Just to remind you, (Thanks to Catty; Catherine!) vampires who are half human CAN be in the daylight without being burnt or dust, but they can still be harmed. Crosses, stakes, garlic, and holy water can harm them. It's the full-fledged vamps that CAN'T be in the daylight.

And I'm adding some new characters that are NOT mine! They belong to my very good friend, ZypherDragon. So, this chapter's for you, Zypher! Aqua and Blade are some of them!

Chapter 24

Missing him and kidnapped!

*1 year later*

It has been a year since the fire. Kagome and the others were close to graduating from high school. Kikyo and Naraku haven't been seen since the fire. The death of Jii has been heavy on the family, especially Kagome, Sakura, and the pups. Aqua has been keeping an eye on Exotica. No one knew he was near. They rebuilt the shrine and looked the same as it did before. They built a memorial for Jii-san.

He kept close to Exotica and never let her out of his sight. Mistof had a feeling someone was watching his sister, but these two had one thing in common-protecting Exotica. Wherever she went, he would stay in the shadows and watch her. Exotica had a feeling she was being watched and enjoyed the feeling.

Right now, Exotica were helping her mother clean the dishes and the kitchen. Mistof was practicing fighting skills with his father and Aqua watched in the shadows. He stood in the same position as the men and did the stances as they did.

*Exotica*

She and her mother were done with the cleaning and she went to see what her brother and father were doing. The others then went inside and took a shower. Mistof wore a white shirt and blue jeans. Inuyasha wore a red shirt and black jeans.

"Dinner!" called Kagome. All three heard and scrambled to the table.

*After Dinner*

After dinner, the family went to the living room and sat down. Inuyasha/Kagome, Mistof with Shippo and Sakura, and Exotica. They decided to watch a family movie. It was Beauty and the Beast. As they watched, Kagome and Exotica became sleepy. The scene is where Belle was rode from the castle after the Beast scared her because she was in his secret room. Exotica laid her head on the floor. Aqua watched from the windowsill.

He watched and waited. "Hush, Mistof! Do you want to wake Exotica and your mother?" he asked. Mistof's ears drooped and he looked down. "Gomen, father." he said. Inuyasha nodded and turned to Kagome. She was sleeping very peacefully while resting her head on his shoulder. Inuyasha scooped Kagome in his arms and walked to their room.

Aqua watched them. He saw Sakura, Shippo, and Mistof go to bed. He then, very carefully, opened the window and crept inside. He looked at the sleeping Exotica and smiled. He had to be careful at not getting caught.

He then gently picked her up and lay where Inuyasha and Kagome once sat. Exotica snuggled closer to him. He wrapped his arms around her. He felt his eyes drooping and tried to stay awake, but in the end, sleep had won. As the movie ended, Sakura came down and saw her granddaughter in the wolf's arms. A smile plagued her lips. Exotica let out a happy sigh and snuggled closer to Aqua.

Sakura knew that if Inuyasha knew Aqua was here, he would be pissed. She grabbed a blanket and as she covered them, Aqua opened his eyes and they widen with fear. Sakura shook her head and whispered, "I won't tell Inuyasha you are here. I know he told me everything and you seem like a nice boy. You'll have to wake early to not be found." Aqua nodded his thanks and went back to sleep.

*Morning; Aqua and Exotica*

Aqua awoke to birds singing quietly. He looked to see Exotica sleeping peacefully. He smiled and nuzzled her neck. He heard her purr. He stopped and got off. He went to the open window that Sakura had opened. He jumped onto the windowsill and looked out. "I don't know what you have done to me, Exotica, but ~looks at her and a smiled appears on his face~ I really like it. I just wish I could see you smile at me," he thought sadly. He looked to see a red rose and he plucked it.

He jumped down and set it near her. He gave her a peck on the cheek and vanished. He never saw the warm old eyes watching him. "I see he cares for my granddaughter very much. I just wish Inuyasha wouldn't have told him never to see her." she thought and went into the kitchen.

*2 hours later*

Exotica awoke, feeling refreshed. As she stretched, she saw a single rose next to her. She gently took it in her hand and smelled the sweet scent of it, a smile plastered on her lips. "I wonder who left this here." she thought. She then thought of Aqua. She missed him dearly and wished she could see him again. She hated her father for telling her she couldn't go into the woods without her parents or Mistof. She would crept out of her room at night and flee to the woods to see if she could find Aqua, but had no luck.

"Aqua," She whispered. "I wish I could see you again." Tears then begin falling from her eyes. Sakura came out to see her granddaughter crying. She sat down and brought her into her arms.

Exotica clutched her grandmother and cried harder. "Exotica, are you ok?" Sakura asked. "I miss him, grandma!" "Who, sweetie?" Sakura asked. "Aqua. I miss him." Sakura hugged her and soothed her. After a few minutes, Exotica calmed down and she helped her grandmother cook breakfast.

A few minutes later, everyone ate and was on their ways. Shippo, Mistof, Exotica, and Souta went to their school as did Inuyasha and Kagome.

*Inuyasha/Kagome*

As they walked to class, they saw Sango and Miroku walking to them. They saw them hold hands. "It seems they're together." Kagome whispered. Inuyasha agreed. They met up them and went to class. During the class, Naraku looked at Kagome hungrily. She ignored him, but heard Inuyasha growling. She laid a hand on his shoulder and he calmed down. Kikyo threw dirty looks at Kagome, but she flipped her off.

*Lunch*

Kagome went to her locker and grabbed her lunch. She never saw red eyes watching her. She grabbed it and left. "Soon, Kagome. You will be mine!" the voice said. He then knew how to get her to his. He then went to make his plan in motion.

*At Exotica's School*

Exotica were playing with a few other kids when the teacher called her. "Exotica, will you please come here?" Exotica turned to her teacher and ran to her. "Yes, sensi?" "This man here to take you home. He says that something has happened to your mother." Exotica looked at the man. Being the naïve and sweet held her hand out. The man took it in his and led her away.

"Is my mommy ok?" she asked. "I don't know, but your father told me to come and get you." As he led her to a black limo, Mistof and Shippo stopped playing and looked to see Exotica being led away by a man they didn't now. "EXOTICA!!" both yelled and ran after her. She and the man turned to see them running towards them. "Mistof, Ship-" she called but a hand clasped over hers and she was hauled into the limo. Her creams were muffled. She struggled to out of the man's arms, but couldn't.

She then felt herself go limp. As the boys neared, the door was slammed on them and the limo sped off with smoke. "NO!" the boys yelled. They then ran home.

*Shrine*

"DADDY! MOMMY!" both boys yelled. Inuyasha and Kagome came running in and each caught one of the pups. "Mistof, Shippo, what's wrong? Where are Exotica?" Inuyasha said. "S-s-someone t-t-took h-her." Mistof said, catching his breath. "Who took her!?" Kagome said. "It was…" Shippo began.
