gruffly. "Inuyasha!" Kagome hissed. Inuyasha tore his eyes from Aqua and looked at her.

She was angry with him. His ears drooped. "I'm sorry." He turned back to Aqua. "Who are you, young man?" Inuyasha asked more gently this time. "Aqua." "You're a half wolf demon?" Kagome asked gently. Aqua looked at her and nodded. After Exotica calmed down, she looked at Aqua and ran to him. Both adults looked confused. Both pups looked at them. "Aqua saved my life from Blade, daddy." She explained.

Inuyasha looked at the wolf cub. "Why would a wolf cub save my daughter? He must have an ulterior motive." He thought. Kagome walked to Aqua and bent down, laying a comforting hand on his shoulder, and giving him a warm smile. "Thank you for saving my daughter." "What are you doing in these parts of the woods?" Inuyasha asked. Aqua didn't trust the adults, but when he looked at Exotica, he saw that her parents could be trusted.

"I was banished from my tribe because I'm a half demon. My father was the Alpha male. After I was born, the pack decided that either they go or my mother and I go. It was very hard for father and he banished my mother and I. I despise him for doing that to us!" Aqua yelled and he clenched his fist, making him bleed. Kagome and Inuyasha were shocked. Exotica laid her head on his shoulder, giving him strength and support. Aqua laid his on hers, and showing that he was grateful.

The adults watched the show of affection between the pups. "Where's your mother, Aqua?" Inuyasha asked. "She died two years ago." He said as he cried. Exotica looked at her mother helplessly. Kagome walked to Aqua and scooped him in her arms, whispering soothing words while making circular motions on his back. Aqua looked at Exotica. He looked scared. She nodded to him and mouthed; "It's ok. She's very nice." Exotica looked at her father and saw that he didn't like him. She crawled to him and lay in his lap.

"Daddy, please don't be mean to him, he saved my life." Inuyasha looked at his daughter and sighed. He nodded and hugged her. After Aqua calmed down, he climbed out of Kagome's lap. "What's wrong?" Kagome asked as she reached out. Aqua moved further away. Exotica moved out of her father's embrace and went to his side. He calmed down. "He seems to only be comfortable with Exotica." Kagome said. Inuyasha watched them. "Where are you staying, Aqua?" Kagome asked. He looked at her.

"The forest." He answered. He was very uncomfortable with them. He only felt comfortable with Exotica. "How do you survive?" Inuyasha asked. "I taught my self how to fight and I hunt for food." Aqua answered simply. "You can stay with us. My mother would love to have you stay." Inuyasha looked at her shocked. "No, Kagome, he can't stay with us." Both girls looked at him. "Why?" both asked. "He's wolf!" he replied. Aqua was angry so he ran into the woods. "AQUA!!!" both girls yelled.

Exotica had tears form in her eyes and she looked at her father. "How could you!?" she screamed and ran home. Inuyasha looked at his daughter's retreating form and felt bad.

*Shrine*

As they neared the shrine, they saw it on fire. They ran towards it. "MOTHER! SOUTA! SHIPPO! GRANDPA! MISTOF!" Kagome yelled. The fire was engulfing everything. They heard coughing and turned their heads to see Sakura, Souta, Shippo, and Mistof, but no grandfather. "Mom!" Kagome yelled as she ran to them. The others ran with her. Kagome picked up Mistof and Shippo. Exotica ran to her grandmother. "What happened?" Inuyasha asked. "Someone came running in and set the place on fire." Sakura said. "Where's grandpa!?" Kagome said. Sakura then remembered he was still in there.

"Oh, NO! He's still in there!" She yelled. Inuyasha sprung into the fire. "INUYASHA! DADDY!" Kagome and the two pups (Mistof and Exotica) yelled. Exotica were about to run after him, but Mistof held her. After a few minutes, Inuyasha came out, carrying Jii in his arms. He was very bloody and had numerous cuts. The ambulance appeared and got to work.

*Three hours later*

Everyone just had minor cuts and bruises, but Jii wasn't very fortunate. The paramedics checked his pulse and other things. After a few more moments, one paramedic came out. Everyone was huddled together. "How is he?" Sakura asked. The guy looked at her and shook his head. "I'm sorry." Sakura broke down crying. Kagome also broke down. Her grandfather was dead. Mistof went to his parents and so did Exotica. Aqua watched them from his hiding place. "She has lost her grandfather like I lost my mother." Aqua thought.

He silently went behind Exotica and laid a comforting hand on her shoulder. She turned to him and hugged him. He hugged back. She cried. "Shh. Its ok." He whispered soothing words into her ear. Mistof looked at them. "Who's he!?" He said, pointing to them. "That's Aqua, Mistof. And he shouldn't be here!" Inuyasha said. Mistof looked at Aqua and didn't trust him. He vowed he'd keep an eye on him. "Inuyasha, please. Just for now. Exotica's in a lot of pain and I know she can use a friend right now." Inuyasha sighed. He would allow the wolf cub to comfort his daughter, but after that, he would return to the woods.

-I know I killed the grandfather off. Please don't get angry with me! I didn't know how to place him in the story. If you still can't figure what the two characters look like;

Blade: A blue full wolf demon with a small patch of lavender near his forehead. He has red eyes.
